Interesting place. It has its unique vibe. The best thing you can do there is create a collage

I really enjoyed my visit to Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. The exhibitions were thought-provoking and the space itself is very impressive. A great place for contemporary art lovers! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very interesting museum. But more of a conceptual art museum than impressionism, academic or realism art.

Nice hall and cultural arts artifacts.

The museum was built in 1967 in in a sober brutalist architectural style using lots of prefab concrete The building houses the Kunsthalle and the Kunstverein for NRW. The exhibitions are from contemporary artist with sometimes challenging art for the visitors. Some may like that, others not but just immerse yourself in art

The Kunsthalle Düsseldorf was amazing! We saw the exhibition by Sheila Hicks and we loved it. Plus the ambience of the building and the personell made it even better! The fact that there is a 'einfache Sprache Deutsch' (easy German) to make the exhibition text more available also fascinated me :) 10/10 would go there again.

They opened for Nacht der Museen but fenced everything off so you couldn’t even really see the artworks. What is the point? It made a nice open space crowded and uncomfortable. They also posted unfriendly and aggressive security staff in every room anyway. Just a bad experience all round and not recommended

I loved the artpieces they had there. It was a little much. The museum had packed the walls vertically and horizontally full with artpieces. If you really want to enjoy, you should take your time and read what those art pieces are about, which I did. Because of this, the museum had more soul then when I didn't, way more, which I enjoyed. Also I loved the woman who explained to me that there were more beautiful artpieces. Also the video's of Chinese clothingfactory employee's I enjoyed, because it made you experience their life and labor.

Yelp
This museum was so empty we could hear ourselves walk. They display one artist at a time, in my case Cody Choi. Protest art, straight anti consumerism philosophy, but in 20min you've seen it all and it doesn't enrich you like art should do. It doesn't add up to the moderb art it's being showed elsewhere. There's definitely room for improvement.

Yelp
The Kunsthalle Düsseldorf is a museum of contemporary art from the Rhineland and throughout Europe. It is an interesting museum to visit if you enjoy modern art as it has a good mix of different temporary exhibitions, which change frequently. Entry cost is EUR5.50 (EUR3.50 for concessions).
