An iconic architectural building, a vibrant facade mirroring the square, surprisingly opened to the city, despite of its function. The back facade wall is made of concrete, introverted one. Excellent quality of integration with the surrounding area. The coloured totem is brilliant and matching perfectly with all compound of the urban environment. Night lights make the spectacle more exciting for the visitors.

Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, also known as the Stockholm City Theatre, is a prominent cultural center and theatre located at Sergels Torg in the heart of Stockholm. Designed by architect Peter Celsing and inaugurated in 1974, the building itself is a landmark of modern Swedish architecture. The institution is one of the largest in Northern Europe, welcoming over two million visitors annually. It offers a wide variety of cultural experiences, including: * Theatre and dance performances * Art exhibitions * Cinema screenings * Libraries * Debates and music concerts * Activities for children and young people Since 2013, the two entities, Kulturhuset and Stadsteatern, have operated as a single organization. The main building on Sergels Torg houses multiple stages, libraries, cafes, and exhibition spaces. It is a central meeting point for people of all ages, with a focus on freedom of expression and artistic freedom. Highly recommend this cultural center if you are in Stockholm! Easily accessible by public transit. Tons to see around it and inside! The tall structure in the plaza will light up and change colors after dark. There are plenty food and drink in the building. The highlight for me was the comic book library on the 2nd floor and food court on the top floor with views!

My fave place to warming up when I visiting Stockholm during winter time. When it’s chilly outside I prefer to have me time in this building to enjoying reading at its library, seeing theater or the art exhibition when it helds, or just reading at the coffeeshop

I had the opportunity to check out the Kulturhuset cultural center while visiting Stockholm for a few days. This cultural center has a lot to do in it and there is something here for people of all ages. Some of the things it has are an art gallery,a public library and a children’s library,a place to play chess and numerous cafes and or restaurants just to name a few of the things here. We ended up mostly checking out the public library and the cafe on the top level. The cafe on the top level has a nice view of the plaza and of the fountain. It also has a patio with a panoramic view. There is nice views from all levels of the cultural center. I definitely recommend at least checking it out if if you don’t end up spending a lot of time here.
