Kwang Chow Chinese Dive

We want Chinese food, especially Dim Sum, after more than 10 days on our cruise ship. Restaurante Kwang Chow appears in our Google search results, with good reviews and pictures of Dim Sum. We decided to have our lunch there. The restaurant wasn’t very busy when we arrived. We have to put together three tables to accommodate our group of ten people. The waitress was not very helpful. Fortunately, another Chinese lady (I don’t know if she is an employee or owner) came to help and took our order with some recommendations. We ordered some Chinese dishes and Dim Sum. The food is just okay. But still better than some of my experiences in other countries. I don’t like the service we received from their waitress. But the Chinese lady was very friendly and helpful. The dining room is good but they’re not ready to accommodate a bigger group. They have many two or four-person tables but no big table in the dining room.

Great tradicional Chinese restaurant ind the old bairro chino. The prices are good the the servings are big. Really good deal. It is worth visiting if you are looking to eat something different then the local cuisine. They give free water and tea.

I went here because Anthony Bourdain went here and it is still open. I wanted duck but they didn’t have any (more?) that day. Settled on egg rolls, fried rice and ribs with black beans sauce. Egg rolls 3.5/5 Fried rice 3.5/5 Ribs with black beans sauce 5/5 Ribs were chopped into small bits and very good. They also give you free hot tea, which one would expect from a Chinese restaurant. All in all a good meal at a decent price.

Food was average but authentic. Bourdain dined here, and we got our Chinese fix at a very reasonable price too (the serving size was generous)! Even connected with the staff when I whipped out my Cantonese.

Very delicious Chinese food! If you stay in the area, this place is one of the must tries.

The food was absolutely amazing!! Really authentic Cantonese food (from a Cantonese American). Portions are more than just huge- It’s gigantic. Really good value!! I can’t wait to come back. In the front they have the classic Cantonese bbq and a bakery. Overall, I got 5 entree, 2 cha siu bao and a soda for $67! That’s an absolute bargain.

Very clean, full of local families, simple huge portions!

Ordered the large noodles (chow fun) and it is HUGE. Less than $10 USD and easily three portions of food. We took some of it back for dinner. The noodles were flavourful and delicious. The bun was delicious, big and fluffy! $0.80, bargain. Highly recommend. This is an authentic Chinese restaurant.
