A hidden gem in Bordeaux!
Perfect cappuccino, flaky and rich chocolate croissant – both spot on. Tiny space with a cozy vibe, where the incredibly friendly owner runs the whole show himself. You can taste the passion in every cup. Ideal stop for coffee lovers looking for quality and charm.

Small, quiet and lovely cafe. This is the cafe that made me love chaï latte. There is very little else to say, beside that it is one of my favourite place in the city, that it should be better known but at the same time those who like it would rather not it be known, so that we can keep it to ourselves.
Besides the drinks, all the pastries I've tried were delicious.

A lovely little gem in Bordeaux with a cozy ambiance and warm service. KURO Café blends minimalist charm with thoughtful details, from the welcoming baristas to the carefully curated coffee selection. They source their beans from Utopia and Colombia varieties — a real treat for coffee enthusiasts. I had a well-pulled espresso paired with a delightful brioche cardamom — the kind of simple pleasure that makes a morning memorable. Ideal spot for a quiet moment or casual conversation in a beautiful corner of the city. Would gladly return.

My wife and I had the most amazing V60 pour over coffees here, during our trip to Bordeaux. There were 4-5 different options and the owner took the time to understand what type of coffee we like, and made a recommendation. My wife has a washed Ethiopian and I had an anaerobic Rwandan, both were delicious. 🤌

We visited several coffee shops in Bordeaux recently, KURO was our favourite. This is a quaint little place along Rue Mautrec.
They have a handful of tables inside and serve up really good coffee and a handful of light bites. We found the Brioche Cannelle to be fresh and tasty, went well with the coffees. Service was very friendly, great environs.
Would gladly take coffee and light breakfast here at KURO again next time in the city.

The best specialty coffee ever. I had a double shot natural Ethiopia, it was unbeatable and my wife an amazing cappuccino. We tried the following day but it was closed for being Saturday. It was a shame but we’ll come back. Thanks for the experience!

Yelp
I stayed in a nearby hotel and luckily, Kuro was the closest coffee shop. The coffee is amazing and the owner(?) is incredibly kind and helpful. I wish we stayed in Bordeaux longer to try more of the drinks and the amazing food here. Everything looked delicious, especially the quiche.

Yelp
There's not a lot of places in Bordeaux where you can gef matcha so I'm very happy to have found KURO. It's near the merry go round and the Grand Theatre however it is in a back street not a main street so keep that in mind when looking for it. It is a relatively small space so I sat in the patio in the back for more comfort and more air. I ordered a soy matcha latté and a zucchini cranberry muffin and both were amazing. The latté was a lot sweeter than expected but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Also the cashier was a complete sweetheart and very approachable.

Yelp
Wonderful little cofeee bar in a great location. They have Oat Milk! (Luat d'ovoin). In a little quiet alley away from the hustle and bustle of Bordeaux.

Yelp
This shop is really cute and was right by our hotel. It's a little bit hidden in an alley.
They had a pretty solid cortado and some small tables to hang out at.
Bonus - Free wifi.

Yelp
Kuro is my lastest coffeeshop crush in Bordeaux. Hidden behind the Grand Hotel, this cosy little place offer real specialist coffee, which is rare in this city (but a growing scene). Most importantly, the owner is really attentive and will give you all the advice you need to make your selection. Decor is simple but warm, in the nordic tradition with plain wood tables and cute cacti all over. I tried their chemex, soy cappuccino and Chai latte and they were all yummi. Baked good are also to try. I think next time I'll go for lunch and let you know what this is like ;-)

Yelp
Delicious!! Cute Ambiente, definitely instagramable, however pretty small menu esp. if you don't like sweets, but we still found a great hearty meal for lunch...

Yelp
Cute coffee shop tucked away behind the Grand Hotel. Great coffee and sandwiches, will definitely be coming back!
