Kyle of Tongue Hostel & Campsite

Didn't stay here, but stopped on our way to Durness. Had a lovely pot of tea & sausage bap. Lovely area, beautiful views & spotlessly clean. The service was brilliant, very friendly, brought our tea & food out to us. Would definitely come here again. Thank you to the lovely young lady who served us, & the chat, sorry I didn't get your name.

Friendly staff made to feel very welcome. Beautiful pitch near highland cows. Clean facilities and plenty of them. Nice to have the option of a cafe on site along with a small shop. Definitely one of the best camp sites I’ve stayed on during my Scotland trip.

Absolutely wonderful. Very welcoming. Everything you could possibly want, very clean and tidy. Great value for money! The largest shower rooms we’ve ever seen with endless hot water, used the washing machine and dryer too. (The midges are very annoying though 😬🫣, as to be expected, only going to get worse as we head down the west side). Thank you for our lovely stay.

Excellent place to stay over during your travels around Scotland. We travelled by campervan and the facilities were brilliant. The cleanliness and organisation of the campsite was excellent with plenty space. The site was dog friendly and plenty space for children to play. Nice walk just a stones throw away. 😀

Stopped on the way through on NC500 . What a fantastic site right next to the kyle of tongue. Stephen and carol Mackay are fantastically friendly and helpful. Great stop for breakfast sandwiches and coffee in the hotel. We tried to stay the night before but they were fully booked. As i waited to go in, there were many people leaving with takeaway breakfasts . Says it all.

Wonderful peaceful location. The facilities are modern and clean. It has a well stocked shop. The views from the site are stunning. We ate breakfast in the hostel cafe. I would recommend the breakfast rolls.

What a view. We camped right next to the water and enjoyed a stunning sunset. ||A lovely place to stop over in a van Good, clean toilet and shower facilities. ||Breakfast rolls available to buy from 9am which is an added treat.||Surrounded by the beauty of the countryside we’d definitely recommend the site.

Very clean and tidy site offering good facilities and a well stocked shop. Superb showers help you start or end the day feeling very refreshed. Not huge amount to do locally so more a stopping off point but one to be recommended as some of the views are wonderful - also lovely but apparently lonely highland cow in the adjoining field - hope he gets a friend!
