The 7 Best Hotels in Madrid (Updated 2025)

"Situated in La Latina, the city’s culinary epicenter, this aparthotel offers a variety of apartment types including options with private terraces, making it ideal for groups or travelers who want extra space. I found the kitchenettes well equipped with a mini fridge, cooktop, microwave, toaster, Nespresso machine, and a small table, and although there’s no on‑site breakfast there are plenty of grocery stores and eateries nearby. The apartments are painted a calming sage green with minimalist décor and artwork, receive lots of natural light, and include a flatscreen TV, wardrobe, and AC; the large bathrooms provide complimentary toiletries and showers with excellent water pressure." - Matthew Kepnes

Good hotel. No problems with the room, except there is a metal door stopper in the middle of the bathroom floor that it’s easy to stub your toe on…! Mostly it was quiet and peaceful, not much noise from other rooms or outside. Coffee/water is only complimentary on the first night, not replenished unless you pay - this seems a bit stingy. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Location is quite good, but it’s not close to the Metro station that we needed to use - worth checking this if you know where you will go to/from during your stay.

This is a good hotel. Not an amazing hotel, but good. It’s centrally located in the La Latina area within a 5 minute walk to the La Latina Metro. We had one of the largest apartments on the 4th floor. It was clean and the kitchen was a handy addition. However, it’s so close to loads of amazing bars and restaurants, I can’t imagine cooking is an option for most. However, It was really expensive for the 4 nights we were there as we booked last minute. So hotel? Good 3 star. Value for money? Not really. The staff on the other hand were lovely and super helpful! They deserve 5 stars each!

My Recent Stay at L&H La Latina: A Highly Recommended Gem in Madrid I recently spent four nights at L&H La Latina in Madrid, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, conveniently located, and well-serviced place to stay. The Location: Absolutely Perfect. The hotel's location in the heart of La Latina is truly unbeatable. Everything I wanted to see and do within the central area of Madrid was easily walkable. From the iconic Plaza Mayor and the stunning Royal Palace to the vibrant atmosphere of the San Miguel Market, I never felt the need for public transport for my main sightseeing. Stepping out of the hotel immediately immersed me in the lively energy of the neighborhood, with its charming streets, traditional tapas bars, and bustling plazas. Impeccable Cleanliness: The apartment itself was spotlessly clean upon arrival and maintained that way throughout my stay. It was evident that the housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work, which significantly contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Outstanding and Helpful Staff: The positive reviews regarding the staff are absolutely accurate. From check-in to check-out, every interaction was a pleasure. The team was incredibly helpful with any questions I had, offering recommendations and always doing so with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Their attentiveness truly made me feel well taken care of. Overall: My stay at L&H La Latina was exceptional. The combination of the prime location, the impeccable cleanliness, and the outstanding service from the staff makes it a top choice for anyone visiting Madrid. I would definitely choose to stay here again on a future trip and highly recommend it to others seeking a comfortable and well-situated base in this fantastic city. This review incorporates your personal experience and highlights the aspects you found particularly positive. It's great to hear that the stairs weren't a problem for you, as that's often a subjective point. Thanks for sharing your firsthand account!

Loved staying in this hotel. Upon arrival, the staff were extremely friendly; the room was extremely spacious; and the bed was very comfortable. Convenient for the metro just south which takes you straight up to the city centre; a supermarket on the corner of the street; and the palace & cathedral are within a 15 mins walk. Would definitely look to stay here again next time I’m in Madrid

My husband and I were visiting the museums in Madrid and stayed here for 3 nights. It was a great location for walking to see the sights. The hotel was quiet, clean, & cool with super helpful and friendly staff. We would stay here again!

I’ll start with the good. Great location. Staff is friendly. Rooms are nice though a tad small. Ok bad we used the coffee cups and wine glasses provided but when asked to replace cuz the maid didn’t take or replace we were told “we don’t do that”! When we asked to for replacement coffee pods we were charged (fine we’re kinda told about that). When we asked for our room to be clean they said “ but they already left your floor (granted the time was from 10-12 we left at 11 to go out). More of a DIY hotel. Ac makes A LOT of noise as does the mini fridge. But I’m sure if I asked about those they’d prolly say “we don’t fix those”. Book at will. We will not be coming back here. We don’t do that…

Great little hotel, great location for experiencing Madrid's local life, and great value for the rate. They're located just a few blocks from the neighborhood mercado where you can enjoy lots of good and fresh food. Easy walking distance to the Metro and all of the local bars, restaurants, and shops. Most of all the staff, particularly Issac and Clara, and customer service at L&H Latina are excellent. When my partner got sick one night, they were extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs, especially in helping us rearrange our travel plans. We would definitely stay at L&H Latina again.

This was a very disappointing experience, especially in comparison with another L&H aparthotel in Madrid 2 years ago (since closed). The AC didn't function enough to cool the room; the hairdryer kept overheating and shutting off; the stair lift didn't function, making the property (up a flight of stairs) functionally inaccessible; and the broken shower seat collapsed on the floor. Did I mention that the AC didn't work, and Madrid is hot?
