KURMA Freedive Camiguin Eco Lodge & Resto

Can't speak for the rooms as I just tried the restaurant which I had high hopes for having checked out their menu, which looked interesting with a good choice of veggie options. Sadly it failed to deliver. Firstly they only had one other couple dining there, so I felt the wait of close to 1 hour for the food to arrive unacceptable. I have been in Philippines numerous times and know that service can be quite slow but not this slow in an empty restaurant. When the food arrived it was such a let down and we had to force ourselves to eat it. Ratatouille bland and overpriced for what it was. The real let down was the coconut patty burger. Tasteless in a stale hard bun served with burnt sweet potato chips. When they are charging over 300p a dish, I'm really expecting something a lot better. They also offer yoga lessons at 400p from an obviously unqualified instructor who didn't know what she was doing. An unmitigated disaster!

Very friendly staff, and good value for money. Not luxurious or anything, but you get a clean room and the staff cleans it every other day and provides new towels. Very close to White Island

Loved our stay at Kurma! Staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, we particularly enjoyed the mango jam with breakfast and vegan kare kare.

We had such a lovely time here, met some great people and the staff looked after us really well. The free diving experience was really well organised and lots of fun and good value, with different options depending on experience and how much time you have available.

I had an incredible time at Kurma. I stayed here for 2 weeks and wish I could have stayed here longer.||Kurma has everything you need while on Camiguin. The scenery/views are amazing. Kurma is right on the water and you can swim/snorkel/dive right outside. ||The diving is incredible, and the instruction is amazing. Diggi, Robert, Christen, and Will are all phenomenal instructors.||The restaurant is also incredible. The food is so fresh and high quality, and the service is amazing.||You can get your laundry done, you can rent scooters, and they even organized a trip to Mantigue Island and took care of all the gear/logistics.||You cannot go wrong staying here!

It was a wonderful stay here at kurma! Although we stayed last year at this place and this review is way overdue. I believe that they deserve it still. The staff exceeded my expectations. They are even willing to wake up and prepare our packed lunch ready for our mountain hike trip at 5am. There's a lot of vegetarian options in their menu. The owner is super friendly. The room is comfy, no fridge in the room at this time though. The white beach island is just in front of it. The wifi can only be accessed in their dining area. Hope this has changed by now. They offer free diving classes too! I dont think i was able to book them through booking sites but only through facebook which they are very responsive.

First planned to stay few nights in Camiguin, ended up with almost 2 weeks. I had a freediving course, and the owners were nice enough to offer me a place to stay in the dorm they are actually building for sole travelers during this time. The place is super peaceful, you have that yoga room fully equipped available for you, a lot of rental gear for kayaking, snorkeling or freediving. The freedive school is definitely a quality one, instructors are professionals. The restaurant is quite good, the prices aren't too high and the staff is lovely. I highly recommend this place overall for its warm and relaxing atmosphere.
