Great concept open cafe with a nice atmosphere. Service was also great. We order matcha lattes with oat milk but wasn’t very strong and the smallest cups which was sad so we ended up ordering a Hojicha (same size) and matcha ice cream crumble (made with dairy). Ice cream was nice/refreshing but wouldn’t order again. They do specialise in coffee so perhaps we just ordered wrong. Also sell coffee and accessories.

Modern, minimaist style modern café. They focus on colbrew and earopress. ! Only aeropress-based "espresso" here (cappuccino, flat white). Lots of coffee products! Captivating and modern interior design. Fast and friendly service. . I liked the style, but it was a bit too busy, and as an espresso lover I had to compromise. For the coffee syle they have, the coffee is too nutty, I would welcome fruity and flowery options like Costa Rica or Honduras. Tip for owners: try some south Africa beans, they work better for your type of coffee :)

Love the coffee, staff, products and ice cream! Total regular… the staff is super lovely and upbeat. Helpful to a fault. To a degree where they will literally ensure you don’t end up on the streets ;) The coffee is great, and it’s impressive how they manage to create an ‘espresso style’ drink with the aero press. They also have stunning products to buy and take home. Both for coffee and tea. Last but not least: highly recommend their matcha ice-cream and crunch. Deliciously rich. Totally addictive. Thank you all so much! See you next year 😊✨

A lovely cafe, I ordered ice hand dripped Kenya medium roasted, and it was so delightful. The vibes are amazing and the staff are lovely.

Beautiful cafe serving artisinal coffee and matcha. Their love for the ingredients comes through, you can select different countries of origins and blends, and also get ceremonial matcha. Seating is gorgeous and modern. Takeout and eat in. Very limited selection of sweets available. A little on the pricier end due to the ingredients. 💳 Takes credit card 🛍️ Also sells coffee beans and accessories

I’m not sure it gets better than this for a pour over enthusiast. This is a wonderfully relaxed experience where you grab a seat and let masters craft your pour over coffee. Definitely prioritize this location over the Kyoto station location if you’re very into the coffee experience.

Best coffee we had during our 5 weeks in Japan. The staff are so kind and knowledgeable - big thanks to them for helping with our questions about a coffee grinder setting at home! Excellent variety of coffee for pour over, aeropress latte or cold brew. During our visit in Kyoto we were able to try two of the lattes and 4 types of pour overs and all were great in there own way - you can’t really go wrong and the tasting descriptions were accurate. It can get pretty busy, but there is a decent amount of seating. They also have matcha and hojicha lattes and sell those powders + coffee beans and equipment in the shop.

During the pandemic, I came across kurasu because I became interested in coffee, specifically pourover. I'm not from Japan so coming here last December 2024, it's a dream come true to finally see it in person. Moreover, it's tucked in a quiet street which was a plus. We ordered pourover coffee (Ethiopia) and their matcha latte. The pourover coffee was okay, a bit diluted to my liking, nonetheless I was still fine with it. The matcha was great, we're a big fan of their matcha! Sadly though they didn't have smaller matcha powder (only the 1kg i think) so we weren't able to buy. But I bought coffee beans and coffee drips, I can't really resist buying their coffee beans 😂 We went here I think 15-20mins before they close but they were nice enough to accommodate us, they also reminded us of their closing time. Still, the staff were accommodating and even enthusiastically answered our queries. I love their hospitality! Would return again once we visit osaka again!
