The food was absolutely beautiful. Amazing flavours and good customer service. I am gluten free so I needed to ask for help with what I could eat as it's not written on the menu. However there were some great options for me and my partner who can eat anything really enjoyed his meal too. The decor is also very beautiful. Well worth a visit for authentic SriLankan vegan food!

Kunthaville is quietly 100 % vegan, though you wouldn’t guess it from the listing. I asked the host to confirm that everything, including the watalappam, is plant-based. We visited in early May and I ordered à la carte; the curry-leaf coconut rice with its accompaniments was the best Sri-Lankan vegan dish I’ve eaten. In fact, better than anything I tried in Colombo. Sadly, the Rathu Kakulu haal (red rice) I loved in Nuwara Eliya wasn’t on the menu. The arrack cocktails are strong yet balanced and pair beautifully with the food. Owner-host Kuntha is warm, engages just enough, and makes the cosy shophouse feel like home. A must-visit for anyone who loves big flavours and plant-based dining.

Had a wonderful Anniversary dinner at Kunthaville! Loved the personalisation and the complimentary anniversary cake. Staff was attentive and walked us through the 6 course tasting menu. The Sri Lankan menu was extensive. The cozy vibe, soft music, and delicious food really took the whole experience up a notch. Kunthaville is an experience not to be missed!

Lovely restaurant with a wonderful ambience with delicious, healthy food offered. The rice plate was delicious, and the jackfruit curry and lentils are a great combo with the perfectly cooked coconut rice which is not too rich. However, I wish the chairs weren’t so low which made sitting and eating a bit uncomfortable. The deep fried croquettes were also super, but I wish they offered a slightly smaller portion for a cheaper price as 3 large fritters and a main is a bit too much to eat in one sitting. But overall, it’s a lovely restaurant and if I’m in the mood for date night and South Indian food, I’d definitely come back. Also quite a quiet place for a good convo. Edited: came back here and ordered different curries and it’s even better than the previous visit. I would recommend sticking to the beetroot cutlet if you want a fried appetiser but if not, save space for the curries! They each have a really distinctive flavour and I can’t wait to be back to try the others. This time I ordered the roti with spiced potatoes (very spicy! Highly recommended. Roti had a lovely texture, not like roti prata, it’s different) The fenugreek curry with garlic and tomato sauce is a hit and the jackfruit curry - always good, rich sauce but light vegetable, good contrast. Overall wasn’t as over stuffed as the last time so it’s better. Briyani was a bit too rich for my taste. Would have been better off with the lemon rice. Total bill was more affordable this time, $67 for two curries, one briyani and one appetiser.

Authentic Sri Lankan restaurant, 100% plant-based. 🌱 Atmosphere: an oasis of tranquillity in the middle of buzzing little India Food: every dish was excellent, rich in flavors and different textures Service: great service with detailed explanations about every single dish Price: definitely upscale but still reasonable for dishes. Teas instead are extremely expensive. Summary: can’t wait to visit again to try the rest of the menu!

Had their Kunthaville’s Signature 6-Course Tasting Menu - Premium Ceylon Tea Tasting, - Beetroot Cutlets and Jackfruit Rolls, - Roasted Butternut Pumpkin Soup. - Appam with Cheeni Chambal - Curry Leaf Coconut Rice Set - Vegetable Briyani - Falooda Truly an awesome dining experience—every dish was plant-based yet rich with depth and tradition. The vegan flavours far exceeded our expectations. @cheechin.chew on Instagram

Kunthaville was my first experience of Sri Lankan food in Singapore. First of all, the restaurant is inside a beautiful shophouse with high ceilings, and the atmosphere was calm, a big contrast against the noise and hustle of Little India. Food was excellent (and that's big for me since I'm a huge carnivore). I didn't expect vegan Sri Lankan food to be so outstanding. Their signature curry leaf coconut rice meal was so flavorful and filling. The biryani was spicy and delicious (and holy that was some of the best eggplant curries I've tried). Our kids adored both the sweet and savory appams and they wolfed each appam down within a minute. Service was attentive and I was thankful to the waiter who came with more iced water as he saw me dying (happily) with the spice. Will come back
