Kumarakom Lake Resort

We had a family celebration at Kumarakom Lake Resort in end October 2025, our group size was 35. The entire experience for me was incredible and can easily count as one of the best holidays I've had. Starting from the resort and the rooms - the resort is at the banks of the backwaters and offer the most serene and peaceful environment. Most of us did not feel the need to look at our phones while there. The rooms are a mix of luxury and tradition, spacious and very comfortable. The food was amazing, Chef John and his team are absolutely brilliant. The food that we had everyday at the restaurant and the food specially curated for all the events was divine. we had planned a Sadhya lunch for all our guests, many of whom said that it was the best meal that they ever had. Lastly, the staff is par excellent, unlike anywhere else I have been. They are extremely attentive and genuinely there to make our stay and events magically. Hats off to Aneeshji from events for pulling off all our ideas, Arun from F&B for the mouth watering food, Arun from Guest services for ensuring all our guests are comfortable, Faiz, Aarti and all the staff at the restaurant. Special mention to Kavi, an all rounder, taking the most insane pics and videos. Kudos to the entire team, and thank you for making the stay so memorable and special.

We spent four nights as a family at Kumarakom Lake Resort and had an amazing experience. Our villa with private pool was beautifully designed, extremely comfortable, and impeccably clean. The entire property is tastefully maintained, and the staff are both competent and genuinely attentive. We especially enjoyed the activities such as fishing, pottery, yoga, coconut oil pressing, the sunset cruise, and the evening cultural programs. The spa is outstanding, and thoughtful touches like the tender-coconut stall and lamp lighting ceremony added to the charm. A truly wonderful place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a month long journey around India. It was the perfect place to unwind and lounge in the lap of luxury. The villas are extra special, the property has preserved and relocated very special heritage architecture onto the grounds so you get beautiful structures, with all modern conveniences. The people who work here are gracious, warm, and welcoming. The neighbourhood is safe and walkable. The Ayurvedic massage was super. Food, amenities, gift shop all top notch.

Very nice and beautiful property, ideally located on the shores of the lake and back waters. We took their cruise and loved 24 hours in their house boat, what an amazing experience we had. The food here is awesome and tastier than any other place till now, we visited. The strength of this property is their People, the staff is very courteous, nice people and very much helpful. They don’t know the word “NO” they try their best to make your stay a memorable one. We just loved this property and infact everything about them.

He patiently explained the different room options and guided me through all the activities available at Kumarakom Lake Resort. His clarity, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire process effortless. I truly appreciate the time he took to answer all my questions. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ettukettu Specialty Restaurant! The food was incredible — every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The ambience is stunning and adds so much warmth to the dining experience. The staff were super helpful and made us feel truly taken care of from start to finish. The service was smooth, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Loved everything about this place — highly recommended!”

This day was excellent! We stayed a total of four nights. The first night was spent on a houseboat. The room on the House boat was excellent, and the three members of the hotel staff that accompanied us on the journey were highly professional. There were two captains and one chef. When we talked for the evening, the houseboat was connected to land based power and a security guard with stationed outside of the boat the entire evening. It was a very safe and secure experience.||Upon returning to the resort, we checked into our room, which was a meandering pool villa. Everything was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and attentive.||The buffet is excellent and well stocked with a wide variety of food items. Again, the restaurant staff was excellent and very attentive.||We spoke with the chef/food and beverage Director during her stay and complimented him on what a fine operation is running.

This hotel is blessed with water - a lake- and it has used nature to good advantage. Again, our reception was welcoming and courteous. We were shown to our room which like others was individual. The bathroom - indulgent- specifically the private but outside shower. This really is a tourist resort, with good bar and restaurant facilities.
