What a gem this is. Such a nice place. Walking up to the entrance you already pass by a nicely lit terrace. You are welcomed by a elderly couple and their daughter. Super friendly and sweet. A simple but delicious menu is up on the wall to choose from. The owner is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We just loved it. Food was delicious (escargots & ossobuco), the wine was amazing. But most of all the atmosphere. Don't doubt, just walk in.

Simply one of our favourite restaurants we have ever been to! We stumbled across it last year and found the food and service just fantastic and have been talking about it ever since! We were able to come back last night and the experience exceeded our expectations. The setting is beautiful, either under the canopy of the tree outside or at one of the cozy tables inside the restaurant that has been beautifully curated. The owner listened to our likes and recommended two beautiful wines which were spot on. He also recommended the sabodet dish to my partner (sausage stew) which was sublime.. the portions are generous, the flavours complex and we will be thinking about it for another whole year until we can come again!

Stunning, quaint bistro. Old school French without the pretence. Fantastic food and great service. Shades of Emily in Paris before Netflix.

We got served late (10pm) after a long day of driving. Friendly staff, lovely drinks and amazing food. Gorgonzola ravioli was incredible! Nice ambience and cosy. 10/10 recommend!

Dining at L’Espiguette in Rouen was a profound experience that went beyond just eating out. The highlight, apart from the exquisite food, was Lucy, our waitress. Her warmth and exceptional service greatly enhanced our visit. Lucy was not only helpful with navigating the menu but also spoke English extremely well, making our communication seamless. The food itself was remarkable, leaving a lasting impression with its flavours and presentation. It’s rare to find a place where the service matches the quality of the food so perfectly. L’Espiguette is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable meal in Rouen.

The best meal we had in France. Graciously sat us without a reservation the night before Armistice Day. Each course was wonderful and such a great bistro experience! Definitely try the Brioche Perdue!

Delicious signature dish ossobuco and the best steak tartare of the region. Very friendly people. If we visit Rouen again, we will come back here.

The place has it all! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impeccable food, the service came from the most wonderfully strange team of staff, each more quirky than the last. And to top it off we met some really vibrant locals, which altogether served a night we'll remember. ✨ We all went for the steaks 🥩 and despite the kitchen not having any of the accompanying sauce left over for the steak, the whole dish was STILL one of the best steaks dishes I've ever had. The cut was well cooked and was mellting in my mouth (obviously went for rare) 😌. The chips it came with actually brought a tear of joy to our eyes, no cap 🍟 :') We finished it off with the French version of a bread and butter pudding (pain perdue?), this part made us all melt, it was heaven. You gotta go here.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant with delicious food. Based on Yelp reviews we gave it a try and thought it was great. Had a cheese plate, osso buco, and a seafood stew. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Would definitely return!

Yelp
A great atmosphere in the middle of Rouen, lively and interesting and I would definitely come back. One meal- the Buratta - was disappointing esp compared to others we had experienced in Brussels recently.

Yelp
After 3 days in Paris and just so-so food, we stumbled into this charming restaurant and were wonderfully pleased. Our waiter, Adlai (?spelling), was so friendly and helpful. We had a pumpkin and Pecorino soup, deviled eggs with tuna and mozzarella/Parmesan/pesto appetizer that were all fabulous. The gateau (French style apple pie) was also delicious. Our best meal in France by far.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Many locals and although did not have desert they all looked ridiculously good as they would be ordered by others but I did have the blonde Paillette beer they offer which is a very good food brew.

Yelp
So we came to Rouen to see the Cathédrale and it was a very nice view of a church that was first established in the 4th century rebuilt many times and very special. It is a very nice big city, capital of Normandy. We were looking for a small, good, local place and we found it in l'espiguette. We had Campari spritzers first. They were on special and excellent. We ordered a summer squash salad. Thinly sliced squash with a salad dressing served cold and it was uniquely delicious. Also ordered a steak with pommes. Beautifully done steak and fries were perfect. If in Rouen stop in, I am sure you will enjoy an excellent meal.

Yelp
The best dining experience. Started with the rabbit and fruit salad, followed with the salmon tartare as my entreé-simply delicious. The fabulous desserts selection rounded off an evening that would please the most decerning palate. Highly recommend. Dinner is fabulous, the ambiance-wonderful.

Yelp
The best meal we had in Rouen and one of the best we've had in a long time. Every single dish was delicious, fresh and homemade. The service was outstanding too, a must if you visit the city but to book in advance since it's very popular.

Yelp
L'Espiguette, a quaint little bistro that has been excelling in the disappearing art of cooking homemade food, has become my favorite spot. There, beside the traditional entrecote (prime rib) served with French fries, you will find hearty meals served in cast-iron dishes like pot-au-feu (a typical French fare made of boiled beef and vegetables), or ossobuco (an Italian specialty made with veal, accompanied with ravioli, aragula and shaved parmesan). Staff is very friendly, and prices are reasonable (the lunch menu is unbeatable!).

Yelp
Once again Yelp has not let us down. Thanks to the wonderful reviews we enjoyed an awesome lunch. We had the Mussels and they were the freshest we've ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant.
