Kwa Maritane Bush lodge

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this luxury bush lodge. Truely deserving awards for best hotel and lodge. Huge restaurant overlooking a waterbody and jungle which gives u the view of animals and birds. Food was amazing although we had to ask for veg Indian meals as we were travelling with kids. They were kind enough to make without any arguments. Had wine tasting in evening.The property is huge and next to gate for safari. They arrange cantor safari with breakfast or high tea in the jungle. Cherry on the cake is a secret tunnel leading to a hide which overlooks waterbody in the jungle. You can watch from the TV channel in ur room. Overall excellent experience.

Despite the freezing cold weather, we had a fantastic time. Everything from the games drives and every staff member in and around the lodge was excellent. The family room was a bed and a sleeper couch, which was OK for the 2 days we were there, but I would have preferred a bigger room for my sons to be more comfortable. Next time I will double check before booking.

We had a wonderful stay the resort was beautiful and tranquil . The atmosphere was peaceful, the service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. A special shout out to Mrs. K at the pancake station, not only were the pancakes amazing, but she also made for great conversation. Highly recommend!||||

Absolutely loved my visit to the restaurant at Kea Maritane Game Lodge! The environment was peaceful and beautifully set up with an open view of the bush. I was lucky enough to see some game animals come to drink at the nearby waterhole while enjoying my meal—such a special touch you don’t get anywhere else. The food was fresh and delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu. The service was also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and very professional. The whole experience felt relaxed but still really well done. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone visiting the Sun City or Pilanesburg or just looking for a unique, nature-filled dining experience.

A brilliant get away in all respects. The suites are great and well - equipped and the game is amazing. Been going here for 30 yrs, that says a lot!

We had a great time at the lodge. There was lots of activities to choose from for my kids. The food was great and lots of options. The chefs were very helpful with my food allergies showing me what I am able to eat.

No need for a game drive, you can sit on your patio and see all the animals. A relaxing, quiet and peaceful place. Highly recommended and worth the money.

This revamped property is good value for money for families. The room we stayed in was newly painted and had new furniture and linen - so it was nicer than when we stayed at this property before. Our game drive guide, Bongani, was knowledgeable and told us interesting facts. However, two toddlers from two different families on our vehicle ruined our game drive with their continual crying and non-stop talking, which the parents made no effort to stop. The children walked around when the vehicle was moving, putting themselves at risk of injury - and they made so much noise next to fighting elephants that they put us all at risk. I would not go on another game drive at this property unless there were only grown children and adults on the vehicle. As this cannot be guaranteed, and as the property is more interested in filling seats than providing a pleasant experience, I would not recommend a game drive at Kaw Maritane to adults or foreigners because your chances of having a compromised experience are high.
