We visited several coffee shops in Bordeaux recently, KURO was our favourite. This is a quaint little place along Rue Mautrec. They have a handful of tables inside and serve up really good coffee and a handful of light bites. We found the Brioche Cannelle to be fresh and tasty, went well with the coffees. Service was very friendly, great environs. Would gladly take coffee and light breakfast here at KURO again next time in the city.

The best specialty coffee ever. I had a double shot natural Ethiopia, it was unbeatable and my wife an amazing cappuccino. We tried the following day but it was closed for being Saturday. It was a shame but we’ll come back. Thanks for the experience!

Nice little coffee shop with friendly service. Solid coffee and sweet and savory snacks available. Generous salad garnish for a small extra fee.

A true owner-run feel-good place hidden away in a small alley just opposite the monument aux Girondins. Lovely coffee and nibbles for fair prices in a calm and tastefully decorated small cafe. It's just the kind of place that I love. Highly recommend - please remember to tip - this is not a chain. It belongs to a real owner with a personal philosophy of making great coffee and happy customers. 🙏✌️

Google
Best coffee in Bordeaux, hands down. If you are craving decent coffee, flat whites, cortados etc this is the place. They also make homemade cakes and quiche on the premises and they are great. High quality

Best coffee I had in Bordeaux. Got breakfast here! Some good options - fresh pressed OJ, croque monsieur

There were a few good coffee places in Bordeaux but this was by far my personal favourite. The Thai Beef Salad was also really good. I wish more cafes offered these healthier options.

Yelp
I stayed in a nearby hotel and luckily, Kuro was the closest coffee shop. The coffee is amazing and the owner(?) is incredibly kind and helpful. I wish we stayed in Bordeaux longer to try more of the drinks and the amazing food here. Everything looked delicious, especially the quiche.

Yelp
There's not a lot of places in Bordeaux where you can gef matcha so I'm very happy to have found KURO. It's near the merry go round and the Grand Theatre however it is in a back street not a main street so keep that in mind when looking for it. It is a relatively small space so I sat in the patio in the back for more comfort and more air. I ordered a soy matcha latté and a zucchini cranberry muffin and both were amazing. The latté was a lot sweeter than expected but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Also the cashier was a complete sweetheart and very approachable.

Yelp
Wonderful little cofeee bar in a great location. They have Oat Milk! (Luat d'ovoin). In a little quiet alley away from the hustle and bustle of Bordeaux.

Yelp
Exceptional service! The owner is a knowledgeable, multilingual purist with all the know-how and equipment to make the best coffee in Bordeaux! Must-visit! I really hope he succeeds with his new business!

Yelp

Yelp
This shop is really cute and was right by our hotel. It's a little bit hidden in an alley. They had a pretty solid cortado and some small tables to hang out at. Bonus - Free wifi.

Yelp
Kuro is my lastest coffeeshop crush in Bordeaux. Hidden behind the Grand Hotel, this cosy little place offer real specialist coffee, which is rare in this city (but a growing scene). Most importantly, the owner is really attentive and will give you all the advice you need to make your selection. Decor is simple but warm, in the nordic tradition with plain wood tables and cute cacti all over. I tried their chemex, soy cappuccino and Chai latte and they were all yummi. Baked good are also to try. I think next time I'll go for lunch and let you know what this is like ;-)

Yelp
Delicious!! Cute Ambiente, definitely instagramable, however pretty small menu esp. if you don't like sweets, but we still found a great hearty meal for lunch...

Yelp
Cute coffee shop tucked away behind the Grand Hotel. Great coffee and sandwiches, will definitely be coming back!
