Hidden speakeasy-style restaurants and bars in Singapore to uncover - SilverKris

"A breezy, open-air courtyard bar set within the Old Police Barracks that feels like an oasis above the bustle of Chinatown, decorated with street art and offering a relaxed hangout atmosphere. Evenings bring live music or DJs and a livelier crowd; standout offerings include a spicy Sambal Bloody Mary and a partnership with a courtyard grill kitchen serving crowd-pleasers like birria-style tacos with a rich jus for dipping. The secluded, elevated location makes it a laid-back spot for groups seeking an outdoor night out." - Rachel Eva Lim

Where to check out new street art in Singapore - SilverKris

"Housed in a converted 19th-century police barracks, this creative hangout combines live music, makers’ studios and food and drink (notably a gula melaka–inspired cocktail and Argentinian barbecue) with strong street-art sensibilities. Standout features include an abstract floor installation by a local artist and a large display wall, all part of the venue’s mission to keep subcultural art and graffiti visible to the public." - Alexis Ong

Love this spot. So lucky that Kult Yard is literally in my back yard and a mere 5 mins walk away. We had their prawn and fish tacos, wings, nachos and quesadilla. Food is slightly pricey but yummy so I wouldn’t gripe about it too much. We were here on a relatively chill night but imagine that it could be quite uncomfortable if it’s warm. Only one baby chair was available so don’t come here with more than a kid lol

Nice atmosphere. It is outdoors and no air con so pray it does not rain although the tables are under sheltered tents. Live music is way too loud so if you don't like talking, this is the place for you.

lovely outdoor ambience! cocktail is great! draught beer is available but I wish they serve Warsteiner draught instead, so much more refreshing and smooth! Will suit the unique vibes too!

Shared the platter, it was okay but unfortunately we both had bad stomach bug and diarrhea 2-3 hours after the meal last night and throughout the day today. 😢 Drinks were okay.

Absolutely love it here! The food is amazing (gluten free options for me which can be hard to find in Singapore), the staff are super cool and remember your name, and the vibe is great! Shout out to Sarah who is the best host.

DIY taco platter ($69) is good for 2-3pax. 8 tortillas and lots of meat and accompaniments. Prawn was really refreshing and great! Beef and mala chicken was not too shabby. Staff were really friendly overall, and lots of drink selections. Rating is real, but doing a review gives me 2 churros, so… do with it what you will.

Visited this place on a Saturday evening with a group of friends. The place was rather difficult to get to - located on a hill. You can visit this place earlier than the reserved time slot to have a walk around the location because it’s like a multi-use space and there are many different artsy shops too. It only has outdoor seats and got quite stuffy at times despite many fans. We ordered a few drinks and the staff kept forgeting our order, but they were really friendly. We also ordered the sharing platter and 4-5 other tacos to share for 5 of us and were really full - the portion is quite big.
