"L'Alcova Restaurant L’Alcova, within the posh Ca’Sagredo Hotel, is an intimate dining experience with just nine tables on a delightful panoramic terrace fronting the Grand Canal. It serves a traditional Venetian menu that changes daily and is sourced from the Rialto Market across the street. Dishes like monkfish with cherries and wild baby asparagus, and burrata-filled tortellini with clams, fresh basil, capers, and pine nuts, are paired with a well-curated wine list representing Italy’s different wine regions. The desserts here are stellar, so try to save room. It’s also not unusual for the chef to come chat with diners post-meal. This is a great romantic pick—just make sure to reserve ahead."

The family at AtlasAdventured highly recommends this restaurant! We went as a party of 6, 5 adults and 1 child, in June of 2023. We did not have a reservation and arrived about 4:30 to ensure we got a good table outside. The location of this restaurant is amazing! Outdoor seating right along the Grand Canal. It is located in the Ca’ Segredo Hotel. We were not staying at the hotel. The food was one of the best meals I’ve had in Italy, and I’ve eaten at a lot of places! The service was amazing, both gentlemen were very patient with us and made our toddler laugh throughout the meal, and gave great recommendations on wine. This is one of those meals that will live forever in my mind. The food, the ambience, and of course the company kept all made it wonderful. I cannot wait to come back!

If you want to sit on the Grand Canal without the crowds this is the perfect place for you. You will never stumble across this hotel restaurant. The waterside tables are not along a path or piazza. Our food was above average, the setting and service were impeccable. If you want the highest cuisine in Venice this is not your spot. If you want a lovely experience with enjoyable food and service without the crowds then this is your hidden gem.

Professional and kind service and a beautiful location. However, the quality of the food was missing. The frito was tasteless and dripping in fat, the fish was correct but not exceptional and definitively not worth the pricetag

If you’re looking for not overcrowded place with a nice view and acceptable food for more or less adequate price - come here Nevertheless, something is missing.. but what exactly I can’t say

Literally the worst meal I had in an entire week in Venice. Food was very poorly cooked: risotto watery, fish inexplicably horrifying overcooked and looked like it had been poached vs sauteed. Wines overpriced and when we decided not to order dessert they brought out the world's most homely plate of free cookies which were likely not fit for human consumption. Go anywhere but here

This place is a true hidden gem, away from tourists and pedestrian traffic, with a beautiful view to the grand canal. The service is excellent, waiters are friendly and very professional, and the food is amazing. We had the best Risotto ever! Would come back!

Staying at hotel. Perfect for our situation in the moment. Food is not great and not bad. Average price for quality and quantity. Not busy with tourists. Nice location on Grand Canal. Two bottles water, beef tartare, taglietelle, Panna Cotta. 95 euros.

Beautiful place with great view. We waited 20min for the menu and had to ask for it 3 times. When it finally came it was just the drinks menu. We had to go get it ourselves. Terrible service, very rude waiter.
