Google
Beautiful selection of stationary products. When we visited there was also a calligraphy exhibition happening on the upper floors.

Obsessed. this is the most beautiful stationary store I’ve ever been in. It was honestly hard to not spend hundreds here. I bought a beautiful stamp, a postcard that had cherry blossoms and incredible sparkles on it and a few other small things. It can get very crowded because it’s super famous. Definitely worth a visit and very reasonably priced.

Third time buying incense sticks from Kyukyodo, never get disappointed. Btw, minimum amount for tax free purchase here is 11,000 JPY.

Quite interesting store to visit with many card postals art supplies and many Japanese items. I liked exploring between so many items it offers.

Cute little gift store!!! Affordable, lots of options, and the staff will help you packed with paper cover and stickers if you told them they’re gifts.

Beautiful place with a wide selection of postcards, notebooks, origami papers, writing utensils, miniatures to build, stamps and more. I visit every time I'm in town and there's always new and beautiful items here.

Google
Beautiful store where to buy various products made with paper (bookmarks, paper, postcards, mirror, encens, pens, etc.) I bought only 1 mirror and then I regretted it because I could not find the same anywhere else I visited after (even in Kyoto). A great place to go to buy unique souvenirs or products. The staff is also very kind.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Such an eye opening store! I had a MAJOR shopping spree at this store buying gifts and souvenirs! If you are a fan of traditional washi, origami papers, and Japanese paper dolls (aka ningyo), this store is heaven to you. I will go back if I have a chance.

Yelp
Kyukyodo in Ginza, Tokyo is my absolute favorite paper store in all of Japan. First established in 1663 it specializes in Japanese Washi or rice paper goods, books, calligraphy supplies and incense. Part of it's illustrious past includes being the stationer to the Imperial House of Japan from 1891 to 1945. Surprisingly the prices are really reasonable starting at about $.75 for a beautiful postcard and just a few dollars for envelopes and beautiful writing paper. They also have handmade paper dolls and many other special gifts you would want to buy for your discerning and appreciative friends back home. Sending a letter written on paper purchased here sends a message that you have good taste! It's always crowded, but the staff is nothing less than efficient and fast.

Yelp
Big fan of Washi (Japanese paper)? My kids were once so into Washi, and yay we found Kyukyudo is a Washi paradise!! Kyukyudo probably carries the most various kinds sizes of handmade washi in Tokyo, and very traditional ones, while I was so surprised they have so many Japanese postcards and letter sets. It's always so nice to send Japanese seasonal postcards to family and friends. Kyukyudo is a stationary shop with long history and tradition, and you'll find all the Japanese trational washi, handcrafts, calligraphy supplies, stationary, etc. you want, and it's just across the Mazuzakaya department store building at Ginza. Don't miss it next time you visit Ginza, you'll doubt if you walk in a nice Japanese shop in Kyoto!!

Yelp
Wonderful selection of stationary and traditional Japanese gifts. Purchases can be wrapped for free, as in most Japanese stores. Must visit for souvenirs that vary from the mass produced.
