This was an amazing experience for our travel group of four. The staff is so welcoming and the place just sparkles. The food is amazing as well. The pool villas were dreamy and we got such incredible service from everyone. We felt like loyalty throughout this stay- this hotel is my new standard for excellence.

Amazing hotel! The view is simply breathtaking. While there isn’t a proper beach for lounging, you can walk along the shore and swim—the water is wonderful. By the pool, there’s plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ocean view. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, with plenty of space (though the bathtub wasn’t really necessary). The bed is very comfortable, and every room has a fantastic view. We didn’t have direct beach access, but we didn’t feel like we needed it. We attended the fire show they offered one evening—it was fantastic! The hotel is a bit outside of town, but it’s about a 10-minute drive in either direction: towards the main town by the pier (which we didn’t like as much) or further north to a laid-back village with plenty of vegan options and a great vibe. Breakfast offers a wide variety, including options for vegans, though it could be labeled better (it only says "vegetarian"). Even for dinner, they have many vegan options. However, not all the waitstaff seemed equally knowledgeable about vegetarian/vegan distinctions. When we asked for vegan options, the response was often, “Yes, vegetarian!” In Thailand, "vegetarian" doesn’t always mean 100% free of animal products, so dishes may still contain things like fish or shrimp sauce. This made us a bit concerned whether the food was truly vegan. However, what we had was delicious and well-prepared

Absolutely perfect. We stayed at the beachfront villa with a pool for our 15 year anniversary, and it was so luxurious and comfortable. We decided to order room service for lunch one day, and we couldn’t believe how good it was. The food came to our room still hot and delicious. We decided to book dinner at the hotel restaurant because we loved it so much. Dinner was even more special - candlelight dinner, prompt/friendly service and such good food. Our waiter, Noe, was so fantastic and ended up serving cocktails for us during the trip as well. We are actually sad to leave this hotel tomorrow and would be happy to come back here again. Thank you all so much for the wonderful stay!

the location of this is simply beautiful; a beachside room (with lots of privacy) gives access to the beach (granted with high tide, you can jump into the sea directly ), watching the most beautiful sunsets from your deck (with small swimming pool) overlooking the beach and the sea. The room itself is extremely spacious, everything works perfectly. some items could be upgraded a bit, like the outside deck chair/table, but it is all functional. The breakfast and food is great (lots of choice, all fresh) and with some modest entertainment in the evening as well pretty cool to sit outside overlooking the beautiful pool/beach area. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, from San at breakfast, Andy at reception and extremely kind No-Noe during evening dinner.

We stayed for 3 nights on our honeymoon. Even though it’s a nice hotel, wouldn’t recommend for couples or if you’re looking for a 5-star experience. The room was clean and spacious, but a little run-down and not very well maintained. We had dirty sheets when we arrived, they changed it quickly. The private pool in our room wasn’t very clean, apart from leaves and bugs (which I guess you can’t completely avoid) the water was oily and the bottom was a little moldy. We took a sunset room and there was no view. There were a lot of kids, and the common areas are small, so it is hard to avoid and find quiet places. The restaurant is nice, but VERY expensive, not a big variety. The staff were very nice and welcoming. When we checked-in they only gave us a key, and didn’t give us a lot of info regarding meals, shuttles etc. We looked it up ourselves. The resort has the most beautiful beach and offers complimentary Kayak to explore. There is a complementary shuttle to the nearest town. The is a bar near the resort (Amsterdam Bar) and you hear the music in the rooms at night.

It is a magic place to visit. I have been here 4 years in row, and I am enjoying it. We are always a lot of friends staying at Kupu Kupu. |Why it’s not getting the fifth star is because the owners don’t do anything to maintain the place, and the resort is having a lot of scars. And if you have to be a 5 star resort it has to stay sharp. But why it should have 5 stars, is because of the staff. Pla is such a god host, and are always on the top of his game. Tik is a fabulous server, with always a smile and excellent service, foam is making the best coffee, Sun is making the best eggs you can get. San has the biggest smile you can get, and the nicest personality. Andy is always there for you, when you have to arrange trips or boats. He is such service minded person. That is worth coming back for, we are definitely coming back, but hope the owners will step up and maintain the resort.

Luxurious villas with a lot of traditional charm which is so much more romantic than modern and sterile hotels. Buffet breakfast is an abundance of delicacies catering for everyone’s needs. The location couldn’t be better and the staff are extremely hard working , attentive and kind. Stayed at sunset villa- very private and beautiful view of the luxurious gardens and sunset. Thank you so much for a memorable time. Can’t rate this experience high enough.
