This is the best monastery I have ever visited. The crazy part is that it's free to enter. For the quantity of art, amazing mosaics, and beauty, this place would cost a fortune to enter anywhere else in the world. If you are not far, I would highly recommend visiting this place before it will be paid to enter. To be honest, even if it was paid to enter, it would be worth it as this monastery is absolutely gorgeous. I didn't take many pictures on my phone. I was taking it all in with my eyes. Also, if you decide to visit, consider at least 30 min as it is massive and it has a lot of different walls/rooms. The monastery closes at 6 pm and it has plenty of car park outside.

One of the most beautiful places I have visited- very vibrant and soulful, must visit if you are roaming Cyprus. Make sure to go to the top of the mountain as well at the tomb of Makarios, it’s very close and also amazingly built architecture and icons. Free entrance.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to go. Photos aren’t allowed in the church itself. We read that women had to cover shoulders and knees but other people didn’t stick to this and were still allowed in. Having said that I wouldn’t risk it if I was going again. There are some little souvenir shops around the car park and there’s a buffet you can get lunch in for €15 which is all you can eat.

Did not go via an excursion this time so had as long as we wanted. Managed to see so much more at our leisure, it is an amazing place. The church is out of this world, definitely worth the journey. The little market outside the complex is nice with a lot of different things on offer.

If you are up in the mountains, you should visit this place. Amazing decorations in a peaceful location. The amount of gold and silver on show is obscene, but the history is incredible. There is a small shop to buy souvenirs and other stuff made by the monks. ( Don't buy the schnapps,it's like rocket fuel) There is an ice-cream stall with coffee outside the monastery. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful place. Everything is in perfect shape and very clean. Absolutely worth a visit I'm not religious but this place is stunning. We visited early October and the place was almost empty. Enough parking available.

Absolutely stunning, just on arrival you realise this is a special place. We walked around and everything about the Monastery was beautiful. Without doubt you must visit if you are in the Troodos!

Absolutely fantatastic place to visit. The Church, which you can not photograph, is breathtaking. It's worth paying the 5 Euros to go into the museum also. The remainder of the Monastery, which is spotlessly clean and very well cared for, is free to enter. If you are in the Troodos area, a must visit!
