16 Best Hotels in Iceland, From Rural Lodges to Reykjavik Boutiques | Condé Nast Traveler
"Housed in a historic downtown building, Kvosin blends urban and Nordic style into charismatic apartment suites that make it ideal for extended stays: renovated, modish interiors, helpful staff, and a central location steps from the Parliament, City Hall, and the old cathedral mean I can easily duck out for a craft beer, a gig, or a stroll around Tjörnin before returning to spacious rooms with swanky leather chairs and kitchenettes." - Erika Owen, James Taylor

Kvosin Downtown Hotel (Reykjavik, Iceland) 1 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels
"To focus on the ups and downs of the local travel scene to risk missing the point of Reykjavík entirely. A hotel like Kvosin is built to last. In one sense, it already has — the building that’s now home to Kvosin Downtown Hotel has stood on this site, alongside the Icelandic parliament, since 1900. And while its interiors have been continually updated, adding plenty of 20th-century modernist furnishings and more contemporary pieces, there’s something timeless about it — you get the sense this isn’t the sort of urban boutique hotel that’ll be refurbishing its rooms every season." - Tablet Hotels
We loved this hotel. We were lucky enough to stay in the ‘biggest room’ category - for our family of 4 - two queen beds in separate bedrooms plus a sofa bed if needed.||The hotel itself is in a historic building but has been completely renovated recently - it is really lovely inside with character and large spacious rooms and comfortable beds with nice linens.||The location of the hotel can’t be beaten - right next to the parliament and a beautiful square surrounded by a range of restaurants - from high end to casual, all within about 5 minutes walk. Bus stop 1 and 3 are close by for excursions.||Breakfast is lovely (largely continental but with some eggs/bacon/pancakes from a bain-Marie, a bit pricey at 24EUR - but actually this is a very good price for Iceland.||All the staff we met at the hotel were welcoming and friendly.||We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel seemed to tick all the boxes when we booked it & in reality it was perfect - central location; quality hotel; very comfortable and spacious accomodation ( perfect in our case for three adults but would have slept more); delicious breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. We couldn’t have asked for better. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and if we return to Reykjavík we would definitely stay here again.

The staff at Kvosin Downtown Hotel were incredible. Not only were they responsive to my pre-arrival email about transportation, they went above and beyond to help ensure our stay was perfect! The hotel is also well located to downtown and their breakfast is delicious.

Excellent location. Very spacious, clean room with the convenience of a kitchenette. There's a shared balcony in front of the room offering great views of the Northern Lights. Plenty of parking options (P2 and P3) nearby. Very helpful and friendly staff.||There's a church across the street that rings a bell every 15 minutes, but it's not disruptive. Normal city noise level.

Great location within easy walking distance to downtown. The room was clean and tidy, and it was very convenient to have a kitchenette. However, there wasn’t much storage space or places to hang coats, and the seating area around the kitchenette wasn’t quite enough for four people. Overall, a comfortable and well-located stay.
