This is a lovely lunch spot in Ebenezer Place. We had not had a lot of Afghan food prior to visiting the establishment so all the dishes were new experiences for us. The menu is small, but all dishes are delicious (my kind of food place!). We had a lamb kebab, a serving of dumplings, and the famed eggplant curry, with iced chai and rose sharbat on the side. The dumplings remained crunchy, despite being drenched in extremely flavorful tomato sauce. The kebab was of course delicious; and the eggplant curry was a little sweeter than we had expected, but that was definitely a welcome surprised. We left full and satisfied, and without much of a dent in our wallet because everything was so reasonably priced!

Kutchi Deli is a great addition to the already impressive list of eateries along Ebenezer place. Adorned in groovy patterns and colours, marvel in the atmosphere while you decide on what to order. The entire menu is definitely worth a look. I was able to sample a few dishes with our party of four. Everything tasted great and an honorable mention on the iced chai. Whether it was brewed from tea leaves and spices or powder, I'll never know (I would if I asked...). The Chai was delicious and not overly sweet the way most cafe's make it.

Adelaide is on the up because of joints like Kutchi. Family Ayubi are changing our understanding of Middle Eastern cuisine with their traditional Afghan recipes. Everything on the menu is worth doing, but the eggplant, dumplings, and spiced chai are all time. Worth going back at least once a week. At least.

Very sweet and friendly service! The chicken curry with rice and salad was scrumptious! The rose flavoured cold drink is nothing special though.

Great service, great price and great food. $20 for a choice of 3 different items on the menu. Will definitely go back. I told the lady it was my first time there and she took the time to go through the menu with me.

Quick lunch at @parwana.kitchen: Combo with eggplant, dahl, ashak (fried dumplings) - super delicious dish that was full of yummy stuff!

This cafe is like a big warm hug. Home cooked simple food that's unpretentious. The rice is so fragrant and tasty, as was the curry. The dumplings were highly recommended by my friend. The rose syrup drink was refreshing. Highly recommended and will be back when we're next in Adelaide.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now, so I can safely say that Kutchi Deli Parwana know what they are doing and keep it consistent. Great Middle Eastern food and an awesome interior designed by Studio-gram (who also did the interior of Africola and Abbots and Kinney); make this a great spot to stop for lunch when you're in the East End. Both times I have visited I have taken part in the lamb chapli kebab with Afghan naan, salad and chutney and haven't been disappointed. I'll have to return to try more items from their delicious selection.

Yelp
Well, well, well.. this restaurant is going to be some fierce competition for it's neighbours. What can I say... I think I have found my new favourite affordable lunch spot in Adelaide. There is so much I love about this small restaurant. Afghan food is amazing wherever you try it. But these guys take it to a whole new level. It is so fresh and homely. This is really the family cooking for you. You really can taste the love and skill they put into their food. In Adelaide, burgers are the flavour of the month (or maybe flavour of the last two years). Kutchi Delhi give the burger joints a run for their money offering something different than just a beef patty. The Chapli Kebab (Traditional Afghan Burger) is amazing. Just thinking about this burger as I write this is making me hungry. The lamb patty is light, spiced and herbed. It is complimented with tomatoes, lettuce and coriander. But best of all a mouth watering yoghurt minted sauce. This marries with the lamb so well. To finish,it is all placed in a traditional flat bread which is fresh and light. Don't get me wrong though, this is a super filling meal. But it is not fatty and heavy like your normal burger, and maybe why it is more appealing to me. As for the rest of the menu, I have only tried the Bolani with leek and feta (panfried turnover) served with the same amazing yoghurt sauce. This was awesome, and I think would be a great hangover cure! I am told that the Mantu Dumplings are to die for. So that is my next pick when I drop in. This food is easy to eat, and I believe appeals to all palates. Give it a go, and thank me later.

Yelp
I'm obsessed. The dumplings are to DIE for. I'd love to end my review here but then I might not look legitimate. Mantu I believe is the official name of my beloved dumplings, stuffed with carrot and onion with a lamb and yoghurt sauce... I've visited four times in the last two weeks, had the dumplings every time. Actually scared to try something else and get food regret if it isn't as good as those dumplings. It is super chockers all the time but I have always found a seat. The cute thing is you end up chatting to strangers because inevitably the only spot left is on the long bench next to someone else. The staff are super friendly and food comes out quick which makes it a great lunchtime hang. The great thing is that *IF* it was too busy you could always just visit another great place in vibrant East End. This probably isn't a well rounded review, since I've only tried one menu item but oh my it is so yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy!

Yelp
Friendly staff and fantastic food! My new Fave lunch spot when I'm hangry :) Although technically an afghani/middle eastern place - some dishes like the lamb quorma are very similar to North Indian dishes. All in all its a welcome break from the usual bland sandwich and salad lunch spots in the area!

Yelp
Excellent. Everything was delicious! Dumplings were the favourite. Friendly service and good vibes all round. Seating indoors and outdoors. Totally recommend this little joint for when you want something a bit different but also 100% delicious.

Yelp
The reputation of Pawarna carries on into this lunch time place situated amongst other small eateries. Didn't take long for the secret to be out to the general public to give this city branch a go. There are few small tables n a long table on the outside as well as a long bench along the inside wall provides eating spaces. All food & beverage orders are over the counter n paid for before delivery. They are all served in take away containers which can either consumed on site or off site, judging by the overflow rubbish bin outside, they may have to empty the bin more often? The small menu offers the well known and popular dishes from Pawarna on Henley Beach Road. Well done and appreciated by city population be it residents or workers in the precinct, I hear that customers walk all the way from Vic Sq during their short lunch hour! I had the lamb patty with fresh salad wrapped in naan bread, a fresh coriander sauce came with it, pity that it was too much liquid but a great accompaniment to the wrap. I would come back to try others dishes on the menu as they all looked good when I peeped into others orders The hot honey spiced chai was just right on a cold afternoon. A true gem to set up here in Eberzene Place in the East End amongst all other popular eateries. No shortage now!

Yelp
I pretty much never give 5 stars to a place I've only been to once, but we had a 5-star curry here and I think I'll have to break the rule for this one. I'll try not to make it a habit. And it was a vegetarian curry, too. Eggplant borani, which is yogurt, vegetables, and rice, and it was incredible. We also had a fried pancake stuffed with lamb (confusingly called "bolani", but no relation to the other dish that I can tell) which was also excellent. I also really like the way this little shop is decorated. The colourful tiles and painted walls make it look authentic (disclaimer: I've never been to Afghanistan). The owner was very friendly, happy to chat with us about the restaurant and his other location while we waited for the food. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Yelp
I have been meaning to check out Parwana for a while but it's well outside of my neighbourhood so I was super excited when Kutchi Deli opened up. The mantu (steamed dumplings stuffed with cabbage and carrot) are so amazing that so far I haven't been able to bring myself to order anything else. I did a sneaky lick of the container in the office kitchen because the lamb sauce is so delicious. 10/10 would recommend! Giving 4 stars because I've only tried 1 thing on the menu and therefore don't feel qualified to give 5...

Yelp
If you've eaten at Parwana, the parent restaurant of this place, you know what to expect from the food - Delicious, freshly made Afghani food. Parwana has long been one of our favourite places to go for a relaxing dinner and now we can get it for lunch too! Try the dumplings, they're excellent and hit the spot on a brisk winter afternoon. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and quantity you get, and the staff are very friendly. I've only been a few times and already they remember my name! The decor is wonderfully bright and cheerful too. Fantastic place. Highly recommended.

Yelp
The food here is super, and very fast. It's a tiny little place, so don't expect to be getting a group table, but since it's mostly a takeaway you can always head to the park. We had two kinds of dumplings, kofta, lamb pancake thingy and a chicken & naan... thing. I forgot the names, but they were all really really good. I feel that maybe calling this a "takeaway" is short selling it, as this is nothing like burgers and chips, but the food comes in takeaway boxes.
