Kvosin Downtown Hotel

What a stellar stay! The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind and greeted us warmly offering hot tea and coffee upon our arrival. Our room (#401) was the ENTIRE top floor of this charming boutique hotel. It included two private decks, 2 separate bedrooms, a living area, a full kitchenette with stovetop/fridge/dishwasher/dishes, and a 6-seat dining room table. It was perfect for our family of 4 (with our 2 adult children). The location couldn't have been better! You can easily access the City Hall #1 Bus Stop for the airport FlyBus and for the tour bus pick up and drop offs. The location is walkable to EVERYthing in downtown. No car needed. We would stay again in a heartbeat. The only teeny tiny note is that the 2nd bedroom where our sons stayed could have used the same thick 2nd layer of blackout curtains that we were so grateful to have in our main bedroom to block out the ever-present summer light - but we all had our own sleep masks so it was ok. Highly recommend!

Stayed here for four days in Reykjavik, the staff and Gina were very friendly! The lobby is exquisitely classy and they have a lot of great drinks and snacks to purchase for the room if needed. Check in was easy and it’s very secure! There is a bar and restaurant right next to lobby and they offer breakfast as well! Our room was very cozy with an excellent bed and bedding, some of the best sleeps I’ve had in a long time for sure! We opened the windows and pulled the blinds, really wanted a fan and asked and the front desk brought us one which was very kind and perfect! Made us very comfortable during our stay here! Had a beautiful kitchen with all you need, even a stove and built in fridge as well! Made it easy to have food and drinks on hand and prepare stuff when needed! The location is perfect too and you can walk to anything downtown which is especially handy if you go out for drinks as well. There is parking at front entrance which can be full but the P1 parking area is all near the hotel so you can easily find more if needed! We love coming to Iceland and will definitely stay here again! Loved it here! So glad we chose to stay here!

Such a cute boutique hotel. We stayed here prior to our cruise. The hotel’s location is perfect for walking to shopping and restaurants. It’s 10 minutes from the port. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. They have a great bar for drinks, and the breakfast is very good as well. I would stay here again if I came back.

We loved our hotel stay. The room was very large and beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful. The shower was strong and hot. The room was quiet. It took me a minute to find the refrigerator because it's in a drawer, but once we found it, it worked well. I would definitely stay there again.

This was our first visit to Reykjavik and the Kvosin did not disappoint. The hotel location was great with many nearby bars (The Drunk Rabbit, Lemmy's), restaurants (101 Bistro - fish and chips/ pizza), and a yummy food hall (Posthus Food Hall). The nearest bus stop is #1 (city hall); this is helpful to know if you book tours. ||||The hotel had a lovely view, with a surprisingly decent sized room (for European region). It's clean and modern. No place that we stayed has body lotion, so bring your own but the other toiletries were lovely. The breakfast was worth the price as the food was basic but fresh and tasty. More like a continental but with eggs, bacon, and pancakes too. ||||Staff was consistently friendly and resourceful. While we were only there for 3 nights, we would definitely stay at the Kvosin again.

Kvosin was a very welcoming place to stay. The service was excellent and we had a very positive experience. Jakob was an excellent host at the front desk and made our stay all the better with his excellent hospitality.

The rooms are comfortable and roomy. The hotel is located within walking distance to the shopping district and numerous great restaurants. The staff provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are spacious and updated! The location is very close and walkable to the shops and dining in town. No parking at the hotel, but there is a garage just a block away with plenty of parking. Grab the Parka app if you don’t have it as it can be used all around the island.
