Local gem for Middle Eastern food! Kubba House is a true hidden gem for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. While there are a few seats inside, it doesn’t really have the vibe of a dine-in restaurant — more of a casual spot — so I opted for carry-out. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, packing everything carefully with great attention to detail. I ordered the Combo for Two, which was very generous in portion — easily enough for two hungry people. It came with two types of soup (not sure of the names), one bean-based and the other a potato soup. Both were delicious, but I personally preferred the potato one. I also added a small side of hummus, which was smooth and flavorful. The dinner felt like a perfect sampler — a great way to try a bit of everything. The chicken cream chop was crispy on the outside and incredibly tender inside. The beef shawarma was slightly dry, but still good. The beef kafta was the standout: super juicy with that fresh-off-the-grill flavor that just draws you in. Wrap everything in the warm pita bread, take a bite, and you’re instantly hit with the rich, aromatic taste of the Middle East. On top of all that, the owner was friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back again! Highly recommended for anyone looking for real, hearty Middle Eastern food.

I ordered most of the food for my daughter’s party in Ann Arbor. This isn’t the first time we’ve ordered from them, and once again, they delivered beautifully. The food was ready on time, freshly made, and delicious. I truly appreciate the consistency in quality, freshness, and taste. All 50 of our guests enjoyed it—thank you, we re-ordered for my best friend party and it was great as well. Thank you for the great service.,

Stopped here for lunch on my break from work and got food poisoning following my meal on 5/28/25. I had to call off work the next day. Although there was only one other customer in the restaurant at the time I placed my order, the man behind the counter was in a rush and not helpful. I would not recommend eating here.

I ordered about 30 dollars worth of food and it could have easily fed 3 people! The lentil soup is super good, I ordered a cup and I'm pretty sure they gave me a bowl. I got the chicken shawarma dinner and it came with so much food. I got the curry sauce which had potato in it and is very good with a nice spice to it. All the veggies that came with the meals were very fresh. My husband picked it up and said the place seemed well ran and efficient. Looking forward to ordering from here again.

I ordered a chicken fattoush salad online. While placing the order, it prompted me to choose both the salad size and the size of the chicken. I selected a large and paid $6.65 for the chicken. When I went to pick up my order and got home, I realized there was no chicken included. I called the restaurant, and the same person who handed me my food knew exactly which order I was referring to. I told him the chicken was missing, and he said it wasn’t missing—that I had just ordered a salad. I told him I had the confirmation email right in front of me, clearly showing that I ordered a chicken shawarma salad. He then blamed the issue on DoorDash, saying their online platform is messed up and that the restaurant has contacted them multiple times to fix it. I told him that’s between them and DoorDash, since they’ve chosen to partner with them. He insisted it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault and that they’ve already tried to resolve it. I asked why, if this is a known issue, no one mentioned it to me when I picked up the food. Why wasn’t I informed that the chicken I paid for wouldn’t be included? He just kept arguing, so I ended the call. I won’t be going back there again.

My favorite restaurant! We have catered multiple parties from here - usually getting rice, meat skewers, falafels and veggies. From the frozen section, we love the kubba hamouth and chicken kofta. And last, but not least, the hummus, tabbouleh, dolmas and pickled veggies in the to-go section have made it so we will never buy those items from the grocery store again. Thank you, George!

Google
Amazing food! Their hummus is best in the area! Falafel is like mom makes and I’m Jordanian! A little expensive but worth it!

Yelp
My niece, an NP, LOVES THIS HUMMOUS!! I brought it to her party a couple of years ago and it's on my list when we go visit.

Yelp
My fiance ordered the 5 quarts of dolma from this restaurant. He placed the order on Wednesday (way more than 24 hours in advanced). The guy on the phone first said "I dont think we have enough." When he asked his coworker, they kept my fiance on the phone for a good few minutes and he came back and said, "actually we do have enough for friday." Attached to this review is a picture of how much dolma they gave. It's no where close to "5 quarts". At most it's 2 to 3 quarts and 3 is overestimating. The 5 quarts of dolma costs 80 dollars. There is no way this is 80 dollars worth if food. I've ordered this from them before. This is only 2/3 of what I got before. They just gave me whatever little they had left over and called it 5 quarts. They even tried spreading it throughout the tray to make it look like it was more than it was. The reason why you order at least 24 hours in advanced is to give them time to make it. We ordered about 48 hours in advanced and they chose to give us leftovers and cheat us instead of making more.

Yelp
This our regular takeout place for a reason. Our kids love it and so do we. Kids love the Chicken Cream Chop and rice. My wife and I like the Iraqi salad, cilantro jalapeño hummus and the curry that comes with every meal. I wouldn't recommend foe dining in per se but the staff is friendly.

Yelp
I have had Kubba house cater work events multiple times and I can't recommend it highly enough. Mind that they have a catering menu for sandwiches, but I get the combos for 8 or 12 people. Portions are huge. I got two orders of the combo for 8 people because I was expecting to feed about 16 people, it it was enough food to feed over 20 people The food is great. I love the beef kafta, chicken kafta, shish tawook, chicken cream chop (breaded fried chicken), kubba mosul, rice, pita and falafel. I confess that I don't care for the chicken or beef shawarma, which are drier than their other meat options. If you need catering, I can't recommend kubba house enough. It's always a big hit among meat eaters and vegetarians. Instead of the catering menu for sandwiches, I suggest the combination dinners where you can choose combos for up to 12 people. If you have vegetarians, add falafel as a side with some hummus and you'll have a great catered lunch for work or your family. Portions for the combo dinners are GIGANTIC. And of course it's great for just lunch or dinner. If I want Mediterranean food while I'm in Novi, I'll get Kubba house or Alexandria.

Yelp
This is the spot for authentic Arabic (Chaldean style) food that is made with care and quality like it came out of a family members kitchen. You can't beat this place, Kubba House is legendary if you truly understand the best Chaldean food. You have to order dolma (grape leaves) a day ahead and it only comes in one giant size. It's the authentic Chaldean style with minced beef cubes in the filling - not the loose ground beef that you find at so many Mediterranean restaurants which is no match for this style. The Burek (like a meat egg roll) is outstanding as well and perfectly flavored and fried. Same with the Potato Chop (meat filled too but softer potato fried shell) which was also amazing. You can also buy these two items frozen and fry them up whenever you want. This is more of a carry out restaurant and I promise you will not find anything better. It's toe to toe with homemade. There are no places like this anymore!

Yelp
Tried their tabouli. So awesome that they pack the dressing for the first tabouli in a separate container inside. Helps it to keep a bit longer. I took a small portion of the parsley and add a bit of dressing and the dressing is fresh and lemon and a nice balance of flavors. I think it's fantastic beyond words that they pack the dressing separately. All places should do the same.

Yelp
Really awesome food. 5* well deserved. Geared towards take out. Apple map has a hard time finding it. Google will do the trick

Gaby F.

Yelp
The food is delicious! Never disappoints, and the sizes are huge! Each tray will feed double the amount it claims to, with amazing middle eastern food. Highly recommend!

Serena H.

Yelp
Kubba House is one of the best Middle eastern Food in the area. They have the best appetizers all made from scratch and always Fresh because they are always busy . Portions are great. I have tried most of their dishes and all are soo good. Staff are always Friendly

Yelp
I had the fattoush with chicken shawarma. It was delicious. Dressing on point and I had the garlic sauce on the side which was on point as well. A+

M S.

Yelp
Ordered chicken and kafta kebab off their catering menu. The kebabs were good quality and for $2 a skewer, the value was really good too. What made our meal great was that Kubbahouse gave us a complimentary side of raw veggies (onions, tomatoes, pickles, cucumbers, and pickled cabbage) and pita bread. The prep time was quick (took them 20 minutes to prepare 10 skewers). They also sell a lot of their products frozen, which was interesting to see. I will definitely be visiting again. quick note: restaurant shared that their meats are halal.

Yelp
I just realized that I've never left a review for this restaurant before! This is THE BEST place for Arabic food! I've been coming here for years. The combos platters are where it's at!! Soooo much food and sooo unbelievably good! I had several Arabic friends recommended this place but didn't try it because I preferred to go to a sit down restaurant. Then one day I was at a friends when they ordered in from here. Soo good! Just like eating at my friends moms house!!! We love this place and usually order the combo platter for 5. The platters are huge! Don't miss out on this place, it's soo good!

David S.

Yelp
Great Arabic food! Tastes like home cooking! High quality food at a great price. I highly recommend this restaurant for your Middle Eastern fix!

Mina H.

Yelp
The best iraqi food !!!!! I ordered kubba hamud and dolmas and they were amazing. Brought back memories of my aunt when she would make them !! Even my 4 year old enjoyed them. Thank u for an excellent dinner last night.

Yelp
Hands down THE best middle eastern food in metro Detroit. I'm a fanatic about the cuisine and and since moving to the area 5 years ago, I don't know of any places I haven't tried. A couple places in Dearborn are good too, but absolutely nobody comes close. Texture, seasoning, everything.

Monica R.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean in commerce. Always clean always honest great prices. Love getting carryout from this place I know it's always going to be healthy and amazing. Fettoush and chicken!

Stacy M.

Yelp
The food is amazing! I dive from Rochester hills to this location! Great food and amazing people! Thank you guys for always being so great to us :)

Rozalina B.

Yelp
They have this amazing platter that contains leg of lamb with kouzi rice (fragrant basmati rice with toasted almonds and raisins yum) and couscous and it so so delicious, as is all the other food we have tried from here. Hummus is very thick and creamy, baba is perfect and garlic sauce is very tangy and garlicky :p If you cater from Kubba your guests will be VERY happy.

William G.

Yelp
Exceptional. We are visiting from St. Louis. Read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We got the dinner for three for me and my two teenage sons. It proved to be too much even for my growing boys! We have been to the Middle East and my sons liked this better.

Stacy E.

Yelp
Great shawarma and fabulous hummus. Theyust do a lot of catering. Lots of yummy looking and sounding foods. iTools to be more Iraqi type food then any other type of Mediterranean. Looking forward to trying much more!

Joe B.

Yelp
We ordered hummus, fatoush salad and falafel tonight. The hummus was out of this world. The fatoush salad and falafel were great too! The tahini sauce was on point. Will definitely go back.

M S.

Yelp
I've never ordered something I don't love, everything is SOO good. Their food is always fresh and high quality and the portions are huge! Definitely recommend!

Francis K.

Yelp
Excellent food, tastes homemade, always clean and fresh which is hard to find these days. You can tell they put a lot of care and pride into the food just from the little extra things they do. Plus they're always friendly and accommodating, they act as if they genuinely appreciate your patronage while a lot of places simply treat you as a nuisance.

Ganj B.

Yelp
What a nice place to pick up some authentic Iraqi food. You can find it all here: dolma, all types of Kubba, shawarma, etc; just call in advance or you'll have to wait a little. The staff is pleasant and take the time to answer questions. Make sure you try the kubbat Mosul (it comes in ground beef, or ground beef with almonds and raisins).

Rachel L.

Yelp
The best chicken schwarma ever hands down I ate schwarma at another place and it only made me want to come here and buy another... So I did.

Ardis S.

Yelp
This is the best carry out restaurant for a family meal I have found in town. The food is always made to order, fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and eager to please. We order at least weekly. Order a few days ahead for catering large events with dolmas and lamb for large parties. I highly recommend this carry out restaurant. Check out the freezer where you can actually buy ready made Kibbie!

Rachael N Adam K.

Yelp
Amazing food, we eat here all the time, call in our order and the remember us every time! Haven't had anything yet that wasn't really tasty!

Vince A.

Yelp
Something is wrong with these 5 star reviews because the food is terrible. Ordered $200 of various items and everything was below average. Man I wish there was a decent middle eastern restaurant in our area...

Marlin A.

Yelp
This is a great place to eat middle eastern food. I've been here many times and will be back. Friendly people. Good princes. Thanks guys.

Revel F.

Yelp
The beef and chicken shawarmas here are full of flavor! I also love the cream chop with rice as well as their fatoosh drenched with dressing. Order a big family tray with everything and you won't be disappointed.

Tony S.

Yelp
Iraqi salad, Khafta, Dolma.. Awesome tasty ethnic cuisine. A must try for middle eastern cuisines. Friendly people fast service. Limited seating for dine in though, mostly carry out style.

F L.

Yelp
I order the combination trays on a weekly basis. It is consistently good and the closest thing to a home cooked meal. Their hammath kibbee from the freezer is also excellent. Great restaurant and very nice owners.

Leah S.

Yelp
What a wonderful place. The people who work here go above and beyond to make sure you get what you want and need. Such kind people it would make me come back even if the food was bad but it too is phenomenal!! The chicken kebab sandwich is AMAZING and the garlic sauce is to die for. So happy to live near this place!!!

Bill O.

Yelp
I love this place. Food is always excellent and staff is friendly. They give you plenty of food and the combo plates are the best way to try a little bit of everything.

Milana G.

Yelp
Seriously my favorite shawarma wrap in the area. I'm a little bit of a garlic snob and it's amazing here and the wrap is big enough to be a full meal on its own!

Dany K.

Yelp
No frills take away Chaldean restaurant that simply provides great food. I've known about this place for a long time, and am in the region often. Why it took me so long to try this is my own mistake. Only complaint is that they could be less guarded and more generous with the garlic sauce. There's no way to eat kufta or kabob without it. But otherwise, you can't go wrong with anything here. Enjoy!
