La Alcoba del Agua Hotel Boutique

I have just stayed 4 nights at this delightful small hotel on the edge of the old town in Sanlúcar .There has been no expense spared on the modernisation of this hotel.The quality of decor in the the public areas and the well appointed rooms is very high .The check in was good and very informative as to the hotel and the surrounding area with regard to local sights and restaurants.The parking is a short walk and a bit tight but this is no different to any of the hotels in the area.I was that impressed I stayed an extra 2 nights .I am not that keen on pre ordering breakfast but in this case it was worth it as it was exceptionally good with home made granola,lovely pastries and I can’t remember the last time I was given freshly grated tomato for the pan y tomate.I didn’t use the indoor pool but it looks very inviting so maybe next time. I have no hesitation in recommending the Alcoba Hotel

Do not under any circumstances make the huge mistake of thinking that this is a 2-star hotel - it may say so on the front but in everything that matters it is 5-star all the way.||The management and their team do everything possible to make sure you have a wonderful time. Check in goes above and beyond with a commentary about everything good about Sanlucar (there is a lot) and also a helpful link to recommended restaurants including the outstanding Casa Bigote.||Great central location with the Castle, palace and City Square all within a comfortable 10 minute walk. Also countless Bodegas and opportunities to sample the health enhancing qualities of the local Manzanilla sherry.||Breakfast is a joy - food is brought to the table and is top quality including the home-made Granola.||The room was comfortable with a rain fall shower - the room was on the 2nd floor and there were no issues with either water pressure or WiFi.||If you are coming to Sanlucar then I can’t think of a reason why you wouldn’t stay here….unless it’s fully booked & let’s face it word will get out sooner rather than later. ||Book now to avoid disappointment 👍

Have just returned from a wonderful two nights stay in Sanlucar. We first stayed in this hotel 14yrs ago and it's still as special as it was then. Small, very personal, modern, and with sustainability playing a huge part - it ticks a lot of boxes. The beautiful quality sheets and comfortable beds make for a good night's sleep (remember to close the windows though if you don't want to wake up early with the cleaners). We used reserved parking service to make things easier as we didn't use the car again during our stay. Everything is in walking distance. We definitely won't be leaving it so long until next time. Tip: make sure to double check if you need twin beds as they are very limited.

We had 3 marvellous days at the hotel and if we return to Sanlucar we would undoubtedly stay at the hotel again. The hotel is charmingly decorated, spotlessly clean, serves delicious breakfasts, is calming and relaxing and well located.|What really made the visit for us was the staff - Miguel the General manager and the ladies on reception were the most helpful and friendly that we have ever experienced- I can’t praise them enough and wish to thank them again. With our limited Spanish , they even helped us out of a couple of tight spots when we were stranded and couldn’t get a taxi.|Finally, the hotel offers remarkable value for money - those looking for a ‘boutique’ type experience could not do better.

Very nice hotel. We booked a junior suite. Large, comfortable, clean and well appointed with a fantastic bathroom - awesome shower and beautiful stand alone tub. Warm and attentive service. And great value personalised buffet breakfast with wonderful selection of artesanal pastries. Highly recommend.

It‘s a place to feel comfortable and relaxed - beautiful architecture, nice design, wonderful breakfast. All you need for holiday!

Sat in the heart of Sanlucar, this hotel is an easy 10 min walk from the main plaza. We stayed in 'Apartment 1' and it was ideal for us; spotlessly clean, with a private terrace which was a real sun-trap. The kitchen was well-equipped, but Sanlucar has so many amazing restaurants we hardly used it. The apartment is a perfect size for a couple and could work for 3, albeit with little privacy between the bed and sofa bed. We didn't use the pool as it was rarely in the sun but it looked really nice. ||Car parking is available nearby at an extra cost, but there weren't any easy parking alternatives. ||A gem of a hotel, would 100% stay again.

This was just the perfect hotel for our stay. A real relaxing home from home. It is smart, modern, clean and very comfortable. We booked a suite which was a very lovely room. Plenty of space with a seating area inside and a balcony overlooking the pool. A large comfortable bed and a really good sized and well equipped bathroom. A great feature for my very light sleeping husband was how extremely quiet it was. We were looked after beautifully - the owners couldn’t have been more helpful with suggestions for things to do and useful advice. Our breakfast each morning was delicious with many fresh items and a good choice. Sanlucar de Barrameda is a charming town and this hotel is situated perfectly within the old part. Thoroughly recommend.

Hei everyone, you need to check on this amazing place. It is the best and most affordable modern "hostal" I have ever seen in my entire life. The owner and the whole team of La Alcoba are really nice and welcoming, the rooms are cozy and the public areas are to dream of with a lovely patio and pool. The location is just downtown (walking distance to the restaurants and bars) and they can offer you a parking lot at a moderate rate just 100 metres away.
