Kyle of Tongue Hostel & Campsite

One of the best campsites we’ve been to: 1. Toilets - nice, bright, very clean 2. Shower facilities - very clean, spacious and adequate hooks for everything 3. Dish washing area - sinks were big! They should be! I would rate this campsite the one with the best toilets and shower facilities. Highly recommended. However, the coffee from the cafe wasn’t great. Hope they can improve on that :)

A beautiful spot. Fresh breeze kept the midges away; overlooking a beautiful estuary with turquoise water, golden beaches. Easy walks in the area. Spotless ablutions. Well stocked shop for essentials and nice little cafe for filter coffee and locally baked treats. Well kept facilities all round. We’ll be back!

Stayed on the campsite - very clean with friendly staff and excellent cafe plus adjacent shop. All facilities spotless. Stunning views towards Ben Hope, Ben Loyal and Tongue Bay. Only heads up - tent pegs need extra effort to get into the firm ground, so be prepared to give them a good push! Highly recommended for exploring the far north Highlands.

Beautiful views from this campsite, we had a lovely time. Facilities are nice and clean and the showers were my favourite campsite showers I have ever used! Also has a shop with drinks and everything you may need

Great site perfect for our motor home. Lovely location highly recommend. Perfect for our 500 experience. Good facilities including shop and cafe. Dogs were welcome and lovely walks nearby. Site quite and the showers etc were clean and modern.

Stopped off for night of camping at the Tongue caravan & campsite. We arrived at 8pm. We'd paid in advance. Set up tent etc & were in bed by 10pm. Fantastic toilet block and impeccably clean. In the morning they do breakfast rolls and hot drinks which was helpful. Not pricey either. Shop had some great local produce at very good prices. We loved this place and the view in the morning too. Thanks everybody who works here

Our tour stopped here for a bathroom and snack break. The facilities were very clean. I don't think I could find any campsite in the US this clean. The cafe had a nice options of food and drinks. A few of us ended up getting the toffee cake and enjoyed it outside looking at the gorgeous view.

Excellent facilities for camping with a tent. Clean and modern toilet block with lovely hot showers with ample changing space. Outside wash area with two large sinks. Washing line and picnic tables. Laundry room with microwave, kettle and toaster - a tired campers dream! No electricity points, and note laundry room with these appliances is closed ~9pm-9am. Generously stocked shop on site. Tent pitch choices are either over the road in tree area - secluded and sheltered but can be alive with midges. Alternatively pitch up in open area in front of facilities block with gorgeous views across the Kyle to Ben Loyal and Ben Hope.
