Excellent food and great service. On my first visit, I ordered a lamb kati roll ($6) and it was ready in about five minutes. In that time, I read all the newspaper images on the cart, so I was expecting something amazing — and that's what I got. The roll had seasoned, succulent, tender lamb and fresh vegetables in roti. The wrap was so full that it didn't stay closed, so I ended up eating it all with a fork. It was so good that I went back a few days later and got a lamb rice platter ($12). I was surprised the vendor remembered me because we didn't speak much on my first visit. Even though it was 3 a.m., he got me chatting. Between the friendliness and the food, I'm sure this place has lots of return customers. Anyway, the food — wonderful smells erupted when I opened the box. The meat was grilled but stayed tender and juicy. The sauce coated the vegetables but it was easy to mix it into the rice and lamb. It was phenomenal. This cart is great for lunch or dinner or to satisfy a late-night/early-morning craving.

I was surprised and suspicious because it’s a street vendor… but this did not disappoint! Our family order the lamb gyro, chicken gyro, vegetable over rice and some mini pitas. It was delicious and so cheap for being right off Time Square. This vendor is small but mighty!

Wow!!! I can’t wait to come back!! I got the lamb Kati roll. I heard this place has real authentic lamb and I was surprised to see the guy slab some fresh raw meat on the grill and cook it fresh for me after I ordered!! Usually the street carts have a ton of pre cooked meat waiting for customers. I was so impressed just by that but also the taste of the Kati roll was heavenly!! So good!! But next time I’m going to find a place to sit down and eat. It’s so hard to eat on the go! Very messy but he provided enough napkins so that’s good. Enjoy!

Great alternative to Adel’s and definitely better than the Halal Guys. Both the guys in front of me and behind seem to be regulars so I guess the food here is quite popular. Order the lamb over rice and the portions are generously. The guy preparing the food is always friendly and happy and checks with you on how much sauce you want and if you like it spicy. Would definitely be back again.

Delicious food! My favorites are tiger shrimp platter, lamb rice platter, and lamb shrimp combo.

Wow wow wow wow holy moly me oh my…. This place slaps brother. It’s not everyday you get a chicken and lamb combo over rice and it feels healthy. This one does. Delicious and fresh tasting Ingredients with a refreshing tziki (spelled that wrong I think) pairs wonderfully. Also the owner is so polite and kind and can answer any questions you may have. Tons of vegetarian options as well and all at an affordable price. Official review king score: 10 billion halal out of 10 billion halal. Review king out!

I have to say, I used to frequent this place for lunch back when I worked in the city years ago, and the long lines were a testament to its popularity. Recently, after many years, I decided to make a late-night visit, and it turned out to be an absolute delight! The street food I had there was hands down the best I've ever tasted. The chicken and lamb combo was simply phenomenal, and the sauce was the real star of the show. It had the perfect balance—neither too overwhelming nor too light in flavor. It complemented the chicken and lamb brilliantly, creating the most mouthwatering combination. My taste buds were in heaven!

The food was tasty and the quantity was more than enough for one person. Very reasonable price and good food.

Yelp
Nestled among the usual fast-food spots, this hidden gem has become our favorite destination for gyros. The food here stands out for its lightness and balanced flavors, far from the typical spice-heavy, masala-laden gyros you often find. Each bite is a burst of authentic flavor, with a special touch that sets it apart - my wife and I are particularly obsessed with the secret dressing, which adds a unique twist to every meal. What we love most is how the food leaves you satisfied without the typical heaviness or food coma that often follows fast food. Instead, it's refreshing and energizing - perfect for those who want something delicious but not overbearing. The experience is made even better by the charismatic and chatty Naseer Bhai, the proud Bangladeshi owner. He runs the place with the warmth of a neighborhood eatery, making everyone feel welcome while sharing stories with his customers. His passion for both the food and his culture shines through in every aspect.

Yelp
Returned to give them a shot at redemption. I was pretty unhappy with a previous visit but I decided to revisit today after some time away. It was good to see the regular lunch staffer who actually recognized me and mentioned it's been a while. Went with a chicken and lamb combo today instead of my usual lamb platter with extra meat. I wanted to try the chicken again and it remains solid. Dark meat, decent flavor. Lamb is gamey and a little dry but not as fatty and gristly as it had been previously. They made the platter spicy today. I could handle it but usually they ask and I tell them to not make it spicy. I'll make sure to speak up next time. It was nice to be recognized and welcomed with a smile but I felt bad explaining my infrequent patronage was a result of remote work, which is not entirely true. The other person that mans the cart during off peak hours really left a bad impression. That said, I've added them back to my lunch rotation as long as it's the regular lunch guy.

Yelp
It is a green cart and I've been here a few times. I've come during the week for lunch and it is great that I never have to wait too long. The food here is simple and delicious. I usually get a platter over rice and really enjoy that they marinate cubed white meat chicken and lamb. I think the quality and price are great. The platter comes with a little salad, really just lettuce, and homemade homemade tzatziki sauce and jalapeño sauce. The jalapeño sauce is very spicy, but I always ask for a little because it is nice and acidic. If you get a combo, you get a few pieces of falafel. The falafel is a little dry and could be crispier. I would definitely recommend getting extra veggies on the side to make it a more complete meal. I believe there are 2 different people that working at this cart and was drawn by the different articles and photos of famous chefs, like Bobby Flay, that were posted on the cart. One of the guys that works in the cart is very enthusiastic and super nice. The other guy is straightforward, but not curt. I like that the food is served very quickly and can quickly walk back to my office if needed.

Yelp
How to choose which food truck to eat? I'm not sure but I found this place via Reddit so I decided to give it a try. This place is significantly more expensive that other food trucks selling similar things in the area, but I was persistent. There was one extremely friendly guys working the booth and it took less than 7 minutes for my food to be ready after ordering. I ordered the Chicken Lamb Combo and I immediately noticed that the rice was not yellow like that of other food carts. The chicken and lamb itself was also significantly better quality as you could still taste the gamey-ness of the meats. I will say, eating this almost made me feel healthy as the dish felt like it was flavored more naturally than by whatever sauce they usually offer. If you're looking for a healthier alternative to street food carts chicken and rice dishes, Kwik Meal is a great option.

Yelp
One of the less greasier halal carts and the sauce was pretty dank. The biryani was pretty filling.

Yelp
Allow me to tell you a story of how a boy found happiness and a new primary Grubhub choice. It was 9 PM on a cold Monday winter night. The boy grumpily finished the day's work. Unsatisfied with the mediocre Thai food for lunch, the boy thought it nice to grab a late night snack. Adel's Famous Halal was next to the boy's office, but even on a late Monday night, the line was disgustingly long. The boy wanted a quick meal and to go to bed to repeat the cycle of corporate slavery - the ludicrous NYC rent won't pay itself. Across the street, a few blocks down, a lineless truck flashing its accolades of newspaper features catches his eye. Swiftly, the boy did his due diligence of "Kwik Meal" and notes the general consensus: very good lamb, declining portions and quantitative value. The boy thought to himself, "It probably won't be as good as Adel's but I don't have time for this sh*t. I'm just going to dap up this food cart guy, ask to take a few pictures for a food review, and have him load up this order to in turn milk out a good rating." The boy looks at the menu in front of the truck and was pleasantly surprised by the price. $6 for a Lamb Kofti spoke to him that night. After some pleasant conversation, the boy acquires a beautifully stuffed Kofti. It was love at first bite. The lamb was by far the most organic and natural lamb from a food cart the boy has ever had. The texture felt like tender yet mildly firm steak rather than mushy meatballs. The seasoning was fantastic. The creamy tzatziki and spicy sauce, along with the lettuce, blends all the flavors of an ideal halal cart experience together, tied together with a warm, fluffy crisp of the grilled flatbread. The bite was a simple synergy of halal street food perfection. "Wow. That is delicious. Say, do you do food delivery by any chance?" "Ya we got Grubhub. UberEats, Doordash, everything." Immediately, the boy recalls a college memory. Crossed beyond measure, the boy and his boys Grubhubbed nearly $200 of Taco Bell. It was a fun night, but the boy imagined what that night could have been like had they gotten the same value of Kwik Meal instead. It was at that moment that he knew he leveled the f*ck up. The food delivery experience would never be the same for the boy again. The boy heads back home, thrilled with the discovery of this life-changing food cart. It was tempting for the boy to gatekeep this transcendental knowledge, but that night, the boy decided to be a hero. The boy should have been sleeping for a 5:30 wake-up to gym and work but at midnight, the boy passionately writes a Yelp Review to help out his newfound friend and Manhattan gem, before going to bed dreaming of the night he Grubhubs 20 of these Kati Rolls. Thank you, Kwik Meal, for feeding a boy's tummy and soul, for being a glimmer of happiness and hope in this overpriced and tax-oppressive city. And to you, the dear reader, thank you for indulging in this review. And please, remember to dap up those who feed you. It will make both their day and yours, and perhaps, you may get more than you expect.

Yelp
I always knew this place existed, but I never tried it until recently. I'm glad I did. It's a bit different than your usual chicken and rice dish from the food carts. The rice isn't yellow, it's white and the chicken has a unique flavor. The white sauce is also served separately from the chicken and rice. The hot sauce is green and it's not too spicy. I'm not sure if it actually is or not, but the food seems to be a healthier version of your run of the mill chicken and rice. Nonetheless the meal is tasty and bit different, but just as good, if not better than the other food carts.

Yelp
Solid spot for a cheap, kwik midtown lunch. The guy in the truck was very friendly, he apologized profusely for not starting my online-order meal even though it wasn't really that late and I didn't mind. Good customer service and customer-centric which was appreciated. Lamb pita had nice chunks of lamb in it and tasted really good, nice spices and balanced with the veggies. White sauce was solid. Falafel pita was also good. Falafel was slightly dry and was chopped up but not bad, I enjoyed it.

Yelp
Fantastic street food. Lamb Pita was delicious and ordering spicy had a nice level of heat that complemented the flavor. Great quick bite before hitting up a broadway show!

Yelp
The problem with looking for NYC to return to pre-pandemic energy and times is we have a memory of what life was like before. I frequented Kwik Meal, given it was near my office AND it was one of only a few Halal carts that served the usual chicken and lamb over rice with salad the right way and I recall there was no skimping. So I was near Kwik today and stopped by to retrieve a fond food memory, but it was less than I recall... literally. What distinguished Kwik from all others, even the few Halal carts I held in highest street cred, was the quality of its meat, which I am pleased to state is still there, just less of it, far less, skimping. Kwik has meat that has real texture and grain, not all ground up into something barely resembling chicken or lamb. Kwick seems to acquire its meat from somewhere else, even though the City requires all carts to get whatever ingredients, meat and veggies from the same place. Please correct me if this is no longer true. Somehow Kwik's street meat looks and tastes like it could come from any grocer a person would shop. Its spices are also very distinct from the rest. Even the rice is better and the veggies seem fresher and chunkier. Is it inflation? The prices are higher, at least three dollars more and there is considerably less in that clear plastic folding container. It used to be filled completely and that is one of the reasons I would recommend Kwik to out of towners who wanted to get the best of street meat offered in NYC. It's still higher quality and distinct in flavor, served with welcoming grace, but now about one third less in volume, hence the subtraction of one star.

Yelp
I love this meal cart and it's one of my favorite lunch spots in Midtown. I was so excited to come by and order the lamb because it's been a while since I was in NYC. Kwik Meal has always been a lunch staple. I'd highly recommend ordering the lamb and nothing else. It comes with real meat that's marinated in papaya (I think) to make it super soft and tender. A lot of the other meal carts use cheap fake ground meat. I've also tried the salmon which was cooked perfectly and very moist, but the Lamb is where it's at. The line isn't too bad and the wait is maybe 5-10 minutes from ordering.

Yelp
Halal carts are plentiful in midtown Manhattan, but there's none quite like Kwik Meal. They're open til the wee hours of the morning (4a!) and everything - I mean EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious. Favorites: chicken and lamb combo (comes with falafel!), chicken Kati roll, and chicken biryani. Their lamb is the definition of succulent, well-seasoned, flavorful. That tzatziki sauce mmmmphhh can't get enough of it. Excellent service. No complaints.
google avatar

Zachary H.

Yelp
Still the best Kati Roll in America and you only have to go to Manhattan to get it. Hell of a lot closer than Kolkata in West Bengal where they originate. The lamb is something extra special. If you get one you'll wish you had two. Nice service, convenient location, and the best damn Kati Roll!
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Delicious. I wanted a quick meal after watching Hamilton, and this hit the spot. I got a chicken kati roll and it was very flavorful. There was a good chunk of chicken, and the flavors really meshed well together.

Arthur T.

Yelp
Bought Lamb kati roll at 12:45 today, 1/31/24. Guy charged me $7.00. It says $6.00 on display. Thats not the worst part. Meat was spoiled and sparse, lettuce stale and looked wilted and sad. Very disappointed. The cook was on the younger side. No excuse. Take pride in giving quality to your customers. Throw away the spoiled meat. I tasted the rot.

Yelp
Kwik deserves all my 5 stars coz it has a special place. Close to work, its always been my go to lunch option when I cannot decide what to get. The Falafel platter and wrap is so delicious, one or the best carts in NY City. The green hot sauce is so good, always ask for extra of the hot sauce and white sauce which is subtle and creamy. Affordable and tasty.

Yelp
Food is good but a bit expensive now which I completely understand. But if you're gonna raise the prices a lot, at least keep the food the exact same quality including containers. The initial large containers were excellent. Please bring back the same containers hence the 3 stars.

Yelp
Well shit, I was walking around checking all the "closed" signs and chained up doors beneath the bigger "open 24 hour" signs and getting really depressed about this decrepit, rotting city when I quit and started walking towards home. I came across a few street carts (at 4am) here and there setting up their eggs or pastries and what have you but I didn't have cash and my phone was dead. All I had was a card and these guys typically don't take cards (possibly zelle if you're lucky but like I said my phone was D.E.D. Dead) Then! I strolled passed a guy behind his empty/dead looking cart called Kwik Meal but he had a card machine sitting there. I turned around after my split indecision and asked. I told him to make me whatever's easiest for him so he picked a lamb Kati roll and if I'm being honest, that's the thing I really would have wanted anyway! So it already seemed a bit like kismet but I was Leary of how I was the only guy on the street (shocking I know because this city doesn't give a damn about the plague of homeless, crack, and garbage strewn about the most popular touristy destination in the world) but the signs on his cart of him and Bobby Flay sorta reassured my actual excitement for some tasty street-meat out of mostly boredom and frustration that I paid to go to work and then decided to take the offer to go home after popping an adderall (Hence being awake and writing a review in the pitch black while my girlfriend is trying to sleep) so now that you get a sense that my decisions and mood are a bit all over the place, I assure you that my opinion of the food is a bit more clear. Now here's where the struggle comes in- The Kati Roll was hot and smelled great so I opened it up and it looked real friggen good too! (More like a Kati taco which is good because if it was actually wrapped up it would be too small for $5.50 but this was a good size) Lots of parenthesis in this review but that's not the struggle; that was the dilemma of what to do - not being starving and not having power to my device, should I gobble it down and just enjoy a meal for a change or should I scour the earth for a slot to stick my USB of only to snag a "Kwik Shot" of this Kwik Meal Kati Roll??? Well, I snuck a bite of one side and walked to three different NYC Link boxed to try to charge my phone a bit before devouring this delicious food-cart food. So you're welcome because it's frustrating finding, testing, and using those damn station in this annoying and smelly area of the city (parentheses alert: at least it's mostly vacant at that hour other than a few threatening homeless types and a few wanna-be threatening twats) but I did it for you guys and my Instagram followers; I snagged a few pictures and scurried home where I now sit writing this long winded review. Sorry. All this aside, I'm not used to getting real, solid lamb. What a dope surprise! Sincerely, @fork.the.world
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
Delicious! I got the lamb over rice. All of the sauces involved were outstanding with a really generous helping of lamb for only $11. This place cannot be best for quality and value, and I was advised they do remain open 24/7.

Yelp
We decided to try out this cart after seeing their cart plastered with newspaper articles showing what seemed like a kitchen battle with Bobby Flay. My husband ordered the Combo Pita. The pita was stuffed with chicken and lamb with lettuce and onions which was exciting to see, but the flavors were lacking compared to other NY halal food carts, so that was a disappointment. Overall a decent meal.

Yelp
I've been to NYC many times for work trips, but this was the first time I decided to try the halal carts - as I am no longer with that company and cannot expense meals!! Jokes aside, I love trying all kinds of food - from street vendors to bougie joints - and figured it was time to satisfy my curiosity around all the halal carts I've seen while wandering around Chelsea and Midtown. I started with a no-name cart next to my hotel (Row Hotel on 8th and 45th), which had solid fare, but seemed a little pricey (no prices listed, so perhaps they charged me the tourist price?)... so I quickly decided to do some research online to see what the locals had to say. And lo and behold, so glad I did. I had the chicken and lamb salad combo, and only have 3 words for it - SO. MUCH. MEAT. I mean honestly, I wouldn't even call it a salad; I'd call it "meat with lettuce garnish", haha! Not that I'm complaining... for $12, color me impressed. The meat was good quality too. Nice chunks of both lamb and chicken. A little heavy (but I'm from California where we love our salads, so I'm bound to say that), but it was really nice to have an option that didn't have rice or a pita (that I usually end up throwing out anyway). Flavor was good - more jalapeno-y than other halal carts I've had... almost reminiscent of salsa. I would absolutely recommend Kwik Meal! Perfect for a late night snack, especially if you're craving protein. Wish we had something like this in SF!

Yelp
Rating out of of 10: 8.5 Don't get me wrong, but this place is heaven. Lamb over rice was $10. You get actual chunks vs shaved gyro meat. I think for the meat quality: 8.5/10 lamb is big and tender but you gotta chew your drunk food. For the bang for you buck? I mean yes I would go back but boyfriend thinks otherwise. Def gotta have more rice or substance in my halal than a half full halal. Hot and white sauce needed more flavor by otherwise you just come here for the meat. Would I come back? Once in awhile
google avatar

Zach B.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious every single time. The Kati roll is the best in the city. Lamb or chicken can't go wrong
google avatar

Anusha R.

Yelp
Decent food. He seemed to be crumbling under pressure though. He kept a lot of people waiting and absolutely skipped sequence with some waiting. He really seemed to not deal with the pressure very well and many customers just left angry. Food was okay...I stopped by for a quick bite in the crazy snow blizzard in December and had to try the New York biryani...it was just chicken and tomato gravy mixed with rice. Not even close to a good biryani but maybe his other items would've been a better choice. The truck is at the corner of a busy street so mostly takeaway.

Sonali N.

Yelp
Stayed in Time Square and were desperately looking for a Food Truck without the run of the mill fare. We were directed to this Bangladeshi owned one, a short walk from our hotel. He had the most delicious Tilapia prep, spicy and well cooked. He custom made a fried raice for us with lamb and chicken and shrimp. Had a great time chatting with the owner while he prepared our food. Really added to our NY experience.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
6.8/10 Chicken lamb combo: decent flavor, very tender, a good number of super fatty parts, but again, decent flavor; white sauce seemed radish/cream cheese/sour cream base, which was unique, but not necessary better or worse; spicy sauce seemed like the green salsa more than a red spicy sauce, but was decent; overall, a bit underwhelming and not filling at all, but decent flavor
google avatar

Amir Sohel C.

Yelp
If you have already tried out some street food cart throughout NYC, check it out fast. Different flavours, kinda unique taste than your typical street food cart. Liked their polao rice, juicy lamb and authentic homemade sauces. If you like spicy enough, mention about green sauce (hot) you will enjoy it. Only downside I would say, fully overpriced than any other street food cart considering food quantity and quality. So thats why giving 4 star!
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
Went here since it was listed one of the top halal carts in NYC. Turn out although it's not the best, it is still good for quality. At this cart, they use the white basmati rice, not the yellow or orange rice used in other places and they actually provide a salad with dressing compared to iceberg at other places. Relative to other halal carts, it has larger portions, but even though their dark meat chicken is very juicy, the chicken over rice is best described as a chicken fajita over rice, as it lacks the charm of NYC halal carts. Although their quality is top-notch, this strays from the usual platters of chicken/gyro over rice from the carts.
google avatar

Joanna T.

Yelp
This is such a long overdue review, but well deserved-he was so courteous, generous, and the food was just So. Good. You really can't get any better than this-please support this business, and I would absolutely go back again if I were visiting or in town.

Yelp
I'm telling you to try the chicken briyani- delicious! Topped with an egg! I also tried the lamb over rice, which was good too, but the chicken briyani was so flavorful!

Farzeen R.

Yelp
Uncooked meat and I don't mean the meat wasn't well done - I mean the meat was cold and we truly thought most of it was completely raw (Ordered through delivery app)

Here N.

Yelp
One of the best tasting lamb I've eaten recently. Very fresh, not overly spiced, accommodates any special requests. Not to mention the humble courteous unpretentious owner
google avatar

Richard D.

Yelp
One of the better halal carts in the area. I usually get the chicken kati rolls and if i want to splurge, I'll do lamb. It's a bit pricey, but I think the cost is worth it since you can tell it came from an animal instead of a giant roll of mystery gyro meat. The homemade jalapeno sauce is also delish.
google avatar

Kitty H.

Yelp
This is an as seen on Tv food truck. It posted all the newspaper mentions and visitors from food network including Bobby Flay. We usually eat here when we come to the city, which is not often. Portion was generous, fresh and very flavorful. However, this is not the case today. No line when we got there on a Saturday night. We bought : lamb over rice $9. And chicken, lamb, shrimp combo rice platter with falafel $12.50. To our disappointment, portion is smaller than before. One order can still keep you full but it was more generous before. Lamb was chewy, dry and bland. Definitely nothing compared to before. I was going to give 2 stars but extra star earned by friendly service. Probably won't come back. I can get better quality meat in my own neighborhood food truck. Tip: Pay cash. Credit card accepted but add tax.

Yelp
Tired of waiting on line for adels? I was. Found this place via seamless nearby and was surprised by the authentic South Asian offerings for a cart; much more than just lamb, chicken, and rice. So I gave them a shot; we seduced each other, and then they came home with me. Food was fuego and they can adjust the spice level for you if you're a big baby. If you want classic Arab-American style halal food go to adels. If you have a more refined palate but still wanna hit the craving + more flavor and options, give this place a try. They gotta change the name tho. Idk wtf they're thinking. I know they're serving gas, but this ain't a gas station.

Yelp
The Kwik Meal Cart is such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I say that like it's a new establishment, but no they've been there for years and with good reason. Not only is their food wonderfully priced, but it tastes amazing! I'm a firm believer in the idea that some of the best food is street food. They even accept credit cards! I was able to pay $5 for a yummy, filling falafel sandwich and who can complain about that? It's definitely a bit of a messy endeavor to eat, so I suggest getting a fork.
google avatar

Ian R.

Yelp
Great service, great taste, and great price! Got the chicken pita sandwich and it was great! Only $5 and was very fresh. Yogurt dressing was great. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
I've been to the spot pre-corona for some roti rolls and for some lamb and rice recently. Both occasions were pretty good. I would say it's almost on par with Sammy's Halal or Halal Guys in terms of street halal in NYC. I'd recommend giving their cart/truck a try.
google avatar

Dave F.

Yelp
Just to note, the cart is plastered with the name Kwik meal, but it appears they have two carts. A lot of reviews under Kwik gourmet are for the Kwik meal cart. Easy to see why there is confusion. This is for the cart at 45 and 6. I was there around 1135 on a Friday. It was cool to read the stories plastered all over the cart while I waited about ten minutes for my food. Great story, but overall, I thought the hype wasn't worth it for the $11 chicken lamb and falafel combo. (Price is a dollar higher for credit card.) Falafel balls were extremely small, like a quarter of what you'd get at a halal cart. Maybe it was because I was first in line but the chicken and lamb were not all that great. Slightly tough. Had I not asked for it, I would have gotten no green jalapeño sauce. The sauce was not very spicy. The white tzatziki sauce was good, but not enough to make up for the medium portion, lack of flavor, and high cost. I will stick to the halal trucks I already know and rely on for street meat.

Yelp
Great spot for quick, fresh and delicious food. Tried out the chicken roll, lamb gyro, chicken biryani and chili chicken. Ask for spicy if you like it hot, won't be disappointed! Good portion size.

Yelp
Pronounced "Quick Meal" (because it took me forever to that out), this cart is pretty decent. I got the Lamb Rice Platter which came with a side salad, white sauce, and onions and peppers if you want them in your platter. He will also ask you if you want it spicy which I opted for it. The food is greasy, but that's expected for a food cart. I probably would ask for it to be more spicy next time as I like it spicy. The white sauce is magical.

Yelp
We were in NY four years ago and had tried Kwik Meal. The food was so memorable we wanted to eat here again this time when we were here for a medical conference. So last night we walked a block from our hotel to Kwik Meal and got chicken over rice. It was even better than last time, if that's possible. The chicken is tender, flavorful and done just right. The rice is delicious and the sauces, vegetables are the prefect addition. This is by far the best cart food in the area. It's on another level compared to the other places we tried.

Yelp
The best in New York City. I tried everything there and taste better than in some fancy restaurants nearby.

Yelp
I've heard great things about this cart, so finally gave it a try. I went with a chicken and lamb combo over rice, which is not listed on the menu, but is what I always get at a Halal cart. The chicken was made fresh on the griddle and was served piping hot. It was nice having big chunks of real chicken instead of something more shredded or cut into small pieces. The chicken was also marinated very well and tasted fantastic. The lamb was nice, but didn't stand out. The rice was really good. It was light and fluffy and had a really nice flavor from the spices its steamed with. The entree came with two falafel, which was the weak point of the dish. They should have just left them off the plate. They were these two small falafels that were really dense and dry and lacked much flavor at all. There was some white sauce that seemed more like a yogurt-based sauce. I had asked for the dish to be spicy, but I guess the person forgot since there was no spiciness to the meal at all. There was some lettuce and some sort of sauce over it which was tangy and a nice contrast to the proteins. I added a can of Coke and my total came to $12. I was surprised by the price since I'm used to pay around $7 for a chicken and lamb over rice plate. I guess they charged me for a chicken over rice and then added a portion of lamb for an additional charge instead of just giving me half and half. I'm subtracting a star for the price as well as the falafels. Next time, I'll have to try the lamb biryani.

Yelp
As a native New Yorker, halal carts have become a staple of my diet. I've visited halal carts that are terrible, meh, okay, and unforgettable. Kwik Meal is unforgettable. Many halal carts can be forgettable, but the food and Kwik Meal is not one of them. Having actual chunks of lamb and not the processed stuff other carts have was a game-changer. It's hard to compete with a place with such excellent quality. One of the things that grabbed my attention was their menu. It has a nice aesthetic and has everything organized into neat little sections (Mini Eats, Sandwiches, Platters, Healthy Eats, etc.). You can get a lot of variety here. We came here as a large group and still received our orders quickly (hence Kwik Meal). This is one of the top halal carts in the city, and if I had to choose to come back to only one, it would be Kwik Meal.

Yelp
Decided to try this food truck after some recommendations. I tried the lamb over rice.. Lamb was really good, salad was really fresh, I have to say this is the best lamb I've had in a while, you can taste the freshness and the spices that it is marinated in, all of this for $9, can't beat it. For the price this is probably the best meal you can get. Will definitely be back next time im in NYC.

Yelp
Acceptable for a kwik (see what I did there?) and cheap lunch in midtown. Nothing here will blow you away, but it is decent enough for the price. I've had the chicken biryani and chicken kati rolls, both of which were well seasoned. You can tell ingredients aren't the best quality though.
