Stay was nice, room was good, although a mini fridge and a coffee maker would’ve been nice. Casino is what is to be expected. The negative is a big one. Mother’s Day brunch. We didn’t make a reservation and were seated at the bar. Fine, we are happy there. However, we sat for 45 minutes listening to the one sever/bartender tell everyone trying to walk in that people with reservations will be taken care of first. We didn’t even get a water in that 45 minutes. The food was inedible. Dehydrated scrambled eggs, weird horrible food. Expensive for what felt like a continental breakfast. Don’t get the brunch. Other than that, beautiful location with a nice trail along the lake. Recommend everything but the restaurant.

We arrived tired and hungry after a long day on the road. First, we went to the restaurant (which is really just a bar with pub food) at 8 pm - it closes at 9 pm. The girl behind the bar told us that it was too late to order food! We had to find fast food in Polson. We get back to the hotel and my husband jumps in the shower only to discover that there are no towels in the room. I had to go to the front desk to ask for some towels to be brought to the room. Finally, the next morning I’m ready for some coffee, but all three dispensers were empty and there was not an employee in sight. Except for having an amazing view (which our room did NOT have), this is the worst hotel (and the most expensive) we’ve had during our trip so far. Would not recommend.

Rented a small conference room for a meeting. It was nicely set up and ready when we arrived. Had a beautiful view of the lake - more specifically of Polson Bay. So, it's a beautiful setting. The staff was very helpful thru the whole process. After our meeting we had dinner outside on the patio. Food was delicious.. but it took awhile for it to come out. We weren't in a hurry and had a beautiful view, and friends to talk with... so no problem. The prime rib special was excellent!

Enjoyed our stay. Carla is very nice and helpful. The rooms could use some deep cleaning. Security got right on the issue and for the most part we did not have a lot of issues with noisy neighbors.

Google
Friendly and attentive staff! Beds were comfortable (i like a softer bed) but rooms need upgrading and a deeeeeep clean (thus the reason for 4star) . Met alot of awesome people staying here. Felt almost like a big group of friends I've never met! Didn't have the chance to eat here but heard food was good. Thank you for the hospitality! 😊

Google
There resturant in casino is bad, got cold food cost too much.staff forgot our order and overcharged for what we got.we ended up throwing the food out. A sandwich, and small salad $45.00..yeah I dont recommend eating here but at the local pizza place stageline..there food came hot and reasonable. Pictures of Salad was $8 sandwich $20, we had 2 drinks. From hotel.sandwich was suppose to be prime rib NOT.. chopped up mess...salad was a dinner salad not worthy of the hefty price tag $8 bucks..

Google
Went into the casino a very overcrowded. And I don't mean overcrowded by people I mean overcrowded by games there were too many games too many chairs just crammed in there with no thought for how people would get around through their. They're really was not that many good games. I did not have fun.

We stayed at this casino/hotel in 2022 for our 27th anniversary and it was AMAZING, staff, room, food and casino was well worth the 6 hour drive. We came back for our 30th and was a little disappointed in the restaurant, food and service was not the best. Both times we ate there the food was on the cold side and service was not that great. We also got overcharged for our appetizers. The hotel staff was amazing along with housekeeping and security. Always willing to go above and beyond. Carla and the GM at the front desk absolutely made us feel at home and always with a smile. Besides the 2 restaurant experiences it was a great 4 days..

Yelp
Positives: Beautiful view, great and updated room, pet friendly, balcony in room, casino bartenders are nice, security is ready to help. Negatives: EVERYTHING ELSE!! My boyfriend and I booked this place via Expedia and it had great reviews. We only stayed for two nights but it was too much. Our first night we had someone follow us from the casino area all the way back to the rooms and to our car. It was very terrifying and we were very shaken due to this experience. I told my boyfriend we should leave then but it was 1 am on New Years and there was nowhere we could go plus they already charged the card. The plus to this is security took it very seriously and escorted the male off the property or moved him to somewhere else. The casino is very nice but filled with cigarette smoke. The bartenders are very very nice and great at drinks. We are used to a minimum of 25 cents or 50 cents. Money went fast. The restaurant if you want to call it that is definitely a bar. The night we went to get drinks someone had walked out on them and we had to wait 10 min to hear anything from anyone which isn't bad but then the attitude of the I guess manager was horrible. She just glared at us and didn't even tell us what was going on, the security gentleman is the one who told us that someone walked out. They charge hospitality tax EACH day. Then inform you there is a refundable charge for pets but then don't refund it. The charge is per day mind you. We also witnessed multiple staff members drinking on the clock. Which should've been our first red flag but we did end up staying. Honestly it was one of the worst experiences on a vacation I've ever experienced. It was supposed to be us getting away from the drama at home and relaxing but it turned into a nightmare and we had to pay for it (over $300 mind you).

Yelp
THIS IS THE NASTIEST HOTEL IVE EVER SEEN OR EVEN HEARD ABOUT. Appalling. Disgusting. NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!! We stayed here thinking oh cool, a casino, right on the lake, could be a vibe...yeah if your vibe is scary ppl, terrible service, and obviously health hazards. We checked in and at first glance understood this place was in desperate need of a facelift or demo...however we did not realize how accurate we were until we actually got to our room. It was dark when we arrived to our first room... so we did not realize all of the "fun" we would have until we returned to our room around midnight after the pre wedding party we attended. When we returned, the children that were still awake, next-door were ao loud and literally (trying to) coming through our connecting room....clearly their parents were down in the casino. Speaking of The casino- it was small, cramped, smoky, and somehow topped out at $2 slot machines. Only penny slots- we played for 30 seconds and left. Horrible. Back to the room- where we noticed hair on the sheets in our FIRST room. We call the front desk, maybe 3 or 4 times between the wild animals next to us, to the hairy sheets, to the Pepsi that was dispensed from the vending machine after we requested Aquafina- Vending machine man: "clearly they won't notice the Pepsi isnt Aquafina" We didn't mention the dirt/food/drink stains inside the fridge because at that point it was low on the list just to sleep. We request a room move the next day because we are exhausted from traveling- we move down the hall to a non connecting room, where it was even dirtier. All pictures attached are from the SECOND room we move to. I am not surprised there were only housekeeping carts and no actual housekeepers in the halls or rooms, because no one was actually cleaning these rooms. Don't worry about bringing your own snacks to this hotel there are plenty in the room already for you We never tried the bar/grille place because it looked just as gross just even walking by.... Out of desperation We finally decided to call around and moved to the Polson Inn across the street where Jessica at the front desk was beyond accommodating and kind. She showed us 2 rooms before we finally chose one of their newly renovated king rooms overlooking the lake. Everyone here has been kind and best yet the room isn't hazardous to my health. They should demolish Kwataqnuk Casino, and MAYBE try again.

Arnie M.

Yelp
Stayed Kwataqnuk while here from out of state to close on a property on Flathead Lake and the resort, casino, hotel accommodations were fantastic including the live music / band that performed Friday night at their marina. Also a shout out to all staff including manager Gordon & front desk host Nick , thank you across the board !!!

Kari Z.

Yelp
The casino was fun, kinda busy. We decided to eat dinner there, too. Food was good, service was ok. The girl was young and maybe new but I ordered a blue moon to drink and she said we only have that in the casino so I said ok, you don't have a beer/wine selection on your menu and she glanced around like she was looking for one (I guess) but never said anything..really weird, I thought she would list the beers they had, nope, she just stared at me. It was awkward. So I ordered water. Like I said maybe she's new, but go ask someone if you don't know.

Leslie K.

Yelp
They charge you $20 for a resort fee and it's not even a resort! Yeah and you can't even get into the restaurant or even be recognized by the waitress. Restaurant staff is terrible!

Diane W.

Yelp
The front desk staff were caring, friendly and authentic. They easily took care of a room upgrade when our space wasn't enough for our group. The follow up care was attentive when we had some special requests. They even recommended we use the covered parking when snow was in the forecast. Our view of the lake and the mountains were breathtaking. The restaurant/bar was kid friendly and had good food. The Indian Fry Bread Taco is delicious. The facility is well put together with just enough amenities including small gym, pool, hot tub and sauna. I will be staying again.

Tanya M.

Yelp
Outdated and Lacking Customer Service. Luggage cart was wonky and difficult to maneuver to the registration desk. Once I checked, the gal directed me to the elevator but didn't mention I had to travel down the lower level to another elevator. I brought my dogs and had to settle for a parking lot view. The room was outdated, everything was smudged with fingerprints, the room smelled. I was so unhappy, my husband got our room switched to a room with a view. We knew we may need to checkout the next morning if the room was booked. I got a call from a gal who said "I have to get out of the room ". Housekeeping needed to clean it. WTF! I ordered oatmeal and toast and as the waitress brought my dish, she dropped my toast and was fondling my toast with her dirty hands at the restaurant. WTF! Polson is a cute town, but will never go back to that hotel...plus they made me sign a pet disclosure and when I got into the room, the curtain was riped!

Mark H.

Yelp
Great location right on the lake. Lovely patio area. The room was in need of a good cleaning. Sheets and towels were fine so not an issue but lots of stains on furniture, months of dusting and general maintenance cleaning not done.

Laurie O.

Yelp
It has the potential of being fantastic. Very outdated. The view was amazing as we had a lake room. Everything about this place could use a deep cleaning! The staff was amazing and kind. The restaurant menu is very small. We stayed for two nights. We probably would not make this a destination Place again unless it was updated. I would always pay more for cleanliness !

Terra S.

Yelp
The room was really nice for the $$ - and, they were pet friendly, which was a big draw for us. Everything was clean and seemed there may have been a recent remodel... it was all fresh. The bathroom was huge with a big shower and a mirror that was adaptable for nightlight to brightlight. There was a Keurig with 4 coffees for the morning. We did get a bleu burger and sweet potato fries there, and it was delicious and 1 burger was more than enough for 2 ! Also, there's a pizza parlor across the street that made a great pie! Downside, since we were at the end of the building (because of the pet/dog) there was a lot of activity coming and going all night - some sketchy looking characters too. I felt comfortable tho, knowing that when I took my pitbull out to do his business, nobody messed with me. ha

Jacky B.

Yelp
Don't Stay Here!! It is not a resort setting, the video on the their website is deceiving. The view is the best and only plus! When I parked to go into the place, a drunk man from the car next to me waddled next me slobbering asking me if I'm staying " here". Once inside overwhelmed with smoke from cigarettes, I Checked in. This was suppose to be my birthday vacation. Using their luggage cart, no one to help you, no customer service, I struggled to get luggage into elevator. A man and woman covered in tattoos and bandanna got out of the elevator I thought I was going to be robbed. No security guard or workers around the lobby or hotel that I could see. Once we got to the room top floor was suppose to be a king deluxe water front room, the front door lock would not bolt lock, looked like the door had been broken into before. Room smelled, there was mold on the shower. The small balcony was so loud from the large generators under our room. Dead bugs on the window it was horrible. We were so tired from the drive and checked in after 6 pm. Going to their " restaurant" which was like a small grill, only one server, running out of certain foods, the wine tasted watered down, and there were drunk people loud and annoying. The bathroom downstairs had plastic sharpie dispensers full of hypodermic needles!! Are you serious, this was one of the most unsafe, worst places I have stayed. They could do so much with this place. Next morning I asked to check out, we were suppose to stay 3 more days. Manager was not there, I called back twice and left a message about our stay. Madeline at the front desk very helpful. Gordon the manager never called me back and he charged me 290.00 for the horrible night we were there from 630 pm Checked out 9 am. I'm going to call back yet again I should not be charged!! The casino is like a closet " that small" one security guard I finally saw outside smoking. The food was horrible and no workers to be seen. If you want service you're on your own. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I wanted to warn others. We came hundreds of miles to Montana and thank god we found other nice places to stay and enjoy.

Josh G.

Yelp
Having Resort in your name means there are expectations, like it being actually nice. It's a casino with a hotel attached. I say that because the rooms stink of cigarettes, stains everywhere. I mean, I feel like they don't care cause someone will buy the whole "RESORT" thing and stay here only to be horrified and what they find, random hand prints, stained carpet. Internet is severely throttled. See speedtest for details, that was the fastest speed of 5 tests.

Donna J.

Yelp
We Loved this resort! The location was Fantastic.....right on Flathead lake! We had a lake view, which was Beautiful!! The restaurant was Great...both indoor & especially outdoors!! The restaurant staff was So Nice & friendly!! We asked if we could stay for awhile & play cribbage; not only did they say "No problem", but they would check on us every so often & even ask Who was winning.....Great staff! We were the most impressed with the resort mgr Gordon!! We had some problems with our reservation (thru a 3rd party), and Gordon went Above & Beyond of help accommodate us!! He helped us personally move our belongings from 1 room to another room, just so we could stay on the same floor & face the lake! What a Great Guy Gordon!! Dave & Donna

Charles D.

Yelp
Drugs being dealt on the casino floor, passed out drunk in the bathroom, and security is sitting on a chair at the front door.... If you don't like cigarette smoke, you won't like this hotel. Every inch of it reeks of stale cigarette smoke. It took forever to get a drink, but the restaurant's food was decent. Service was terribly slow. Over an hour to get drinks, apps, and salads. Casino staff ignored us and didn't even offer to get us a drink until my wife won $1,500.00. After that, you would have thought we were VIP celebrities. Floor manager, security, and the bartender were our new best friends. We cashed out and went back to our room to escape the overwhelming pressure to tip everyone for basically doing nothing. Our room was ok, but it smelled like cigarette smoke and was quite dusty. View was amazing. Overall, the experience was pretty poor. We decided we will not be staying here again.

Justin K.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Great prices, clean rooms, amazing bathroom design. Spacious and a phenomenal view of the lake. The staff is on it and I would recommend anyone looking to stay here. This is my second stay and I will continue to stay here when I'm in the area.

Rhea K.

Yelp
Terrible experience. Neighbors were loud, slamming doors all night. Walls are paper thin. Security was not much help. After security showed up the neighbors still kept being loud. Dinner was not great. The prime rib was cold and over done. Will not stay here again.

Page H.

Yelp
Ate here for lunch yesterday and it was delicious! Our server Lauryn was amazing! We sat outside soaking up some sun while enjoying our lunch. They have a beautiful patio area with an incredible view of Flathead Lake. We started with poppers and mozzarella sticks. Both were yummy! I got the deluxe chicken Caesar salad. It was one of the best salads I have had. We are definitely going back!

Alex C.

Yelp
This place has gone significantly down hill in the past 5 years. 1. There was a sign at the front desk at 11 am that said "20 minute break" the time most people were trying to check out. There were 20 people in the lobby. 2.We went down to the bar and grill and the waitress told us we had to sit outside, which was fine because of Covid but she was rude about it and then she walked past us outside 3 times in 20 minutes and never came to our table, we ended up ordering pizza from Mac River. 3.There didn't seem to be any servers in the casino to serve drinks until I hit a jackpot and then 10 people showed up to see if they could help. 4. They no longer let you rent a boat lift or boat slip overnight. It could be such a great place if they seemed to care a little bit. The gas pump attendants and room service were great. They were the only ones who seems to have any pride in the place or their jobs. I would really like to see this place go back to a nice vacation spot. It was like they didn't want us to spend our money.

Nianna L.

Yelp
First experience: We had reservations for 7/7. We went to check in at 3pm, as stated in the email we received, and were told we couldn't check in until 4pm. The gal at the front desk said she would call as soon as our room was ready. We hung out in Big Arm as long as we could. Unfortunately, we could not wait around because we had engagement photos scheduled in West Glacier at 5pm. We did not receive a call from front desk until 8:45pm, and they forfeited our reservation as the office closed at 9pm. We were so disappointed as we had tried checking in earlier and were unable to accommodate us or communicate key details. Second experience: The location was perfect for our wedding in Big Arm. On 7/7, we tried to book all of the cabins in person at the front office for our wedding the following summer. The lady told us we needed to call sales at the Kwataqnuk. After doing so, she told us we could not book until she met with her manager regarding the prices for the following season. Once we received the info, we decided to book all 16 cabins for our guests. They confirmed our booking. About 2 weeks later, they called to tell me they double booked our reservation and decided to give it to the other guests even though we had booked first! To say, "Big Arm resort is ran unprofessionally" is a complete understatement. Mignon Harris and Alyssa Moran are the most corrupt and inept employees. They are incompetent and incapable of doing their jobs and responsible for creating chaos on one of the most important weekends of our lives. They are not willing to communicate with one another nor offer any sort of resolution or solution for their mistakes.

Nashyra T.

Yelp
130$ for a deluxe king suite that has a private balcony and lake view. Very luxurious at a budget price. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Tyler G.

Yelp
Amazing view of the lake. We got a suite and it was great! Highly recommend this Over Airbnb's in the area

Shanna P.

Yelp
We reserved a stay for our family in July and we ended up checking out shortly after arrival. The lobby smells strongly of smoke. The room was smelly, dirty, and buggy. The lake view was not as advertised. Their seemed to be more security than hotel employees. The front desk employee was maxed beyond any human's capabilities and it took over half an hour of waiting in line just to check out. We actually thought we were reserving a nice "resort". It wasn't that at all. And even the "daily" boat cruise didn't operate Mon-Weds. Faced with staying one night and checking out early; driving back to Missoula in the dark; or finding other accommodations in Polson - we chose to find other accommodations. I don't like to post bad reviews (any person or place could have a bad day) but this hotel's website makes it look like a luxurious vacation destination. I would not want anyone else to arrive with their family and discover what we did. I do think maybe the rooms in the annex building could be better.

Carrie A.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant and casino, walked in a man came up to us said it would be a 1-2 hour wait in restaurants/bar walked away and the place was empty. So rude! Not a good first impression wont be back!

Cat G.

Yelp
The food is awesome and the pool is great to swim in my siblings and mom are having a great time and the casino is awesome! I recommend staying here for a vacation

Chris A.

Yelp
I attended a wedding and stayed at this resort. I tried to switch rooms because of 100s of dead mosquitos on the window sill, and after 10-20 minutes talking to the desk, they finally understood and offered to have someone "clean it up". I just don't understand why they couldn't clean it in the first place before we checked in. Next, while walking out of the hotel, an employee yelled at me for not having a mask, and flared her arms like she was giving me a scolding, as if I was 5. Another issue I had, security guards came to my room and stated they were going to kick us out for smoking a hookah. Instead, they charged me $200 in "damages" that they have to fix. I'm not an expert, but shouldn't you go to the room and see what needs to be fixed or repaired? There's nothing that they will do different for the "smoking" damages, and those 100s of dead mosquitos will likely still be on that window sill. Anyways, don't promote "non-smoking" when the entire lobby smells like the wretched stench of cigarettes and including the hallways, then tell me "you can smell the smoking" and charge me an extra $200. I never write reviews on anything but this is ridiculous. I will never stay here again, and if anyone is considering staying here, don't.

Janet S.

Yelp
For our 20th wedding anniversary, we booked a king suite for 2 nights recently. The rooms were nice, at first glance, but they were not clean. There was what looked like meat blood in a drawer in the fridge, the counter in the kitchen was very sticky, and, when moving the small table in-between the sofa & chair, I planted my hand directly on soft chewed gum stuck on the bottom of the table edge! The carpet and upholstery were filthy - my feet were black after walking around on the carpet. The main casino was very smoky, small, and the machines were stingy. The smoke-free casinos were the size of closets and uncomfortable. But the main issue was when we got back to our room the second night, it had not been cleaned! I called the front desk person who snappily informed that, due to COVID, they didn't clean guests rooms. When I said no one told us, she said it was on the website, at the front desk, and in our room. I checked our room the website and there was nothing mentioned about our rooms not getting a daily cleaning. When I asked her if someone at least could bring us new towels, since our used towels were on the floor near the toilet, she refused. I would not stay there again if they paid me!,

Patriot T.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst experience EVER! Mask Nazis is an understatement!! The rudest and most poorly trained staff I have ever had to deal with! They way this place treated our group was so ridiculous, we literally packed up, got our money refunded and went to Red Lion and had a great time! ZERO stars! Terrible place!!

Nathan B.

Yelp
Had an excellent stay. Rooms were nice amenities were fine and great view of the lake. It is a small casino and restaurant but that's sometimes nice!

Merelle V.

Yelp
Worst time at a resort I have ever had. Was charged twice for a room and lied to. Then was put into a room that was smaller then what I reserved. Can't get ahold of any managers to talk to. Horrible

Diane C.

Yelp
We were extremely disappointed in the level of service at a cost of $500.00 for two days. We have stayed here at least six times and always had a very nice complementary breakfast. We were not offered even a continental breakfast. The restaurant which was supposed to open at 8:00 did not even open till 9:00 on Saturday. The pool was closed and the staff at the front desk were very indifferent to our disappointment. We will not be staying here ever again.

Christian U.

Yelp
The views of the lake are breathtaking from the rooms of this resort. Good price. Very nice rooms. Very polite and accommodating staff. We had a mishap with the door lock one night but they got it fixed and took good care of us. I highly recommend staying here.

Sam B.

Yelp
Worst place I've ever stayed. The lake and hotel are beautiful but the staff was just awful. I was involved in a wedding this weekend there and we couldn't enjoy ourselves because the staff kept harassing all of us including the bride and good, on their wedding day! Never going back to this place and definitely won't recommend it to anyone.

Karolina Z.

Yelp
Food is ok. Service is ok. The view is spectacular. Cool microbrews for $3.50. Come here for a cold one and the view.

MICHELE S.

Yelp
My family and I were majorly disappointed with our stay here. I will be telling everyone to NOT STAY HERE. If I can give 0 stars I would. When we booked they promised free breakfast and a pool. When we got there the pool was out of service, the front desk clerk denied the free breakfast when we have a screen shot of your website. There were major plumbing issues in the rooms. The kids were majorly disappointed. They even have the nerve to charge me a resort fee. No pool so what resort? The security is atrocious. I almost got attacked by questionable women loitering in your 1st floor bathroom around 7 pm. I will never be staying with them again and will be posting my review in every major travel site.

Erin S.

Yelp
I have to give this place 5 stars for: Price - $130 for a lakefront room...cheap! Location - Right on Flathead Lake with a view of the mountains in the distance. Access to great swimming areas too Dog friendly - No one seemed to mind that our 3 dogs were barking incessantly when we went out to eat Restaurant with view - Always a plus in my book! Awesome Indian fry bread too Casino - OK, the casino was a little lame with mostly penny slots but it seemed pretty popular with the hotel guests I wish this place wasn't a 2 day drive away. It takes a while to get there, then you never want to leave!

Tara H.

Yelp
We had a really decent stay at the KwaTaqNuk. We stayed in the "family suite," which consisted of 3 rooms that connect: one king bedroom, a living room/kitchen in the center, and a double queen room. Both bedrooms had their own bathrooms, which were very updated with rainfall showers and e-mirrors. Yes, you could connect your i-pod to the mirror in the king room, and both mirrors had touch-controls. Everything was very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and we could control the temperature in each room. We had a nice view of the lake, with a small balcony off of each room. Yes there are insects, but if you're staying on a lake in summer, you have to expect that. The bar had a very nice outdoor seating area with multiple firepits and a bar available on the lakeside patio. They could have used a second bartender, but the one who was there was quick and very competent. The only things that caused slight dissatisfaction were that the halls were very stuffy and smelled a little, and the suite kitchen had no utensils, plates, corkscrew, or anything other than a Keurig. However, the restaurant was very willing to give us plates and utensils and once we were in the rooms, the temperature and smell were fine. Our rooms were on the second floor at the end of the hallway next to the lake and away from the lounge/casino, so it was very quiet and peaceful. Each person received a ticket to the breakfast buffet, which had cheese omelets, french toast and sausage in addition to all the normal "continental breakfast" items you could want. We were very satisfied and did not experience any of the problems that some of the other reviews listed. The staff that we interacted with (the front desk several times, restaurant, outside bar) were very friendly and helpful. We will stay at the KwaTaqNuk again.

Monica B.

Yelp
The beautiful view from the lakefront rooms and the reasonable price is what bumped this review up from a 3-star to a 4-star review. Those two things alone make it worth a return visit. I had a decent dinner in the restaurant and the service was pretty good. On the other hand, when you first walk in there is a very strong smell of smoke that comes out of the casino and also from people leaving the casino while still smoking. Not a positive first impression. I also got the impression from my interactions with several staff members that they just didn't care. I tried to book a large conference at this resort and it took many phone calls and prompting to get to the contract stage. Lastly, I requested a wake-up call for 6:00 a.m. but received one at 1:00 a.m. which made it almost impossible to go back to sleep. I told the front desk about it the next day and they did discount my room by 10% but I was still exhausted from lack of sleep.

Yelp
Great location. Hotel is in good repair. This hotel is not comparable to other Best Western Plus hotels that we've used. The criteria used by BW to rate their member properties is very vague, but I don't feel that this property qualifies for the BW+ designation. The breakfast is not complimentary. There is a fairly pricey restaurant on the bottom floor. I was not happy with my first-floor room. All bathroom sounds from higher floors can be heard, as the soundproofing is very poor. I did not hear sounds from adjacent rooms. The cleaning solution used by Housekeeping had a very strong and disagreeable odor. It is similar to that associated with cheap hotels, and is different from other BW+ properties that we've used. Most guests are directed to use the lower-level unpaved parking lot. The lot is in poor repair and has numerous large chuckholes which fill with water from rain. Some are large enough to be given pond names. I reserved my room through BW reservations. My confirmation e-mail said that the price included "all taxes and fees". Absolutely not true! At check-out, my bill included a "Resort Fee". The clerk said that it was a tax that they were required to charge. After researching the matter on the state Dept. of Revenue website, I determined that Polson is NOT a city included in the Montana State resort tax plan. However, there is a 7% state lodging tax, which equaled the amount that I was charged -- in addition to the amount quoted in my reservation confirmation e-mail. When I called BW Customer Service to complain, I was told that they couldn't possibly know of every tax for lodging, and that I should understand that "all taxes and fees" doesn't really mean what it says. As this is is a state-wide tax that is described on the state DOR website, it doesn't speak well for BW's management. I am a retired airline pilot. In my career, I spent about 2/3 of my life in hotels, and am very familiar with many aspects of the industry. My wife and I have generally been very happy with the BW brand, particularly the BW Plus ones. We've noticed much more consistence among the properties in the past few years. This one experience won't sour me on the BW brand, but it will certainly cause me to be much more cautious and less trusting of it in the future.

Yelp
First the good stuff: the location is fantastic. It overlooks Flathead Lake. It has two nice and clean rooms. Refrigerator microwave in room, The so so stuff: Breakfast buffet was ten dollars for everyone over the age of five. The bad stuff: I called the front desk to tell them I was missing a page from my guest service directory. They called pack and said that the only other copy was locked in the managers office and that things were all fucked up. Very surprising and unprofessional to hear the f word from hotel staff. Overall though....I liked the place and would recommend it. Didn't. Go in the casino

Yelp
I have stayed at this property three times now and will definitely be back again! I always request a room on the West end of the property (because it is the quietest). The Nook Restaurant has a really decent breakfast and the resort has a nice casino, bar and the people working there are always polite and helpful. Definitely a place to watch a beautiful sunrise!!! :-)

Yelp
Absolute horrible customer service! The only reason this place gets any business is because of their location and view of the lake. Don't plan on getting any sleep either, the walls are paper-thin. Unless you want to pay $250 for an updated bathroom, avoid at all costs.

Yelp
Breakfast is awful. Minimal offerings. Eggs are terrible. Find a diner in town. Hotel is nice.

Yelp
This hotel is very noisy all night long. People coming and going. A lot of meth activity. They have remodeled 2 times because of meth cooking. I recommend not staying at this hotel.

Yelp
You can tell the hotel is going through renovations and trying to update. The rooms were great. Comfortable beds, plenty of storage and a nice, modern-decor bathroom. We were upset the pool was "undergoing maintenance" and we weren't told when we made the reservation, but it was hot enough to take the kids out for a swim off the docks in Flathead Lake. It's a quiet town and parts of the hotel were not nice but the clean and newly remodeled rooms made up for most of that.

Yelp
For a Rez resort is say it's pretty good. Just happy to see a restaurant back in here. For awhile there wasn't one and for the area this hotel is the best around. Plus the casino is a great commodity with catering to smokers and non smokers. I'm a spoiled New Yorker not used to smoking in any buildings anymore lol.

Yelp
We stopped on for happy hour after golfing. The drinks were good, not weak, and cheap. They don't have food for happy hour though. But the view of flathead lake and the mission mountains is incredible.

Yelp
We have stayed here twice both in the Suites, most recently in the super luxurious Casino King Suite. I cannot understand the one star or negative reviews.....of course the lobby smells like smoke - it is a casino! We have never had a problem here. Our suite was spectacular both times. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and efficient. We only ate at the restaurant once and the service was very slow....however this is Montana, and we were on vacation. We come here to get away from the fast paced rat race of LA. Cherry Bar B Que next door was referred to us by the front desk staff. The food was mouth watering! We will always stay here when our travels bring us this way.

Yelp
Very disappointed with our stay. Stayed early August, specifically because of the indoor pool. The pool was closed for maintenance and repair. It looked like they were remodeling, which must have been planned. At a seasonal "resort", which should be used loosely, at this establishment, you typically don't close the pool for renovation during prime tourist season. We asked when checking in at the front desk, if they had a voucher for the local pool, and she gave us a card with the address and told us it was $5 to get in. May think of brushing up on the customer service skills. The lobby and the hallways smelled so bad of cigarette smoke and alcohol, we were disgusted. The staff that cleaned the room did a good job, and was the best part of the place. The restaurant had a sign that said it should open at 8 am. But at 10am, it was still not open. The main focus, and apparently the money maker is the casino, which seemed to be occupied mostly by locals based on the license plates on the vehicles taking all of the parking. Was disappointed when returning at night, multiple times, seeing the same two children sleeping on the couches in the lobby, their parents were apparently in the casino. I would not ever stay here again, would recommend anyone stay AWAY, and it really reflected on the community poorly. We should have cut our losses and went to Bigfork, or Kalispell.

Yelp
Fourth summer in a row the pool is "closed for remodeling", even though the pool area looks the exact same as it did four years ago. I don't think the pool is ever open. Hotel relies on location being on Flathead Lake to make up for their shortcomings. Admittedly, it is a great location with a great deck/bar/patio area in back where you can have a drink and lunch (3 Star food) with gorgeous views. Rooms are good enough. Still, it's the best hotel in Polson (because of so few options) due to its location.
