On the Grid : Kumpelnest 3000

"An after-work favourite with the Edenspiekermann team, this traditional Berlin dive bar is unashamedly trashy and a lot of fun. Rumours say that David Bowie, Nick Cave and Iggy Pop partied here in the wild 80s." - EdenSpiekermann

Just stopped by Kumpelnest for a quick beer, the place is superb. I loved the music and had some good speakers indeed! The interior is quite intriguing giving Berlin 1990s vibes. The staff is super friendly as well! Highly recommend ⭐️

Stumbled into this hidden gem “just for one beer”… and ended up staying over two hours. Two nights in a row. The decorations are beautifully hideous, the music dangerously dance- and sing-along-able, and every corner hides another Easter egg—on the ceiling, the walls, or even the guests themselves. I sacrificed a chunk of my very limited Berlin nightlife here and regret absolutely nothing. 10/10, this is the only must visit for my next trip to Berlin

I have had a lot of fun at Kumpelnest previously, but until they change their doormen, I will not be coming back nor recommend it to anyone I know. These doormen were offensive, rude and outright aggressive.

Had a nice chat with the chef… servers and Barman were super nice as well… nice vibe even on a calm Monday night!

Google
Cool place and nice atmosphere but 5€ for a ,33 beer in a bottle in a place like this is a bit over the top.

Best small, freaky bar in Berlin. Messed up decor, cheap booze. What's not to like?

I normally don’t write reviews but we went there with some friends and had such an amazing time that i now compare kumpelnest3000 to any potential bar i go to and it takes the win every time🤙

I can't rate this pub due to it being at capacity. I arrived there after midnight on New Years, and it was packed. Locals seem to like it. I'd add that it is not for everyone. If you are looking for a cozy spot, this is not it. A guy outside asked me if I'm doing ok. Very nice. If I would not have been, he could have sold me something to help my mood. 😉

Yelp
I love this sparkly little dive bar, where a 5am closing time is just a conservative estimate, even on a weekday, where the regulars come up to you and make friendly conversation, where people go into the bathroom in twos and threes, where you can get wasted on the cheap in a delightfully charming atmosphere.

Yelp
Classic place to visit on your trip to Berlin. Great atmosphere. Cheap drinks and great bartenders. Super fun. Totally recommend if you are in for a night of debauchery. Even if you go earlier in the night, you will have fun.

Yelp
So fun. And strange, but I love that. It reminds me of a Fellini film. Or maybe the bar scene in the original Star Wars. Transiest bar ever. People were nice and we were just hoping we didn't look like tourists at a petting zoo. There was a little dance floor and nobody minded that we were taking it all in. The people watching was awesome. Eurotrash is acceptable to me if the people are off-kilter enough. Enjoy!

Yelp
One of my favorite places to drink) Inexpensive, good selection of alcohol. Visitors, unfortunately, a bit too much, but otherwise complete order

Yelp
We live in dark times. It's not easy to cut loose and put down your fear the KGB is listening right over your shoulder. Fear not fellow comrades, set down your struggle and raise a glass to the working class underground that frequents this lovely establishment. Have a cold brew or maybe even a sweet conversation with a sexy hottie just trying to take your mind off the problems of the proletariat. Let's be honest, the system is strong, and they are many and we are few, so we must embrace establishments that aren't afraid to acknowledge the struggle. The best beer is brewed by the people's nest. Long live the kumpelsnest!

Yelp
Crazy, wild, lovely, beautiful Berlin.

Yelp
Fun little dive bar. Eclectic as all hell. Say hi to Reinhardt!

Yelp
Besides the great kitschy decor, the rest of the bar is a typical bar experience. The bartender tried to feign ignorance about beer in order to get rid of his more expensive, yet basic American beer as we weren't German (all while drinking a beer behind the bar). Other than that, enjoy the locals dancing. Don't expect the welcome matt to be rolled out for you, but if you make the effort it's possible join in.

Yelp
An amazingly fun bar. Attracts all sorts. i visited Berlin 14 years ago and spent quite a few nights of my trip soaking in the scenery and fun aplenty. This is former brothel and the decor is uber decadent. Where I had my first whisky sour.

Yelp
Very trashy, but in the way that some Berliners like it. Drinks are mediocre and it's a tiny area. But there's barely anyone there, so it doesn't matter.

Yelp
this place is hilarious. horrible decor and the music is very often schlager of the kind only germans seem to really know how to love. but these are not bad things. this is a really fun and wild gay club that still carries a great dive feeling and a really accepting crowd (including when you are straight or a girl).
