A must-visit for Turkish coffee lovers! The aroma is incredible, and you can smell it from a distance. We joined the queue to buy their freshly ground coffee, and it was worth the wait. The quality is excellent, and the shop maintains a traditional feel. Perfect spot to buy authentic Turkish coffee in the heart of the bazaar.

Passed this outlet by chance in my afternoon roaming. Smelt the coffee aroma wafting in the air, saw the incessant long queue & realised that this is the Turkish coffee to try! Bought a small set of 12 vacuum sealed packets of granulated coffee packs to try in my next pit stop in Edinburgh. Wish I had bought more but the local packaging doesn't state the strength or flavour of the beans in English. And being mindful of the queue behind me, just grabbed a pack to try. Taste was medium bold strength, full bodied. Nice. Good with milk for latte too. Highly recommend to try.

The best place to buy Turkish coffee or coffee with cream, if you think about a gift don’t hesitate to visit it. Prices are very reasonable

The same aroma and taste since generations. One of the oldest enterprises of the city

Despite the long queue, it moved quickly, and I was able to get my coffee fast. The prices are reasonable

When we first arrived, we were confused when lining up. We soon realized that the main front area is just for the coffee grounds/beans. If you go on the side, you’ll see a little café alley where you can grab a seat and someone will take your order. There is also a little shop to buy other coffee things. The coffee itself was delicious, very smooth and the grounds settled to the bottom perfectly. I’d recommend getting it with sugar as a treat. Price: 75TRY per coffee

They sell decaf coffee grounds! Very light and toasty flavor. Although it only comes in small bags. I really hope they start selling larger packages internationally. The shop is not very busy early morning or late night before closing, otherwise there is always a long line.

This is the most traditional thing to get your relatives if they like coffee! It's right across the entry to the Egyptian/Spice Market (Misirli Carsisi) and has been there for like 150+ years! Have been twice to the Grand Bazaar area so far and bought 5 x 100g coffee packs to take home as souvenirs. The price is really affordable and I recommend getting it for your friends and family. The staff is really busy, so don't expect a lot of attention, but taking into consideration that they sell only coffee and cocoa, what would you need? Just see the price list for the amount you need, tell the boys how much you need and pay. Be prepared to wait for a few minutes.

Yelp
May be the best coffee as it's in many shops. Went to the actual store and noticed a line and you cannot go in the store and take your time to see what you want. Once it's your turn, the guys were impatience and rushed you to order. If you were not fast enough, they gave you that look like you are in the way. Didn't really appreciate the service at all. So if you know what you want then stop by but if it's your first time, be ready to face the coffee cop.

Yelp
The best Turkish coffee you can buy in Istanbul (or in Turkey)! They've been in coffee grinding business for over a century and their shop is always busy with staff grinding & packing the coffee. You'll notice it off the Spice Market with a long line and you may ask yourself "WTF?".. But, if you're a Turkish coffee lover/drinker then this is the place to buy the coffee and prepare at home.. Unfortunately you can't drink coffee there, it's not a coffee shop. You should buy the coffee and go home to prepare it in a special "Turkish way"..

Yelp
I been there many times. You can feel the history blended with coffee smell. Freshest coffee and memorable moments even you just waiting there is a funny experience.

Yelp
Went there after buying loads of Turkish Delights from the EgyptianBazaar. The line was long but it moved fast esp. since they sell their freshly ground coffee in 2 basic sizes. It's been in operation since 1871 and yep - after tasting my cuppa turkish coffee, i can see why!Recommended.

Yelp
Love Mehmet Edendi. Some of the best Turkish coffee beans you can buy.

Yelp
This quite simply is the best coffee I've ever had. As another review stated, the line is usually quite long but moves extremely fast. I waited no more than 5 minutes. I didn't prepare the coffee I bought until I came back home to Canada. When I did prepare it I used the traditional Turkish Coffee method in a proper Turkish coffee pot and I was blown away with the soft frothy texture and amazing flavour. I find the caffeine rush is pretty minimal from this particular coffee as well which is a welcome quality. Now that my bag of coffee is running low I am on a mission to track some down online. I just hope it will be as good as the stuff I got from this place, the original Mehmet Ehfendi shop!
