Kunming Cloudland International Youth Hostel

I had such a pleasant stay at this hotel. I arrived early in the morning when it was still cold outside and one of the staff members I believe she works at the coffee station asked me to wait inside where it was warmer. Such a simple gesture but it meant so much. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming making check-in smooth and fun. Little acts of kindness like these make all the difference. I truly appreciate the warm hospitality as this is my first time staying hotel in China. I can't wait to stay here again. Thank you for such a lovely experience. Special thanks to the coffee station staff I forgot to asked her name. Would be nice to know her name please.

Loved this hostel so much I extended my stay here. Beautiful space with lots of greenery and flowers. Indoor and outdoor shared areas with lots of international and chinese travellers alike all keen to socialise. Table tennis/snooker available too. The extensive menu was reasonably priced and very good quality I ended up eating at the hostel a lot. Would come back here next time I come to Kunming!

Absolutely incredible value for money! Hostel has all the cool vibes, but the private room has all the amenities of a hotel. They keep the common facilities very clean too, and the food and drinks were quality! Would definitely stay again. We spoke Chinese, but the employees seem to speak quite good English, which is a bonus.

We booked this location because we wanted to be around other travellers during our last part of season and be in somewhere Kunming that is good location and affordable. We got what we wanted and more. Location wise is close to the morning market where we really enjoy the variety of food, breakfast, culture and got some blueberries there. In terms of the accommodation we choose a room of two instead of a bunk bed and enjoyed quality sleep. There are some sounds when we are resting but it's understandable and we made many friends and valueble connections that wouldn't want it for any way. There's a lot of common area where everyone keep very hard to maintain so the place is comfortable and clean. If were to be back Kunming would definitely book this place again. Traveling to bus station or train station is very strategic and many parks nearby and post office. The staff offered many help. Probably because we speak the common language and are extroverts therefore we really enjoyed our stay. It might be different experience for everyone.

I just wrapped up my stay at Big Feet Hostel in Kunming, and it was an absolute delight! The location is simply unbeatable. Nestled right in the heart of the city, it's within easy reach of the subway station, and a vibrant array of restaurants and shops are just around the corner. Getting to must - visit places like Cuihu Park was a piece of cake. The single room I booked was a haven of comfort. It was spotlessly clean, and the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. The private bathroom was a huge plus. It was not only clean but also well - equipped, with hot water available at all times, which was perfect for a relaxing shower after a long day of exploration. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring I got a great night's sleep every night. The common areas of the hostel are equally charming. There's a beautiful courtyard where I spent many pleasant hours chatting with fellow travelers from across the globe. The staff members were incredibly warm - hearted and always ready to offer valuable suggestions on local hidden gems. All in all, this stay was a wonderful experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Big Feet Hostel to anyone seeking a budget - friendly yet comfortable accommodation option in Kunming. It definitely added an extra special touch to my trip!

We had a private room which was very nice! Didn’t feel at all like a hostel. Bathroom was clean and comfortable, bed as well. Room was very quiet too. The hostel is pretty well located, with a day market nearby perfect for breakfast or lunch, and a night market also less than 10 min by foot, ideal for dinner. The staff is kind and welcoming and they helped us with our questions as they could speak English. The most nearby metro station is 10-15 min by foot which is not bad, but sometimes taking a DiDi is cheaper/quicker. Uploaded a couple photos of the nearby markets for reference

Nice and cosy place. Location was ok just a bit far from subway but if you want to reach faster you can go by bike. Unfortunately I had 2 days and couldn’t join their events to have fun , but what they had it looks very interesting . What I liked more , the environment , calmness and greenness of this place .

best hostel I‘ve stayed at in china! great atmosphere you can meet a lot of people. the room is very comfortable and clean. you can tell that the hotel management makes an effort to provide guests with a good experience. there are group activities organized by the hostel and the rooms are cleaned several times a day. the lobby has a guitar and the balcony has sun all day! exactly felt as depicted by the photos on their website!
