The hotel is located in the old town of Ulcinj, right at the edge of the castle. The view is absolutely breathtaking! Waking up to the Adriatic Sea right outside your window is an unforgettable experience. Just a heads-up: to reach the hotel, you’ll need to climb a 100-150 meter uphill path with stairs. It’s not ideal for people with mobility issues or wheelchair users. We stayed on the upper floor. The room was clean, well-organized, and had everything we needed: a small fridge, kettle, TV, nightstands, and a wardrobe. The bathroom was sufficient, but there was no hair dryer - I think that’s something they could add. The terrace had a table, chairs, and a comfy swinging chair where you can relax and enjoy the view. Wi-Fi worked well in the room, but the signal was weak on the terrace. In the restaurant area, there was no signal at all. So if you plan to work remotely or spend time on your laptop, that’s something to keep in mind. Breakfast was tasty and varied. For dinner, I tried the pizza at the hotel’s restaurant, but I wasn’t too impressed. The menu also includes soup, salad, risotto, meat, and fish options. On average, dinner costs around €15 per person. Drinks - whether hot, cold, or alcoholic - range from €5 to €10 depending on your choice. The hotel is run by an Albanian couple who are genuinely sweet and warm-hearted. The staff were also friendly and helpful. You can communicate easily in English, Albanian, French, Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian. Rooms are cleaned daily, and fresh towels are provided. Laundry service is also available. There’s also a small restaurant located on the edge of the castle with a sea view - it’s a perfect spot to have a drink and enjoy the scenery. All in all, it was a peaceful, historic, and heartfelt experience. There are a few small things that could be improved, but overall, I was very satisfied. Big thanks to the lovely couple who run the place and greeted us with a smile every day, the friendly lady who kept our room clean, and the kind waitstaff. We truly appreciate everything! 🙏🏻♥️

The location is beautiful with a wonderful terrace in the old town castle walls. The owner and staff are very friendly and provide a high level of service. The food is fabulous ranging from pizzas fresh from the oven to the tastiest of steaks, fish, and pasta dishes. The ambience was restful and the views of the sunset and birds nesting will remain one of our fondest memories of our time in Ulcinj.

Very nice hotel. Best location in Ulcinj old town. Staff so friendly, all the time doing their best for quests. Breakfast served to the table, all fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!

This is our secont time stayin in this beautiful stone castle hotel Kulla e Balshajve and this by far my best experience i had in town of Ulqin. The moment er arrived without even having a reservation done we were approached by this beautiful woman (Florina) with amazing warming welcome and assisted us on getting settled in and with the best possible room and view. She and her staff assited were very nice and also had the breakfast included i the price which was a very good deal with amazing food. If i was to ever suggest a nice cozy and close to everything like the view, quite nights on the castel and few steps down from the beach during the day and nice walks i the afternoon and late night tight life this would be the place to choose. Again Florina and her staf is amazing.

We got water poisoning from ice in our cocktails, and we still have issues from that. They probably use ice cubes with tap water which is not for drinking in Montenegro. How do we know? Two out of 3 had food poisoning, the 3rd person didn't drink them. The waiter didn't know Monteneg. language so he was switching all the time. I assumed if you were working in a country, you should also know the language. All in all, this ruined not only my vacation, but a week after as I am still recovering, and it it still bad.

The food and the cocktails was good. The waiter was very polite, attentive, and reflected very good energy. Big up for him! 👏🏼

Great view and location, but food did not taste that well for the money that was charged. Later, I got food poisoning, from tagliatelle with shrimps. Recommend only for drinks.

Tourist scam, 20 euros for 4 coffees, old milk… I do not recommend that
