First time stay at Kvyberg hostel. Even by the high standards of Sweden, this place exceeds my expectations. It feels more like a luxury resort than a youth hostel. I've stayed in a lot of hostels, this place is on another level altogether. Super quiet location, within minutes of the city centre. Super high quality interior, rooms, diner, kitchen, common areas, all high quality. Happy me

The place is very clean and quiet. It looks cozy and friendly. There is a shared kitchen equipped well enough to prepare basic meals or cook a dinner. It is in the outskirts, but the commute to the city centre is rather quick. It looks like the bathrooms are cleaned every day. Overall, I recommend this place.

We booked a private room with our own bathroom for this trip, and we also paid for the hostel to supply bedsheets and towels rather than bring our own (this was inexpensive and just more convenient). Very simple but very comfortable place, the beds were comfy and the room was clean. A little bit small, but for a short stay it did the job nicely. No soaps included in the bathroom, but there was a fan in the main room and a TV with both English and Swedish channels. (Reception appeared to sell soaps & toiletries if needed) You can book a buffet breakfast quite cheaply which includes as much as you want of the basics; cereal, meats & cheeses with bread and knackebrot, coffee, tea, juice, etc. We did this for 2 days of our stay and enjoyed. I have to praise the staff in particular though; they were super helpful and friendly, and when I had some questions before the trip they were extremely quick to respond via email and ensure everything was prepared for us and we understood how everything worked. The hostel also offers unlimited free wifi, which was nice, as other inexpensive hotels I've stayed at typically offer only 30mins-1hr for free, with anything beyond that requiring payment. As for location, the hostel is just a couple minutes' walk away from a tram stop which can get you into the center of Gothenburg pretty quickly, with great connections to explore from there. I'd recommend downloading the Västtrafik app to make tram journeys super easy. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to stay again.

It was only one night, but it was an excellent Stay! Very welcoming and warm Service. We could even use the Iron for our Shirts. The toilets were good with hot water and nice music. The beds had been confortable. It is easy to acces from the City by tram. Recommand this Hostel! :) 🫶

I spent 4 nights in a private room at Kviberg Hostel on a recent trip to Gothenburg. I was very pleased - the room was clean, our late check-in was hassle free and the reception staff were very friendly/helpful. I liked the location - the no6 tram only takes about 10mins to city centre and we never seemed to wait for long for a tram to come. Would stay again.

4.5/5 Clean and quaint rooms. Lovely and helpful staff. Good location (20min from central station by tram) and great price. There’s a fully functional kitchen available to the guests as well as table tennis and board games. The walls are very thin so some nights it was hard to sleep through the night due to noisy neighbors. If I ever return to Gothenburg I’ll definitely stay here again though! :)

I stayed at Kviberg Vandrarhem several times during 2024. The hostel is exceptionally clean with a well resourced kitchen and is conveniently located to access central Gothenburg by tram. The hostel is family run and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend Kviberg Vandrarhem as somewhere to stay whilst in Gothenburg.
