Amazing hotel! The view is simply breathtaking. While there isn’t a proper beach for lounging, you can walk along the shore and swim—the water is wonderful. By the pool, there’s plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ocean view.
The rooms are spacious and well-designed, with plenty of space (though the bathtub wasn’t really necessary). The bed is very comfortable, and every room has a fantastic view. We didn’t have direct beach access, but we didn’t feel like we needed it.
We attended the fire show they offered one evening—it was fantastic!
The hotel is a bit outside of town, but it’s about a 10-minute drive in either direction: towards the main town by the pier (which we didn’t like as much) or further north to a laid-back village with plenty of vegan options and a great vibe.
Breakfast offers a wide variety, including options for vegans, though it could be labeled better (it only says "vegetarian"). Even for dinner, they have many vegan options. However, not all the waitstaff seemed equally knowledgeable about vegetarian/vegan distinctions. When we asked for vegan options, the response was often, “Yes, vegetarian!” In Thailand, "vegetarian" doesn’t always mean 100% free of animal products, so dishes may still contain things like fish or shrimp sauce.
