Now, this you mustn’t miss. Take a nice stroll along the pier. Visit the different warehouses. There’s myriad of offerings for your little ones, your rebellious teens and even yourself. Evening stroll makes the heart fonder as the sunset will melt not just your hearts but also your wearies.

KW2, also known as Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No. 2, is a remarkable example of urban revitalization, transforming a historic port warehouse into a vibrant cultural and culinary destination. Originally constructed during the Japanese colonial period, this warehouse has been meticulously restored to preserve its historical essence while embracing modern functionality. Situated along Kaohsiung’s bustling harbor, KW2 offers visitors a unique blend of experiences. The ground floor hosts an array of boutique shops and art galleries, showcasing local artisans and providing a platform for Taiwan’s creative talents. As you ascend to the upper levels, a diverse selection of restaurants and cafés awaits, each offering panoramic views of the harbor—a perfect backdrop for both casual meals and special occasions.

A huge warehouse with tons of shops and some restaurants inside. Next to the port for ferry departure/ arrival. you may get ticket from the ticket centre or at the time when you get on the ferry.

Nice place to chill and buy souvenirs. This has somewhat the same vibe as The Red House in Taipei but bigger.

Lovely little food and shopping area. My friend and I came on a weekday during the day, so the ferries outside were running. We had a nice stroll around KW2, stopping for gelato, a quick meal, and a little shopping. The building is modern with plenty of seating to relax!

The warehouses were redesigned into a leisure park where you can come for a walk, have something to eat, shop for some cute stuff in the stores, or just watch the sea and the ships. I love this park for there are some amazing restaurants and special shops which you can spend some time here. Recommend you to come. :)

Very attractive place to shop, to eat, or to enjoy a moment of harbor view. Several garden around this old warehouse area with tropical themed. A lot of stores inside the house available for day or evening time. Broad harbor view sitting in front of house full of seats and stairs bring you to stay for nice happy hours.

Once a port store yard, this abandoned warehouse has been transformed into a business hub by the local Taiwanese apart from acting as a tourist attraction. I won't said is the best the local Kaohsiung has to offer by the concept of making used of worn-out buildings and restructuring it to offer the local community space to generate income is somewhat fascinating. The choices may be few as compared to mega shopping malls but it helps to offer locals a business opportunity and at the same time employment opportunities for the local community in a win win situation. Buy Taiwanese products without converting the currency to match the price is fairly acceptable but if you have the tendency to convert then it could favour or not in your favour depending on the exchange rate. The restructuring and the rebuilding has added a structural uniqueness making the blending a form of it's own engineering beauty. The ideal location of this Art pier manage to capture certain degree of ambiguity for tourist to enjoy and the picturesque views generates a photo stop over for tourist to enjoy the serenity it has to offer. Come give yourself a chance to savour the chance to enjoy a fusion of modern culture abroad.

Yelp
Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No.2 (KW2) was originally an old warehouse that has been transformed into a two-level shopping mall & opened its doors to the public in March 2018. KW2 is conveniently located right next to The Pier-2 Art Center so many visitors just explore both tourist destinations all at once. [How to get here]: A 7-minute walk from the Kaohsiung Hamasen (哈瑪星) Light Rail Station (C14/O1) or a 11-minute walk from the Kaohsiung MRT PengLai Pier-2 (駁二蓬萊) Light Rail Station (C13). [What to see here]: 1st Level features boutique and gift shops, ticket sales for private ferry rides, and various dining options. 2nd Level features few restaurants, an info center, and the KW2 Hostel. Additional outdoor activities include a white carousel and the KaoPort touring/retro train 高港小火車 (12 PM to 8 PM on weekday / 9 PM on weekends - dispatches every 20 to 30 minutes). [Food options]: Coffee, brewery, tea, fried chicken, noodle, hot pot, seafood & steak, and ice cream. [Ferry ride from Cultural Cruise 文化遊艇- no ticket sales on Wednesday]: Cultural Cruise offers ferry rides to several destinations: * Hongmaogang Cultural Park 紅毛港文化園區 (round trip ticket 500 NTD per adult + 99 NTD for admission): 40-minute one-way voyage at 4:10 PM (extra trips at 10:40 AM and 2:40 PM on weekends). * The British Consulate at Takow 打狗英國領事館文化園區 (200 NTD for one-way ticket or 300 NTD for round-trip ticket): 20-minute one-way voyage at 1:50 PM. * Round Trip Ferry Tour (300 NTD for round-trip): 50-minute round trip at 1:50 PM, 2:50 PM, with an extra trip at 5:40 PM on weekends. * Cijin 旗津 (80 NTD per adult): 20-minute one-way voyages at 1:00 PM and every 30 minutes until 4:30 PM on weekdays, extended to 7:30 PM on weekends. Note: Ferry services to Cijin are not available on Tuesdays from KW2. Visitors who want to visit on a Tuesday must take the ferry from Gushan Ferry Pier Station (鼓山輪渡站) instead. [Conclusion]: I like the variety of options here and there's even a large private parking lot which is something you don't see too often in Taiwan.

Yelp
This warehouse was renovated and revamped a few years ago. It is now a destination for tourism, specifically food and shopping. You will find many excellent restaurants and snack shops here, as well as items from unique vendors. One section also sells name brand shoes and casual excursion gear. There are many ice cream and dessert options to choose from. The outdoor boardwalk lights up at night and is worth seeing. Kid friendly and clean!

Yelp
If you're on an excursion to Cajun Island, this is where you catch the ferry. Even if you're not on a tour, make some time to visit here for lunch because the aroma from thee gourmet foods they are making are intoxicating. We got to watch them roast dry shredded pork for their baked goods. Lots of little restaurants worth visiting if you have the time and some cool little shops were you can get high end traveler type paraphernalia. There's even a white carousel out front for your Instagram influencer needs. Fun place to visit.

Yelp
Opened in March 2018, KW2 is an old warehouse (over 100 years old) newly renovated for new dining, shopping, and cultural experience. Aside from coffee shops and restaurants, there are boutiques selling local crafts, gifts, and desserts. At times there are special seminars and workshops. PROS: - Relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the good view of the harbor, indoors and outdoors - Spacious and modern architecture/decor - Ferry cruise to CiJin for NT$15-40 - Strong AC!!! Right by Pier 2, KW2 is a good place to spend a lazy afternoon, especially on a hot day!
