Obviously, when you’re in Finland you want to go to a sauna. Skip the tourist stuff, skip the fancy drinks, views and prices. Go to an original Finnish sauna, the way a sauna should be: you undress, you shower, you sit down in the sauna room, you sweat, you pour some water on the hot coals, you sweat some more; you walk outside and you jump in the harbor to cool off. Repeat! They offer tea and cold water for drinks. And that’s all you want. The very best part of this: Friday is quiet day, no talking in the sauna! A total steal for €17 for the maximum time of an hour and a half. I recommend reservations, because there is a limited number of guests per timeslot. It’s the absolute best public sauna I’ve had in Finland! (No photos for obvious reasons)
