I love this store! It’s an upscale destination with a superb selection of gift and house items. - Exclusive Brands: The only store in Houston that carries DS&Durga fragrances, and they also stock Vilhelm Parfumerie. - Spacious Layout: The store is fairly large, providing a comfortable shopping experience. - Unique Selection: Offers a distinctive range of products that you won’t find elsewhere. - Gift Services: They provide gift wrap services, making it an excellent place to pick up gifts. - Parking: storefront free parking - service: overall my experience with staff was pleasant However, my only complaint is that you can find better deals by purchasing directly from the brands, as the store does not accept any discount codes for some of the lines they carry.

I love this place; they house a lot of my favorite brands and I have found so many niche brands shopping with the staff and browsing on my own. Most of my home, housewares have been furnished from here and inspired. Gifts for friends, family and babies to fragrance and furniture and whatever fills in between. It was also nice to chat with the designer/ owner(the lady)on a visit during the expansion last year. I especially appreciate Katy she has always been warm and kind consistently… so as long as she is here I will look for her.

I used to enjoy coming here to buy gifts and treats for my kids. They carry a lot of brands that I like and their gift wrapping service is lovely. But when I needed to get the attention of a sales associate to ask a question, I was blatantly ignored. The sales associate literally made eye contact with me, then turned around and walked away as I was approaching her. My son and I were then looking at the children’s books and a different sales associate came over and loudly told him “keep your hands to yourself, this isn’t a library”. My son wasn’t touching the books at all, so I have no idea why she felt she had to say this to him in such a harsh manner. There was another family with two small children nearby who were also looking at the books, and she smiled at them as she walked by and said to let her know if they needed help. Unsurprisingly, my child picked up on this inequality and felt unwelcome in the store and asked to leave immediately. I really hope we weren’t treated this way because of our race, but based on all the other reviews of people who experienced similar discrimination, it’s hard to draw any other conclusion. With so many people experiencing this, I can only assume the owners not only condone but probably encourage this type of behavior.

I really loved this store until today when I went trying to just have a look and buy myself something cute after a long day. The owner was taking pictures of me and my friend pretending he was taking pictures of the set up and then seconds later walked up asking us about our jobs. He then asked if we needed a basket because “you might have had a lot to carry and put things in your pocket” and walked us to the register. Getting racially profiled in Houston is crazy work. Sadly I was not white enough to avoid this interaction.

To reply to the suspected theft about a month ago, I was there and saw the associate who locked eyes with the friend who put something small in her pocket. Then I noticed her acting strange as well. We notified the owner as they were closing for the night and he asked them if they needed a basket to carry their purchases. Not what was in their pocket, NOR took a photo of them. That story was a fabrication and I am sure they are happy not to have you and your poor choice in friends come back to the store. The owners are the most salt of the earth people you will ever meet, the associate was a woman of color and I can bear witness that there was no profiling what so ever.

Google
Very rude staff and no customer service AT ALL. This place is filled with depressing staff. Do not support this place, because they will not care about you. It a shame because it is a cool store.

Google
Drove 90 miles today to exchange a shirt that I received for Christmas. Manager stated that I was 4 days past the point of return. No exceptions made even though this was my first opportunity to drive to Houston after being on surgery call for the last two weeks. I understand return policies. I also appreciate some consideration and flexibility. Was not looking for a refund. I was going to spend more than shirt was worth. Based on principle alone, would never return here again.

This store has so many unique things that I cannot find anywhere else! I love to look at and buy stuff that aren’t always mass produced and this place has so much of that in every department you can think of. They have specialty item clothes, plates, dinner sets, toys… all unique! It’s set up so that each department is in a different building, but you walk there, but they’re all connected together. It’s really cool, you gotta see it to know what I mean. Anyway, totally worth checking out. If you’re looking for a gift that’s different and special, I would get it from this place.

Yelp
A good store to explore and you could end up wasting an entire day here! The basically have everything you would ever need for your home decor and everything in between. A lot of things could be found for cheaper elsewhere so make sure you check pricing if that is a concern for you. There are plenty of staff to guide you through the store or help you find your exit when you'll inevitably get lost !

Yelp
Top 5 store in Houston hands down. They have EVERYTHING. Gift wrap is free. Selection is wonderful.

Yelp
We often shop here for the holidays. It's fun to browse the aisles and you can find something for everyone! Parking: They have a massive parking lot around the main building, as well as parking around the other buildings as well (since the shop covers several buildings and a pretty big area). They also have valet. Selection: Being such a large store, there's a ton of selection. You can spend HOURS shopping here. I rarely make it past the main building since the other parts have mostly furniture, linens, dishware, and such, but one day I do plan to explore all of them! The selection in the main building includes menswear, womenswear, kids, travel, stationary, games, makeup, kitchen appliances, books, pets, and holiday items. When you first enter, the displays there revolve depending on the season. Though a huge selection is great for finding a lot of things, it can also be overwhelming. I also find that they sometimes only have one of an item I'm buying or run out of items. Prices: The prices here are high, but what you would expect for the brands they carry. Service: The service can be hit-or-miss. In my experience you are rarely greeted or checked in on while shopping, which isn't a bad thing (as someone who likes to be left alone while contemplating my purchases I'm all for this!). However it does become an issue when you need help with something. There are also small service related moments that, while not horrible, can be frustrating. Most noteworthy is when you're trying to check out, the lines are more of a mob of people since the way to line up isn't clear (especially at the main central checkout). So you may get skipped or cut and the cashiers don't really handle this. Another issue for me recently was that I opted to get some Christmas gifts gift wrapped in store when the cashier let me know that was an option. Several things went wrong when I tried to pick them up though - First there was again no clear line and I accidentally skipped a lady that was waiting for a while. Then they could not find my items - a quick stop in to pick them up turned quite long because of this. Finally, they were wrapped (though quite well) in plain paper and Kuhl-Linscomb branding. While the branding was fine, the reason I opted for this option was for holiday paper (they were toys for a 2 year old for Christmas). This should have been made clear at the start, because I didn't have time to re-wrap them afterwards. Ultimately it wasn't a big deal, but frustrating to lose so much time to something that I won't be choosing to do again. Overall though I definitely recommend coming here and shopping around!

Yelp
This is a lovely store. Anything you purchase here will not disappoint. The selection is good, classy and stylish; great value. Service was adequate and not overbearing.

Yelp
I really love the products in the store. Such a wide variety and very unique things. However, the service leaves so much to be desired. I have purchased furniture here, candles, diffusers, clothing, shoes, menswear, etc. every single experience has been met with such an underwhelming level of service. The sales associates seem almost perturbed at the fact that I am in their store. So perplexing!

Yelp
It's the best and biggest lifestyle department store in H town! There is usually ample parking or valet during their sales events and it's spread out over several intimate houses. I only explore a few sections per shopping excursion - it may be overwhelming to visit the whole store in one day. They have just the widest selections of gifts with many price points. Their aromatherapy section is amazing and I love the Santa Maria Novella collection there. Bought two perfumes there today! They have a lot of Voluspa candles and diffusers, too. They also have the loveliest area of French Barrettes to choose, from lovely and pretty to blingey and louder. Good selection of puzzles for the difficult to buy present person - I was able to get two cool Liberty London puzzles today. I've been spending more time in their housewares area -just large assortment and I like their collection of Portuguese dinnerware. I like the Costa Bravo line. I Just discovered the Jaliska brand of Camelia and now have a lovely tray and two hand painted mugs to enjoy. The staff are available and generally helpful if you ask. It's nice that they let you explore without intrusion. I didnt notice the different trays until the male salesperson brought a few he thought I would like. This is definitely a store that is easy to buy a gift for them and then a gift for you and repeat and repeat! Highly recommended for all your gifting and self retail therapy needs! Plus, did I mention there is free gift wrapping???

Yelp
I love this place it's about four stores in the immediate area of each other selling just about anything and everything you think you might need or might not need particularly there for the fragrances. They have lots of fragrances and candles and oils that are amazing. It may be a little bit on the expensive side but I think that you're getting good value and good quality for what you're paying for.

Yelp
Go-to for gift shopping. Reliable staples and year round seasonal variety. Beautiful selection of china and dining ware.

Yelp
The only reason this is not a one star review is because Pam was very kind and patient with us as we were trying to make our registry even though she doesn't typically meet with couples to complete a registry. We made an appointment weeks ago to come into Kuhl Linscomb and create our wedding registry. We would have come in sooner but they were completely booked. Upon arrival they told me that I actually had an appointment the following weekend. I had to pull out proof of confirmation that we did have an appointment that day. Turns out Kristen double booked herself. The first 10 minutes were extremely flustered and it was clear by not being flexible that we were inconveniencing the staff at the store. I could have chalked it up to an honest mistake but with how unprofessionally this was handled I just had to write a review. After our appointment was complete Kristen had the audacity to email us with a fake apology where she told me that she booked me for the 18th but "accidentally" typed the 11th in the confirmation email when I had directly requested an appointment on the 11th. The mishap was poorly handled and soured what was supposed to be a fun and exciting day. After a half-assed apology and making us feel bad for inconveniencing the staff I would have expected them to go above and beyond to make things right - especially given the price point of the items sold in the store.

Yelp
This was a cool little store to explore. It's broken up into many sections. They have home goods, candles, food items, stationary, dishes, you name it. I was very pleased to be able to smell some of the candles and perfumes I've had on my wishlist for awhile. They do bridal registries and have so many amazing items to choose from. Definitely a must see store.

Yelp
This is a very high end store that sells everything from underwear to furniture. I love coming here. So many unique, but overpriced, items.

Yelp
This is a wonderful shop to go to if you need to pick up a unique gift for someone special. I love the different varieties of cosmetics and fragrances, and candles, clothing. They just added a whole new beddings and bath section. Be prepared to spend a pretty good chunk of money at this store. So much to see, I spend 3 hours at the store just briefly going through most of everything. I absolutely love this expensive place.

Viola L.

Yelp
Great selection of gifts, toys and home items. Candles, baby gifts, house warming, whatever you might need. No place like this in Houston.
google avatar

Sidra K.

Yelp
The owner needs to step up and teach the staff about common human decency and how to NOT BE RACIST TO CUSTOMERS. The staff pick and choose who to help based on the color of their skin and who they perceive to be low income. The treatment we received at this store over multiple visits was just disheartening and shameful. The female white employees were blatantly making disgusted faces towards us, did not offer assistance, and went out of their way to be extremely rude. We will not ever be visiting this store again and would caution any POC against purchasing from here.

Joe D.

Yelp
Best shopping on the planet! A must in Houston. A banquet for the senses. Helpful friendly staff and free gift wrapping! It'll take about 2 hours to take in all they have to offer. You'll be be back trust me.

Yelp
I was in the store for the first time yesterday at around 3pm. Was absolutely astonished by the variety and quality of the merchandise in the store. Saw a jewelry case and purchased some 14k Smokey quartz earrings for my mother in law and had them gift wrapped. Went to the gift wrap counter where there was a line of three people. I was next in line for the cashier with two or three people behind me. Austin comes up to the counter starts working on the register. Two older ladies (one in a wheelchair) got in line and I let them go in front of me. Shortly after another older lady with several articles of clothing just walked up to the counter and Austin turned to me and asked what I needed help with and I told him I was picking up a gift wrap. Austin stated "I'm going to ring up this lady first then I'll help you." Even though she wasn't in line and Austin wasn't helping her prior. I get to the counter and a young blond lady asked me for receipt and I asked why she asked for my receipt and not the gentleman in front of me I also asked why was I being treated differently than the previous customers? At that time Austin finished ringing up the lady with the clothes and jumped in and said he apologized said his name and put his hand out and said "Hi I'm Austin pleasure to meet you" and reached out to shake my hand. I declined asking why was I treated like that since it's quicker to just grab my thing and give me my purchase than ringing up the lady with all the clothes and why I was being asked for a receipt and not being asked my last name just to get my purchase like the previous customers in front of me? He said it's our policy to ask for a receipt every time to pick up. Right when he said that a younger blond male asked a customer for his last name and gave him his gift wrapped purchase WITHOUT asking for a receipt. I then asked Austin to speak to a manager and he stated he was the ONLY manager on duty. I asked him for the website for the company. He then stated "I'm hesitant to give you any contact info for the store" so I said fine I'll just call tomorrow and ask for a manager. He said you'd speak to me I then asked so there are literally no other managers and you're the end of the management chain. He said "yes." I said forget it. That his customer service was absolutely disgusting and took my purchase and started walking out of the store. I went to the sales woman at the jewelry counter and complimented her on her customer service and told her that the service I just received from Austin was disgusting and at that time a Hispanic male came up and told me that he was a manager and was asked to speak to me. I said really? You're another manager? Because Austin just told me that he was the ONLY manager on duty. So either you're lying or he lied to me. Either way that the customer service from him was atrocious. Absolutely not the way that you should treat any person.

Yelp
I have always been told how awesome this store was. I needed a gift for a lady friend, so I thought I would brave the maze, picture below. They so much, a bit overwhelming actually. I can't get over how ride the stag is. I was dressed in athletic clothes, so maybe they figured I couldn't afford this place. Was almost run over twice by employees. I'll 5'11", 230lbs, so I'm hard to miss. If it hadn't been for the really nice sales lady and the awesome cashier, this place was dead to me and getting one star.

Samantha W.

Yelp
The store workers and mangaers are really disorganized and incompetent. i would go to a better store as its really disheavled inside and unorganized.

NEILAND S.

Yelp
I must say most of the employees here are sweet and professional as well as helpful. It, unfortunately, only takes a couple of bad apples to ruin the whole barrel!! For instance: polite elder customer-"excuse me can you tell me where your waste baskets are located?" Rude bad gray hair day sour faced employee (woman in gray)- "wastebasket how" ---complete with dismissive look in her eye! She said something to the effect-"you'll have to walk around and look".. Same woman allowed us to enter an apparent short cut to another area of the store after we asked if the door was open.... It was not! She probably is the former employee of an animal research lab! She was also standing around gossiping with another employee.... Surely the labor market isn't such as to warrant keeping a person like this one on the payroll!

Joe S.

Yelp
it's hard to actually buy anything here since there are only customer service reps handholding people doing bridal registries or customers who are on journeys of personal discovery. Want to just buy something? You are out of luck. Be prepared to stand behind the above while they are helped through their personal journeys while you stand there, intended purchase clutched in hand waiting. And waiting. And waiting. This place desperately needs check out counters independent of gift registry helpers. I wasted 30 minutes wandering from counter to counter until my protest yielded an employee who only begrudgingly and rudely sold me 4 table mats and 2 soap dishes I had in hand. A total joke. The other thing. Tons of the stuff they sell / curate is Alibaba trinket caliber material with a 2X to 3X price. I saw an incredible amount of ridiculously cheap stuff at exorbitant prices mixed in with items of genuine quality. I expect the frequently tech illiterate geriatric crowd that jams this place isn't informed enough to know the difference, but seriously?

Yelp
Great gifts lovely service! Best luxury brand selections including jewelry, candles, home items and kids stuff. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Oh and free gift wrapping! :)

Yelp
DO NOT SHOP HERE!! My girlfriend went in to buy me a Christmas present and called me because was so upset, mad, and embarrassed. She was not offered any help or assistance mind you she's never shopped here she just saw that there was a chance they would have what she was looking for so she decided to come in. She asked an older woman for help and she was kind and tried to help but wasn't much. She still couldn't find the item she was looking for so she decided to ask a woman by the registers. When she asked the woman looked at her as if she was stupid and was rude and offered her no help or assistance instead she treated her as if she wasn't a priority. Regardless if they don't have the item they could've offered her some help or tried to help her find the item instead they just shooed her away. Mind you my girlfriend was the only brown girl in the whole store. I work in customer service and regardless of how a customer looks you treat them with kindness and respect my girlfriend is the sweetest person she was just trying to buy a gift and they treated her like CRAP. I hope they can right their wrongs but till then I will continue to tell people not to shop here.

Hiba K.

Yelp
Wish i could give 0 stars. I've gone to this store several times and every single time i've been treated horribly by the salespeople. They constantly make faces at me and don't ever try to help me. If you are a person of color, don't bother coming here. you will not be treated well
google avatar

Naomi Y.

Yelp
The store itself is very nice and well laid out with a great variety of everything you need: perfume, candles, jewelry, bedding, flowers etc. I am always good for at least an hour because that's how long it takes to look at everything. There are some items that are less expensive online but I want to support local businesses. While I can almost guarantee a visual delight every visit, my experience with customer service is always a mixed bag. I'm not the type who wants sales greeting or small talk. I am okay with browsing silently and taking it all in. But when I do need help and ask for it, Kuhls-Linscomb doesn't always give it. Depending on what department I am in, they can be nice and at least answer my question or ask me to wait and never return. I've been ignored for other customers even though I am clearly waiting for that salesperson or in line. My husband always ask why I shop there. Sometimes I wonder that too.

Yelp
This is the place I've been looking for since my move to HTx! It is the gift giving Mecca-everything you could possibly think of and much you didn't. Need a unique gift? This is the place. Wait...it is ONE place, but several buildings of it. I could spend days here...days!

Yelp
I really appreciate the fact that the wares offered here can compete with higher-end retailers. There is no need to drive to the Galleria or Highland Village with KL nearby, and like those retailers, prices are full retail. I also was greeted sweetly by one man in the christmas-decor area recently. These are the positives. The problem is, they don't even come close to the bar that they set for expected service; they're aloof and bored, a damaging combo. They never say 'hello' or even "WTF are you looking for?". I have a lot of good friends that are in high-end local business, actually owners of art galleries and book stores, to name two. They would be mortified if anyone at their stores treated customers this way. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't shop at KL, either. Many of us appreciate a hands-off experience, but a greeting is not considered pushy. Research shows that greeting people actually reduces theft, as well. There's no need to glare at people or write 15 policies on the receipt as to why you must not try to make a return or exchange. The camaraderie among workers is clear, as they yuk around 90% of the time. This was noted in the beauty area, where the two folks working there were discussing people that "don't belong in their department". Apparently people leave it in disarray; I almost opted to leave my leftover cinnabon as a love gift, but decided that would be wasteful. Someone here on yelp also noted: there are "stockers" or internal employees who are working to help clean up and stock the areas, and they will literally step in front of shoppers to get to their task. Can confirm. My 2 stars are for good stock, one nice employee, and the convenient location.

Yelp
This is an amazing store. I love going there for all of my gift needs and when I want to buy something fun for myself. Also, they have a card for every occasion and beautiful stationary. I tend to spend most of my time in building 1, which contains items for children, jewelry, candles, toiletries, cosmetics, cookbooks, I could go on! There is literally the best candle selection ever in any price range. Best of all, they offer beautiful gift wrap for free and it usually is very fast. They also offer make up applications and samples of a lot of the products so you can make sure they work before buying. The other buildings contain amazing furnishings, home décor, rugs, linens. It's just a fabulous store that I love introducing new Houstonians to. The associates are very helpful, but never make you feel stalked or like you have to buy something. Sometimes they have events and fun book signings as well.

Yelp
First of all, I used to live in one of the buildings they now use as a shop, so this place is very special. When I become rich and famous (hold your breath) they will make this place a museum! I'm completely amazed at the wonderful things that now fill the space where I learned to ride my bike (linens and napkins), where my first cat had kittens (place settings), where we used to put our holiday tree (platters), and where I used to play with my toys and dream (napkin rings and table runners). There are numerous buildings, each with their own set of things. You can find just about everything for every room in your home, from the bath, to the garden, from the living to the dining room. I loved getting to chat with Pam, the owner. She loved hearing my stories of growing up on Steel St. Lot's of really nice things, great place to register for a wedding.

Yelp
Another bad experience at Kuhl Linscomb ( how does this store stay in business?! ) I bought a pretty expensive tank top here but when I got ready to wear it, it had a small hole on the back that I hadn't noticed before. I took it back, all tags attached - nope, no cash refund, only store credit. On an item that was sold damaged! Ridiculous policy. Everyone, make sure you inspect carefully whatever you get from here. If it turns out to be defective or damaged, you won't get your money back. Or better yet, go someplace that values its customers more.

Yelp
I love that the store has lots of options . A bit all over the place for me . It could use some reorganization! They sell almost anything ! Clothes to dinnerware and many more . Going back for some house candles

Yelp
A favorite spot to shop when back in Htown. Always can find a unique gift, or item to list over. One of the few unique independent shops left!

Yelp
Idk why the negative reviews. For a first time visitor, I was pretty lost walking in and find my bearings. We were approached as we were walking in with a quick summary of the layout so we just explored on our own for a bit. An employee approached me and asked if I needed any help or if I was finding everything ok and that's when I asked for a map. Was fun browsing and seeing that this is a perfect spot to bring guests from out of town for some casual shopping. From candles, perfume, bar ware, clothing, jewellery, stationary, furniture and honestly anything you could think of- something for everyone. Typical boutique price points, as expected. I will be returning for some cute hoop earrings. :)

Yelp
Sooo much to see! Lots of great, unique, and fun finds! I could stay in there for hours and hours!

Yelp
I was way too busy shopping and perusing to take pics. I was in awe & impressed on the remodel and expansion since my last visit!!!! Wowwwwwsie n I likey!!! I love the attention to detail and all the cool, beautiful and unique items you carry... from hostess gifts, jewelry, baby and children gifts and items, clothing, culinary gadgets and books, perfumes, cards, amazing candles, place settings, home decor, greenery, furniture ... the list goes on, and on, and on.... and on... and there's something for everyone. If you're in the area - stop in for a lookey-loo and and I'm guessing there's a high probability you might walk out with a lil' somethin' somethin'!!

Yelp
This place is massive. Literally. This place is like the hipster version of Ikea. Not AS big as Ikea but less furniture and more cool shit. You can seriously get lost and probably can't remember if you saw a certain section or not, yet it doesn't matter cause the stuff you look at is freakin cool. It's just a bunch of cool shit. Like, I would buy it. I spent about 2 hours and that doesn't even cover EVERYTHING. There's just so much to look at. This is every hipster kid's dream. It's freakin hipster land. I love it. Oh yeah, even interior designer's would love this place. Or any decorator's spot. There's not one but 3 buildings outside of the massive they have. I walked through all of it but it's just not enough. I seriously could spend all day here. Oh and isles or walkways don't have room for a cart. There's just too much cool shit to be having carts rolling up in this store. This is also a good place to go a gift registry, for all you future wedding and baby making people.

Yelp
I love so much about this store but the employees are not very kind or welcoming. I've been coming here for 3 years for gifts or to grab a cute item for my home and have always loved the selection. Over the last year I've noticed a decline in the staff. Many of them just seem snobby. Hoping this post helps them improve, its a great store with lots of wonderful items. However, I'd like to feel invited and welcomed as I buy the overpriced gift that will be so perfectly gift wrapped. Just sayin..

Yelp
This place is insane! I came here with my Dad and I had no idea what to expect. It was around Christmas and surprisingly it wasn't packed. This gift shop has EVERYTHING you could possibly want. It's kind of like an artsy gift colony of treasures and obscure bric a brac. If you have an obsession with hipster items or have someone kind of difficult to shop for, this is definitely the place for you! They even have an area specifically for furniture and home items, underthings, clothes, toys, you name it. They also were walking around with mini margaritas for free which were heavenly. The prices are a bit steep, but really worth it, at least stop in for a few moments, you wont be able to leave!

Yelp
Use to be my favorite store, now I don't like to go because of the rude salespeople. Customer service here has really gone down.

Yelp
Great concept and products but terribly rude staff!!! I would love to purchase from here but i refuse because of their attitude. I once was looking at the tag on a table for its dimensions and was greeted with "uhmm that's like $4500." Never once was I greeted from anyone in the store before this. I told them I was looking for dimensions and they said "you'll have to measure." I felt like Julia Roberts on Pretty Woman. Two stars for the products and variety. Although there are much better places in Houston to spend your money.

Yelp
Kuhl Linscomb has always been a go-to for all occasions. The reason for my recent visit was to find a gift for the mother of a bride. I must have looked overwhelmed, because a nice salesperson approached me for assistance. I shared my needs with Leslie and she was able to direct me to the most exquisite little Rosethal porcelain vase that was perfect. My whole shopping experience was exceptional. Thank you Leslie!

Yelp
I can't believe I've lived in Houston for 3 years and have JUST finally discovered this place which is less than 2 miles from where I live...shame on me!! I came here looking for a housewarming gift and discovered an amazing store! I drive by this place every other day and I only thought it was a home furnishing store...it is waaay more than that! First of all, there are multiple buildings, parking lots, and entrances. Upon walking in, there's a map of the store you can take so you don't get lost- once I saw this, I realized I was in for a real treat. At this visit I stuck to the building facing West Alabama + the Tabletop building behind it which included the following: - Women's & Men's Shop: clothes, scarves, shoes, jewelry, bags, sunglasses, accessories...and more.. - Baby + Children: toys for all ages, children's clothing, bibs, coloring books, games, decor.. - Travel Section: luggage tags, passport holders, locks, luggage weight scales, maps of multiple cities, books, pictures....if you're traveling abroad, you will find any of your travel accessories here - Pet Section: dog collars/leashes, bowls, toys, dog beds, pet calendars, books, dog magnets, cat bow ties, cat leashes and pillows, cat toys... - Tabletop building: cooking utensils, gorgeous (and expensive) place settings, fine china, silverware, cutlery, napkin holders, vases, etc....this building includes a Gift Registry as well They even have two of my favorite home decor designers here (Michael Aram and Nambé)! Walking around, I wanted to throw everything out of my house and upgrade to all the fabulous items I saw. Unfortunately, I am only a middle class citizen and found this place fairly pricey. However, a girl can always dream..... This is definitely a great place to visit if you are looking for a unique, special gift. I will definitely be back here and hope to next time visit the other buildings. Oh and P.S.- they have free gift wrapping with purchase! Don't forget to ask!

Yelp
I LOVE THIS STORE!!! The main building is the BEST place in all of Houston to go and shop for gifts no matter what the occasion is. This place is located right smack in the middle of River Oaks, so some items are WAY overpriced and ridiculous expensive (just part of the neighborhood) and that is the reason for me removing a star, but there are definitely things that are affordable and make great gifts!

Yelp
No one is taking COVID seriously. I feel I was given poor service because my mask. The lady kept getting irritated at me when I would back away because she was maskless.

Yelp
I just left this store. I would love to be posting a positive review right now! I was trying to return two items. I was informed that I could only receive store credit since it had been greater than 7 days. My fault for not reading the receipt. I asked if an exception could be made. The cashier offered to get the department manager for me. The manager came over and I made my request. He was going into a lengthy explanation, I said sorry and asked for a yes or no answer please. He said no, store credit only. I said ok. He continued to try to explain the situation/policy. I repeatedly informed him that I was ok and did not need an explanation (I was already aware that I had made a mistake not returning within the 7 days and would only receive store credit). He shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't care I'm going to give it to you anyway" (His explanation). He was combative and rude to say the least. I told him I was going to post this online in an effort to try to stop him from continuing his explanation. It was horribly embarrassing standing there captive at the register. He again shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and said "I don't care my name is Sam, I am the manager of the department". He finally stopped and allowed the cashier to complete my transaction. It was a horrible experience. I told Sam I would never visit the store again. If anyone from Kuhl-Linscomb would care to speak with me about my experience I would be more than happy to talk. I already apologized to the cashier, but I apologize again for her being put in that situation by Sam.

Yelp
Great selection and beautifully decorated but just way too much stuff crammed in their shop. I was feeling a little like a claustrophobic tightrope walker in places. It's like a really cluttered but amazing antique shop with no real logic to how things are arranged. It would be so much better to give these products a little breathing room and some clear signage to guide customers around. I didn't really feel a map would help as that just added to my feeling overstimulated. A cool experience but I left feeling overwhelmed by the place. And no customer service--no greeting, no offers to help--but I didn't mind.

Yelp
I have lived in Houston for years and finally got around to visiting this store. So much in one location (more or less)! My disappointment was that I purchased an item and when it was rung up by the cashier, the price of the item was higher than what was on the sales tag. I brought this discrepancy up, but the cashier said the system showed the item had the price that rang up rather than the price on the tag. I didn't want to make a big deal as there were people behind me in line; and it was just a few dollars. But I can say, I won't go back as this is just an unacceptable practice.

Yelp
While I love the main store, the staff in the side buildings (1+2) are terrible and RUDE. Every person we asked for assistance promptly shook us off, suggesting I look at the sale section. I came in to buy designer sheets, coverlets, and duvets for a TWELVE BEDROOM HOME and after the treatment I received in the first 10 minutes, I will be taking my business elsewhere. To the staff of Kuhl-Linscomb, shape up. You're making a wonderful store lose business.

Yelp
I love, love, love the shop. If you're looking for a gift for anyone - and I mean anyone - you can find some sort of high quality trinket there. Forty dollar candles, clothing, wall decor, kitchen gadgets - you'll find it. And it's not your typical gift shop crap; they carry an assortment of unique items you'll actually want to keep for yourself.

Yelp
What a great place! I am new to the area and after searching for retailers of a skincare line I like AND getting the store to also pop up when I searched for stationary I knew I had to check this place out. It's like shopping at Nordstrom if it was a boutique. I am blanking in his name, but the guy in the beauty section was an absolute joy.
