What a great hotel!! I'm always concerned about choosing a place to stay, hoping I made the right decision. I did with The Blossom Kyoto! While the room was relatively small it had everything we needed and wanted including a super shower, electrical plugs on both sides of the bed, toiletries, a bidet, comfortable bed and pillows, and good location. Best of all was the service. Such kind, attentive, helpful people. And the entryway was very special. To reach the lobby one walked through a serene outdoor walkway filled with Japanese gardens that were misted, not watered, daily.

Possibly one of my favorite hotels ever stayed. Beautiful space. Room is spacious and clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good and the included buffet breakfast was excellent. It is about a 7 min walk from the nearest subway station and also walking distance to the tree-lined canal and restaurants. We had a short stay in Kyoto and didn’t get to use all the amenities but just coming in to the hotel after a long day was like coming into a peaceful zen space. Our room also fit my family of 5 which was a bonus. All the staff was very polite and helpful, and luggage shipping was easy to organize. I would stay here again and highly recommend it!

Overall a great experience. We chose this hotel as a central location to explore different parts of Kyoto and walking distance, about 20 min, to Gion. It exceeded our expectations. The rooms were comfortable, the check in process smooth, and we really appreciated the coffee and snacks in the lounge. My daughter and I used the onsen, especially awesome after walking 8 miles a day. We did the breakfast one morning and it was excellent with everything from cereal to fried chicken. I would strongly recommend it.

This was one of the best hotels my girlfriend and I stayed at while in Japan. The rooms are spacious, and even allow guest to use their private bath house! They have a full guest area with free snacks, a full coffee machine, and water/soda. Highly recommend coming here, plus it’s a short walk to the train station. We stayed at the Hilton in Tokyo and both agreed this was better than that.

This hotel really sets the standard for hotels in Kyoto. You get high quality for what you pay, and the rooms do not disappoint. The staff here are very nice, always available to help throughout the day. There is a restaurant here, where you can grab a drink or have a meal. We reserved the deluxe quad room (four bed), which gave a lot of value and quality for what we payed for. It was large, clean and very luxurious, which really set the bar for hotels in Kyoto. There was also a bath and showers (one for men, one for women) as well as free ice cream and drinks available. The location was also pretty good, close to some shops, convenience stores, restaurants, and not too far from the Nishiki Markets, but you will need to walk a bit. Overall, I was very impressed with this hotel, with its luxury, the high quality rooms and great service. Totally recommend, 5 stars.

The aesthetic of this hotel is a good start to a Kyoto vacation. Check-in was smooth. The staff are very polite. The welcome drink was a nice touch after a long train ride. We booked a triple room which was just enough space for three as we didn't spend much time in the room. After learning the importance of having restaurant reservations the hard way we ended up eating dinner at the hotel one night. It was really a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and the service was gracious. We ordered 3 different pasta dishes and they were all excellent. The truffle fries were really good too. The desserts were very good, the chocolate one being the stand out. It's close to the subway exit however if you have heavy luggage there are a couple of flights of stairs to manage from the closest exit to the hotel. We opted to take a cab back to Kyoto station when we left for the Nozomi to Tokyo. The snacks of mixed nuts and biscuits are a nice touch and the workout room and laundry were easily accessible. I would recommend this boutique hotel when visiting Kyoto.

Overall, this was a decent hotel to stay in. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a hotel associate who checked us in while we enjoyed a coffee and pastry. The room itself was good. The living area has tatami mats so make sure you don’t roll luggage across or wear shoes there (we found this a bit awkward to navigate given that the space wasn’t huge). The washroom was nice and they are stocked with a good assortment of skincare and other items you may need during your stay. They had an onsen on site as well as laundry. The dryer does take a very long time to dry a small load so make sure if you need to access it that you time it well (we did not and had to stay awake waiting into the late hours). I loved the fully stocked snack bar (they had matcha wafers and ice cream you could enjoy). Do be aware that many families stay here (or at least were when we were there in March) so it is loud and lots of children running around especially on the floor with the onsen. Overall for the price and access to the trains, it was a decent accommodation.

We just left after a few days at the Blossom and we loved every moment of it. The amenities were fantastic and we used the onsen baths daily, which was perfect and relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were all friendly and efficient, with a special shoutout to the excellent bar staff. The location was perfect, next to Gojo station and short walking distance to lots of restaurants and the Gion area. The hotel and the rooms had a great zen vibe and it was overall a very peaceful stay. Highly recommended!
