I visited Kunsthal for the Iris van Herpen exhibition, and it was a good experience overall. The exhibition was filled with incredible dresses made from unexpected materials, so it was definitely worth seeing.
However, on a Sunday afternoon it was extremely crowded. They only accept visitors with reservations, but even with that system the number of people inside felt excessive. It was difficult to take photos without others stepping into the frame, and at times it was genuinely hard to move around. There was also a line at the entrance, and the café was so full that there was no place to sit even if you arrived with your own group.
I would have appreciated more signage inside the museum—directions on where to go next, how to proceed through the exhibition, etc. Especially when it is this crowded, better guidance would make the flow much smoother.
I particularly liked the lighting design, which highlighted the dresses beautifully and made them look even more striking. The museum is easy to reach by public transport and overall a nice place to spend a weekend afternoon with a friend.
