The 19 Best Desserts In London - London - The Infatuation

"The croissant bread and butter pudding rings in our mind like a siren anytime we’re in the vicinity of this tiny Notting Hill bakery. A slice of the dense, doughy loaf is the kind of sweet brick that could easily be shared—but why share when you can save half for later? Stand in the queue, talk loudly about ordering the pain au chocolat to throw everyone else off, and pray that no one takes the last slice of pudding before you order." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna

Kuro Bakery - Review - Notting Hill - London - The Infatuation

"Whenever we’re around Notting Hill during the day, the croissant bread and butter pudding from this tiny takeaway bakery rings in our mind like a siren. A slice of the dense, doughy loaf is the kind of sweet brick that could easily be shared—but why share when you can save half for later? That should be your game plan at Kuro Bakery. Stand in the inevitable queue, stare longingly at the pain au chocolat and cheese truffle swirl, and pray that no one takes the last slice of pudding before you get a chance to order. Because while this cool, beige and white bakery is filled with delicious-looking things like apple crumble and limited-edition peanut butter danishes, the bread and butter pudding is what it’s all about. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Rianne Shlebak

I visited Kuro Bakery. There are bakery, cafe and bagel shop gathered around each other. I got a latte and a sakuro. The latte wasn’t special, but it tasted good. I’ve always wanted fresh cream that’s not too sweet with bread, and the vanilla sakuro was perfect for me. But it’s a shame there were no seats available.

The food is beautiful, but I found it slightly disappointing. I got one of the pistachio flavoured ones and this is probably because of personal preference but I found the texture of the pistachio off- putting. And I didn’t particularly like the cream on the inside. It felt a bit too much. No seating space but there is a bench right outside and it’s fun to sit there and people watch.

Kuro in Notting Hill is a hidden gem that combines minimalist aesthetics with exceptional food and coffee. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by a calm, welcoming ambiance with a modern, Japanese-inspired design. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering everything from perfectly brewed specialty coffee to fresh, creative dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The avocado toast with yuzu dressing is a standout—bright, zesty, and utterly delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel relaxed and well cared for. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or a coffee break, Kuro is a Notting Hill treasure you’ll want to return to again and again…and we did!

Delicious pastries, really fresh, great texture, balanced flavour, not overly sweet, much nicer than many similar popular spots in London. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. Would be nice to have a space to sit down, but can always grab a space in Kuro Cafe around the corner.

Stopped by Kuro this morning for the first time. I tried their chocolate sakuro which was very nice, yet a bit expensive for the size (£5.50), they couldn’t make coffee at the bakery so popped by their cafe around the corner. I also discovered they have a third place called Kuro Eatery which is next on my list to try.

I love Kuro, and I’ve only been once! What a wonderful experience I had. This was definitely due to the wonderful service of the young team on site (5* to them for sure) and their wide variety of pastries and breads were great. I got two small pastries with a focaccia bread which had dried tomatoes inside. They were both divine. I would like to return to try the blackberry Sakura, it looks very delicious. Will be back.

I popped into Kuro my first morning in London. The pastries are some of the best I’ve ever eaten. I took some back to the Airbnb for my mom, and we couldn’t believe how delectable and tasty everything was! The sakuro were top notch, and the service was also outstanding. Highly recommend!

Excellent, friendly service. Coffee was well made and very nice. Croissant up there as one of the best in London. Will definitely be back to try their other baked goods.
