28 Best Christmas Markets in Europe | Condé Nast Traveler

"At the Lucia Christmas Market in the Kulturbrauerei courtyard you get a cozy Scandi-themed neighborhood vibe where locals gather for after-work glühwein; I enjoyed piping-hot flammkuchen topped with potatoes, bacon, and cheese, sampled Finnish glögi and Icelandic jolagløgg, tried raclette and mutzenmandeln fritters, and watched kids sip hot chocolate in a yurt before riding the swing carousel around wood fires." - Caitlin Morton

Google
I strongly recommend visiting the Sunday food market. It’s a great experience with amazing food stalls.

Kulturbrauerei is one of my favourite places thanks to atmosphere and buildings.

I came here to Franz club for a concert. It is an excellent venue with great staff and a very good sound system. Thank you all for a great concert.

I went to the Halloween party yesterday, and it was a complete disappointment. We arrived at 10 p.m. and still had to wait almost two hours in line to get in. The organization was an absolute mess, only two people scanning tickets, which caused total chaos at the entrance. Despite charging almost €20 for admission, they don’t include any drink at all, not even a welcome shot, and on top of that, they charge €0.50 every time you want to use the bathroom, which is completely illegal. Inside, the atmosphere was unbearable: it was extremely hot, the air conditioning didn’t seem to work, and the smoke was overwhelming, it was actually hard to breathe. The DJs were terrible in every room, there were long lines to get drinks, and the venue was clearly overcrowded, you literally couldn’t move. In short, a terrible experience. Poorly organized, uncomfortable, overpriced, and completely mismanaged. I definitely do not recommend it.

We were there for the Scandinavian Christmas market. I would recommend getting there before dark as it get crowded very quickly.

Google
Great place with many events. We visited on a Sunday. Life in the DDR exhibition is on show and is free of charge. It's very cool to see and read about life back then which was not that long ago. There is also a street food thing happening which seemed cool. Great place to hang out.

An old brewery now converted into a culture hub. Visited recently during a intentional culture event on Sunday. It had events and food stall from across the globe. Overall a nice place to enjoy and hang out. Enjoyed the food too.

Google
Great area near an old brewery which becomes a nice ethnic food market during the weekend. Lots of authentic ethnic food with friendly people, and the food isn’t very expensive, but still good quality. You can have a coffee or a beer and many different types of food. There are tables and chairs and even sun chairs if you want to hang around for a while.

Yelp
You know what it's like, one minute you're walking down the street outside your Hotel, and the next minute you are looking at a gig poster, not just any gig poster, but a poster for the German Meatal Hammer awards, which luck would have it is not only on the following night, but it is also being headlined by your favourite band ever!!!!? What, you don't know what it's like? nevermind, one day little one,one day..... So Friday morning found us at a little ticket booth in the train station buying a couple of tickets to the Kulturbrauerei and to the said gig.. I'm not going to review the gig as I don't think you would be able to handle all of the !!!! and \,,/ that it would include, but at the end of the day the 5 stars are more for Dust Bolt and Kreator than the venue itself, although the venue (KesselHaus) was a really good place to hold such a gig, what with it's concrete walls and amply stocked bar being a rather nice feature : ) We got there at around 19:30 and staggered away at about 2am,having spent a great night in the company of some lovely German Metalheads enjoying some of the best Metal this great country has to offer. Ah,happy days \,,/

Yelp
The all locations events and parties here are legendary. there are regular theme parties like Halloween, New years eve or start of summer parties. I also love the unique christmas market, and the phenomenal street food markets. If you live in the Prenzlauer Berg area, this is a location you MUST visit.

Yelp
Attended "Berlin's biggest Halloween Party in the Kulturbrauerei" on the second night. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which permitted entrance to 10 dance floors decorated with various themes, from Dark Horror to Arachnophobia to Meat Market. The parking was tight, even for arriving after 130am. There was a fair amount of broken glass in the 2 courtyards and on the dance floors, but the music selections were great and the drinks were reasonably priced. Food was also available until the early hours of the morning. I can't speak to typical nights, but this event was certainly enjoyable.

Yelp
The KulturBrauerei hosts Diskomat once a month, and, whilst it's hardly a must-visit, it's a decent place to while away an evening (well until maybe 8am!). The venue has a dance floor and a separate room with seating and a DJ; the two are connected by a smoking room, and there's more room outside on the patio. Cheap beer, fun, crowd-pleasing music. I defy anyone to not have an OK time here.

Yelp
Excellent draft beer and atmosphere. However, compared to the typical dishes I enjoyed in other places in Germany, the result was average. Definitely recommend if you are in a large group of people..we were more than twelve !

Yelp
Old brewery turned into an art space, with a cinema, concert space, and hosting a beautiful Scandinavian Christmas market in December.

Yelp
Cool-looking old brewery complex with several shops, bars, and clubs, including Soda Club. It's worth checking out if you're in the area, but probably not a "must-see" destination.

Yelp
All I can say is that the KesselHaus promotes aggressive, homophobic, hate musicians, such as Elephant Man. Most U.K. Music shops have banned this man's music. The KesselHaus actually host his live performances. When I asked the KesselHaus to comment, I was ignored.

Yelp
I was in Kesselhaus on the concert and should say - its a very nice place - inside and especially outside. Enough close to Ubahn and city cafes and so one. also you can buy something to eat directly inside the courtyard. recommended to visit just to watch architecture.
