L'Eautel (Toulon, French Riviera / Provence) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If you know any French at all you can see L’Eautel Toulon Port’s maritime theme coming from a thousand miles away, but as always, it’s not the concept that matters so much as the execution — and here the nautical color scheme and the graphic wave motif are applied with a light touch, lending an air of whimsical fun to this 62-room boutique hotel in Toulon, on the Mediterranean coast between Marseille and St. Tropez. This is a working port city, not an idle beach town; L’Eautel is set on the edge of the old town center, right across from the maritime museum and the Arsenal Toulon naval base." - Tablet Hotels

Booked this hotel for a couple of nights touring south France - and lucky for that....||L'eautel is boxed in between the main road through Toulon and a square with outdoor servings and bars with loud music. AND if that werent't enough just next door to the hotel is a bar with disco music as well....!!!||We had a room facing the road and bar with music (room 308) and one room facing the square (room 312). Needless to say - even with ask at check in to make sure to fit us in to a quiet location of the building - we got these two - off course wondering if any rooms exist not facing either of the two :(||Besides that - Toulon is a wonderful city - will for sure be back - but for sure not to L'Eautel.||The hotel otherwise is okay - a litle worn around - especially the roof top pool - or what you can call it ;)

We had a amazing stay in this hotel! We enjoyed the roof top pool before evening and visited a great bar located on the backyard.||The room was comfortable but there was a little noise from the lift located on side of the room.||Hotel is located in the city center with garage. Staff was very helpful and managed our early check-in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend staying at l’eautel Toulon. The room was clean and comfortable (and dog friendly). The location, less than 100m from the port more than satisfied our desire to stay by the water. While the staff were very welcoming, efficient and worked to make our stay an enjoyable one. The Sunday brunch on the day of our departure was a great way to end our little holiday.

Service: Impeccable, exceptional, amazing!!!! 5*+||Food: not brilliant, limited breakfast and the meals for the business catering were rather underwhelming 2*||Room: worn interior, VERY limited storage, comfy bed, great pillows, clean, FANTASTIC aircon, limited cosmetics 3*||Location: the best! 5*+||Meeting facility: really not great, I will need a few days to recover from the kid sized plastic chairs 2*||While the service and location would bring me back at any point, I cannot ignore that I've struggled to store my own stuff for 3 nights never mind having hubby with me, and food was not great.

Terrible experience - no sleep at all - music on the square behind the Hotel and bar just next to the front of hotel...!! How others can rate this hotel hogh - muet be hearing disabled ;) Worn down rooms - room 312 bathroom door can almost not close...! Booked same room class and type - but seriously as we had two (room 308 and 312) - not same at all - no help from front staff in hotel - the so called manager Mathieu could not help.... PLEASE don't book this hotel......

Food here and service was frankly appalling. The beef cheek was NOT the cut expected. The meat (more akin to shin) was cut into small pieces and was tough and full of gristle. But was it beef anyway? We stayed one night and the room was OK although the WC light was faulty and could not be switched off, which was annoying. Breakfast was probably the worst I have ever had in a French hotel. Service for Dinner and Breakfast was very poor. You have been warned.

Subject: Concern Regarding Front-Desk Handling of an Important Rugby Ticket Dear L’Eautel Toulon Port Team, I would like to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred during our recent stay. A Castres Olympique player kindly left a quarter-final ticket for us at reception, addressed with our family name and room number. When we arrived to collect it, the receptionist was unable to locate the envelope. After an anxious search he finally discovered it—discarded in the waste-bin behind the desk. We were shocked that a clearly labelled, time-sensitive envelope had been thrown away. The player who left the ticket was equally surprised and disappointed when we informed him. This experience left us feeling that our belongings—and the goodwill of the player—were not treated with the care and respect one would expect from a hotel of your reputation. I hope you will review your procedures for handling guest items to ensure similar situations do not occur in future. Thank you for taking this matter seriously. We look forward to hearing how you intend to address it. Sincerely, TManagement
