We (three families) booked an unpowered site at Kywong Caravan Park for four days after our Grampians trip was unexpectedly canceled. We received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival.
During our stay, we had an issue with our 95L fridge and needed to switch to a powered site. The staff were very accommodating, quickly upgrading one of our sites to a powered one, which was conveniently close to the others.
The park has two clean and well-maintained toilet and shower blocks, especially impressive considering it was busy before New Year’s. The camp kitchen and laundry facilities were also spotless.
The kids enjoyed the small playground, and we loved the abundant local wildlife. A great bonus was the Moos N Brews coffee truck, serving coffee for the adults and milkshakes for the kids from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Overall, Kywong Caravan Park is a fantastic place to camp and a perfect base for exploring the local town of Nelson, the Glenelg River, and Portland. Highly recommended!
