This is a very nice small, volunteer-run museum about local history. It tells you about the life in Kyle of Lochalsh and the surrounding area before and after the railway was build. The exhibition includes old photographs and objects, as well as testimonies from locals and model ships and trains.
If you are planning on boarding a train in Kyle, I suggest getting to the station 30mn earlier to visit the museum. They also sell hot drinks, snacks, postcards, souvenirs and so on. It's worth supporting them so they can expand their collections and keep the local history alive!
