Absolutely fantastic experience at Seiwasou celebrating our anniversary. The host and owners were so incredibly hospitable, kind, and informative about every single dish. Well worth the cost, they are extremely accommodating from the minute you arrive until the minute you leave (from greeting you at the door to offering to hail a cab for you once you depart). They curate a custom menu based on preferences or allergies, and each dish was more spectacular than the next. We tried and enjoyed many ingredients, fish, etc. that were unfamiliar to us and were blown away by the meticulous preparation and flavor combinations presented. 10/10 experience and would certainly come back & recommend to others!

We had a wonderful kaiseki dinner at Seiwasou, where every detail was beautifully curated. Our hostess, who spoke excellent English, welcomed us with warmth and elegance, making the evening feel truly special. The private dining room overlooked a serene, moonlit garden—an unforgettable setting. Kaiseki, often seen as the origin of modern tasting menus, was showcased here in its most refined form.

We had an amazing lunch at Seiwasou. We had their weekday set lunch and it blew us away. My wife and I went there with our one year old son and they do bento box for young children as well. The food were so delicious and beautifully presented. On top of that the service was impeccable and the private room was beautiful. My son had a hard time siting still on the baby chair after his meal and the waitress brought in a mat and 2 toys for him to play. We were really impressed by the service. Highly highly recommended. We will be back again!

The staff was so friendly and polite. The location was awesome. Tucked away in a neighborhood you will enter the restaurant and get sent back in time. The Bamboo floor in combination with your own private rooms and the zen garden outside was out of this world. And the food of course was also soo good. You can taste the passion of the chef. 10/10 would recommend. I will be back for sure.

This is a fantastic traditional kaiseki restaurant. The food was delicious. The service was terrific. And the building and gardens were beautiful. They also handled a gluten-free meal smoothly and perfectly. It was a great traditional Japanese experience.

great restaurants for lunch, after eating at Michelin star in Osaka i think this place deserve themselves a star as the experience was more enjoyable, the view and ambience is amazing. food was delicious but simple. If there was printout or if staff was able to describe what we were eating better we would have been able to appreciate the food more, but they tried their best with limited english to explain. food was good and seasonal so didnt matter really. definitely will return one day.

Beautiful grounds and meal from Chef Takenaka. Service was impeccable, it feld like we were back in centuries old Japan. Lunch is a good option if you are looking to save a few dollars.

The restaurant is gorgeous, and service is good. The reason why I scored the food poorly is because they said they accommodated for halal, and what that looked like was reduced portions compared to the friends I was with that did not have the same dietary restrictions. To add insult to injury, I asked about the Wagyu on the menu they provided to just make sure it was halal. It wasn’t. And they replaced that with something I had already had. And the kicker? I was still charged the same amount as my friends who didn’t have dietary restrictions. Next time, either do your research or don’t say you can accommodate halal.
