We had a nightmarish experience at La Aurora Hotel Colonial in Valladolid. I had booked 13 rooms well in advance for a group of 26 people, yet when we arrived, only 10 rooms were available! The hotel moved the remaining 3 rooms to another property, causing unnecessary inconvenience and chaos.
To make matters worse, most of the rooms didn’t even have towels, despite the hotel knowing our arrival time. When we asked for towels, we were told they’d be brought soon. After waiting over an hour, they finally delivered towels that were still wet from the dryer!
When I tried to resolve these issues with the manager, he was completely indifferent and dismissive, telling me to “talk to Booking” instead of taking any responsibility. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
As if that wasn’t enough, the breakfast we paid extra for was mediocre at best and totally inadequate for a group of 26. The portions were small, and we were left feeling like the hotel simply wasn’t prepared to handle a group booking of this size.
