We stopped in at La Baguette for an early lunch before heading off on a hike. This bakery and coffee shop has excellent sandwiches, baked goods, hot beverages, as well as a selection of craft beers. This is a popular spot in Revelstoke, and each time we have stopped by, there have been plenty of customers buying their famed sourdough bread or stopping in to enjoy coffee or lunch. Although there is seating inside, we had our dogs with us, so we all enjoyed sitting at one of the dog-friendly outdoor tables. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, creating a positive experience. It’s a place we will visit again when we’re in Revelstoke.

This was an amazing experience! The food was fantastic, and the coffee was also excellent. Wonderful atmosphere, very clean bathrooms, and great service! Also, fair prices. Can't wait to visit it again!

Stopped here for lunch and it was awesome. I had the turkey club sandwich and a latte and both were great. I’m looking forward to stopping in on my return trip if the timing works out and would highly recommend.

Google
This bakery is a breath of fresh air. The quality of the pastries is top notch. The variety they offer between cakes, pastries, savoury brioches, gelato, and breads is impressive. fresh baked bread baked everyday - and sliced right in front of you. The coffee eclair is one of the best things I’ve tasted in recent memory. A strong reminder that sometimes the best things in life are gone all too fast… as from first bite to finish about five seconds had elapsed. We came here two days in a row and ate so many delicious treats, often too fast for me to get a picture of them. Lattes in here are also fantastic - which is rare for a bakery. Wish we got a chance to try the gelato cause that looked fantastic, but trust me, we will be back! My only complaint is how loud the bread slicer is, I wish they could move it to the kitchen to slice it. But honestly very small price to pay for how fantastic everything is in this bakery.

Google
The patio is lovely, we had mixed feelings about the ordered breakfast (bagel was excellent, Benny was meh), coffee was great but they really shine with their croissant/pastries. The fruit Danish was awesome, the croissants and cruffins were SO good. They didn't last long enough for a picture, next time will definitely be going for a coffee and croissant!

Cute spot off the main road. Had the Breakfast Special by the fire and a little later on the poutine with pulled pork. Both very flavourful and comforting. Great atmosphere. I ate while doing some work here. While there were families and plenty of turnover, I was still able to find a great spot to hunker down and keep to myself for a bit.

Beyond YUM! This rustic, boho gem is absolutely the perfect venue to curl up in front of the fire with a homemade muffin or ham and cheese croissant. Lots of seating and such a cozy, comfy vibe inside! I just loved everything about it! Don't settle for a big chain brekky when just down the road is this gem. So worth the mini detour! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The fact that I can't order a 12oz cup of coffee is quite odd... would be nice if I could use an amex as well. Coffee is good though once I convince them to charge me for a 16oz and then give me the 12oz cup as I requested. This is at both locations ive been too. Good atmosphere though.

Yelp
Wonderful place for breakfast or food. Just remember to come before 11 am as that's when the breakfast menu ends. The place is a bit confusing as it has two sides. Go left for take out if you're getting just baked goods, treats and ice cream. Go right for dine in service. Read the signs as there was no staff to ask when we were there. They were busy. If you want to dine in and have a hot meal, grab the menu and head to the counter to place your order. Despite the sign saying they will seat you, they didn't. We found a table a group just vacated and grabbed that. When we left, other customers got our table. But the staff will clean the table if you managed to flag them down. We shared the honey pecan sticky bun and the brunch plate. Both were so good! The sticky bun was really sticky and sweet but in a good way. Best to share that. The brunch plate had lots of stuff - two eggs, maple habanero sausage (that caught my eye), bacon, crepe, baked beans, fruits, roasted potatoes, toast, jam, house made ketchup and maple syrup. It was a good thing we shared that too. There are many types of seatings here. Tables, long high table, an area where the table fire is with 3 sections that can be shared with strangers. You're still far apart to have private conversations. There are paintings on the walls for sale. Artwork prints and merchandise are also available for purchase. Unfortunately I didn't get to try more baked goods and ice cream. Maybe next time when I'm back in Revelstoke. This is a popular place for food so I expect it to be super busy on weekends and peak tourist periods. Parking is available on the street.

Yelp
Love the bagel sandwich choices, nice menu of what looks like mini gourmet food. Had the cacao elixir coffee, very tasty. The icing on the cake was the service. Sitting here with ice pack on very bruised arm and one of the ladies asks if would like more ice and takes the pack and refills. It's the little things in life that make you feel welcome. Like the ambiance as well. Fits in.

Jim B.

Yelp
Been a patron since they opened. It's been a good run. But not again. Took a break from it for a while. Went back recently. Multiple order mistakes over two visits. I know some love the place, and good for them. I'm just saying our time is done. Many will still enjoy.

Yelp
Please take the time to realize what you are representing and therefore supporting through how your business has chosen to label your food. I will not be supporting your business and there are many whom you have disappointed.

Yelp
"Review of La Baguette" I stumbled upon La Baguette on my way to Banff and was immediately drawn in by the cozy atmosphere and stunning mountain view. The café boasts a good amount of seating, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or coffee with friends. The service was excellent - the staff were friendly. I tried their banana bread, beet burger and coffee, and all were delicious. The preparations were tasty, and the beet burger in particular was a standout. I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits La baguette - it's a must-have! In addition to their great food, La baguette also offers a variety of baked goods. They are particularly famous for their baguette, although I unfortunately missed out on trying it as it had already sold out by the time I arrived. So, if you're hoping to try their baguette, it's best to arrive early. One thing I appreciated about La baguette was the ample parking area available.

Claire M.

Yelp
Stopped in here on our way through from Kamloops to Calgary, and it was the perfect place to grab some non-fast-food quickly :) Also, the sandwiches are AMAZING. We got the two veggie options and the veggie burger was particularly good- maybe the best one I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). Will be stopping here again whenever we come through!

Yelp
We stopped by La Baguette to pick up some quick food for lunch later that day, as we needed something to eat during our hike. We came on a Saturday morning around 9:30, and there were only a couple folks in line. They didn't offer any indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating was available. My friend grabbed a falafel spiced veggie wrap and I got a three meat croissant (both were $7.25). When we ate the food a couple hours later, they were still delicious. Somehow the outer layer of the croissant was still crispy! I'm glad we came to La Baguette to pick up lunch.

Karen R.

Yelp
OMG I love it here! Always a great meal, the fire place is really cosy in the winter months. I always get the fully dressed BLT - Yummo!

Melanie K.

Yelp
I worked here all day today and it was a great place to hole up: the staff is kind and the atmosphere was lovely (be advised there are limited outlets though, and it can get loud during rushes). WiFi is decent. Breaky wrap was just alright, but sunrise bowl was yummy, and the French onion soup was excellent. The mocha was delicious as well.

Jason C.

Yelp
@jasonsalwayshubgry I keep coming back to La Baguette for good reason this place is a community hubthe Montreal smoked meat sandwich was perfectly prepared bun preparation was impeccable only complaint there wasn't more of it. 9/10#labaguette #revelstoke #britishcolumbia #canada #foodtour #foodie #alwayshungry #food

Yelp
Love the look of this spot both outside and in. We grabbed espressos and I was happy they had non dairy options for me instead of cream. Also grabbed their vegan boci. It's a chocolate treat and it was heavenly. The best part is it doesn't taste chalky. They do well on the vegan options. We also got an almond croissant. So delicious. Must stop here for great food and service.

Ryan C.

Yelp
We had a little BC/Alberta road trip vacation. Peachland to Banff to Edmonton to Revelstoke. This was by far the best food we had the entire trip. Great friendly staff, food executed to perfection. Well done.

Sari Marissa G.

Yelp
What a wonderful stop! Not only does this place showcase local art (for sale), it's also a high end grab and go market, great for picnicking or stocking up your campervan, it's also a bakery complete with gelato (get the huckleberry, which is indigenous to this and the Montana region). We however, stopped by for a late lunch and to cozy up and get warm by the fireplace. It was exactly what we were looking for... We indulged in delicious a local sour brew on tap, a stellar herbal tea served in a super cool dispensable kettle, a thick, heart seasonal cheese soup made with local cheese and a smoked salmon sammy on a thin, crispy Montreal style bagel. We loved everything and our time spent here so much. We felt like we were in a boho type ski lodge and adored it. It's a grab and go style place, but it's super cute and homey. We loved the one stop aspect of it....trying to relax and take a load off after a hike, but also trying to be productive with our precious time away! Food shopping, dessert grabbing, regrouping, beer tasting and noshing. Yay!

Cerys L.

Yelp
Execellent bagels(Montreal style) ,pizza, and bread. Ordered soup and salad, west coast bagel, a pizza, and a smoked meat sandwich, everything was super. Had coffees after lunch and those were also great. Casual dining with order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Reasonable pricing. Oh the poutine was on point too! They had baked wedge potatoes with gravy, all from scratch, and cheese curds. Grabbed some bread, bagels, and goodies from the bakery case to go. This place is a gem. Highly recommend.

Jenn K.

Yelp
Best bakery in town for a quick and delicious pastry. We also love their sourdough bread.

Geoff W.

Yelp
These were the best pastries since we were in France a long time ago. Lattes were pretty darn good too! Service was really good too - despite, as many small businesses do these days, being short staffed. I think it's important to support the businesses that tell you upfront their staffing issues (as did the Fire Pit BBQ in Golden did last night.) Go - you'll enjoy yourself,

Patricia S.

Yelp
I went back for breakfast and had eggs Benedict. Please don't expect a traditional rendering of that dish. The English muffin actually just (house made) sliced white bread, and the ham one stringy and soft, like boiled pork. It was okay - I ate maybe half and left the rest.

W C.

Yelp
Very nice cafe! Excellent service! The pastries are of high standard! Don't miss it if you are in Revelstoke, BC.

Kilee L.

Yelp
Stopped for a quick grab n go on our way out of town. The ham and cheese croissant was so delicious - buttery and flakey and savoury goodness. Not sure what kind of drip coffee they served but it was rich and hit the caffeine spot. Service was friendly and even though it was a Sunday we breezed on through. Would love to try more of their tasty treats and other menu items in the future!

Darcy C.

Yelp
Love stopping here on our way through Revelstoke for a quick coffee and treat or a meal. The pizza is fantastic (bit big for one), and the sandwiches are too. They split into two halves for Covid plus have outdoor seating. The fireplace is lovely, and the wall have local art to enjoy while you eat!

Josy A.

Yelp
All these 5 star reviews are right. La baguette is the perfect place to pop in for a coffee and lunch! We were told about this place by the super-friendly waiter in the Fairmont Banff springs hotel (of all places!) He told us that on our drive back home to Vancouver, we HAD to stop here for a BLT bagel. He also mentioned that we should take some croissants home as well. Well, I am glad we listened to him! My husband had the BLT and I had a perfect salmon and cream cheese bagel. Both were slightly toasted to perfection and crammed with truly tasty toppings. They were also less than $6. Bargainous and delicious. The croissants are huuuuge. They are not amazing by European standards, but they were pretty good for Canada.

Sharon M.

Yelp
After a week long camping trip with my partner we were in the mood for a good coffee and some baked goods. We found this place online when we were passing through Revelstoke and it didn't disappoint! The atmosphere was perfect - we enjoyed a tasty brunch on the patio and the staff were all very friendly. The food was so fresh and it was obvious they take a lot of pride in what they do to make good quality food. After my breakfast I couldn't help myself and had to grab a danish for the road and a gelato. I seriously wanted one of everything! Our cappuccino and London fog really hit the spot as well. So glad we found this place!

Winnie Y.

Yelp
This place was a wonderful recommendation by friends who have been to the area previously. There is something for everyone here. All of the menu items I tried here were fantastic. I tried some ready to go wraps here along with some of the bakery items as well. The ready to go wraps and sandwiches were perfect for keeping in my bag until lunch time on the mountain. Very tasty and held up great for being in a backpack while snowboarding. Try it on your first day here and you'll be back every morning of your entire trip.

Meagan L.

Yelp
Randomly closed at 4:45 on Saturday. At least update your Yelp so I don't drive all the way here looking for food.

Daniel Z.

Yelp
My family and I made a last second decision to eat brunch at this place before heading to Vancouver, and it was the best decision we ever made! The staff inside are super friendly, the food is absolutely amazing, and the location/ambience is perfect with or without company. I had the smoked meat poutine - my only complaint was that the fries were a tad burnt, but the meat was by far the most tender and flavorful I've ever had, and the generous portions more than made up for the fries. I don't know how often I'll make it out to Revelstoke, but when I do I will definitely be coming back!

Heather S.

Yelp
Good lunch spot. The soup was delicious and my husband loved the smoked meat sandwich. Not a huge selection for kids. All the bagels had seeds, adding a plain bagel to the menu would be nice. Bathrooms are clean and well decorated. Coffee is awesome.

Shamitha S.

Yelp
We visited La Baguette a few times on our recent trip to Revelstoke. This is a great place to have breakfast or lunch with kids. There can be a wait for a table during peak times so plan accordingly

Benjamin H.

Yelp
Excellent food, decent setting, interesting menu. The servers seem a bit aloof. Minus one star. Maybe it was because we aren't 20-something? Whatever it is, smile, dammit. People are being friendly to you.

Aaron D.

Yelp
What a find. Some of the best tasting/value lunch food we have had in North America ever. We stopped in on our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver. The pizza's are excellent, the salads amazing and the baguette with brie and prosciutto is to die for. If this shop was in a major city, it would making a killing. Love it

Lois C.

Yelp
This review is for the cafe'/restaurant part of La Baguette. Not sure why it says Catering, I'm sure they do that but, that isn't what we were utilizing. The hot chocolate here is perfection in a cup. Not too sweet, just perfect chocolatey goodness. Breakfast dishes are very well prepared and good portions. Service is attentive, professional and friendly. We had to wait for a car repair and they told us we were welcome to stay as long as we wished. This was very generous given how busy they seem to stay. We went 2 days in a row during our visit to Revelstoke ( infact the first day we had breakfast & returned in the evening for dessert too!) The second day was just breakfast, because we were leaving town. The Rosti Stacks were flavorful and creative. The eggs were well cooked & sourced from organic local farms. I read another review where someone insisted his Rosti stack was overcooked. There were part a of it that were quite dark, both days we had it, but it seemed like that was to ensure parts of it were crispy, it didn't seem overcooked. Everyone we interacted with there was more than helpful and friendly so I suspect that other reviewer was being difficult and pushy when the servers told him that was how the stack was normally prepared. If this place was closer to where I lived I would have great difficulty staying away. I would LOVE to know the secret to their hot chocolate. I don't think I've ever had any better. They offer white, milk & dark versions; I had the milk version with whipped cream....every time... :)

Jan S.

Yelp
It's very hit and miss, we've had some ok food and some not so good food. Service is extremely slow, always. The Parisian sandwich is a piece of baguette and a few slices of Brie slapped in it, I ordered with prosciutto but they missed that part. When you're already on the road it's not an option to go back to have it rectified and we waited over half hour for 2 sandwiches. We've tried and given the benefit of the doubt a few times now but will not go back. I certainly hope the 25c eco fee on each coffee is going to protecting the environment, I realize it's to discourage single use items, but this is probably just a money grab.

Anna H.

Yelp
We were in Revelstoke for 6 days and ended up at La Baguette 4 meals. The food is just so good and the prices are the best in town. For a quick bite the lunch have a little to go area where we got bagel sandwiches and a chocolate croissant (both incredible). If you've got more time there's a sit down restaurant where you can get full meals. Everyone at our table was so happy with all of the food. My only regret is not going back more!

Josiah O.

Yelp
Great breakfast - great coffee. Love the open fireplace for a sit in. Sometimes a bit busy so may be worth online or phone ordering if in a rush.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
I stopped into La Baguette for a quick lunch while on a road trip through BC. After doing so, all I can say is that it's totally worth the detour from the highway stand-bys of McDonalds and A&W. La Baguette's menu consists of a small selection of sandwiches, salads, coffees and bakery items ranging from house-made breads to creative pastries and delicate macarons. On this visit, I tried one of their regular sandwiches: the Montreal smoked meat. The sandwich came on a buttered a grilled multigrain bread (fresh made, of course) and was piled high with rich Montreal smoked meat. Toppings included thin sliced dill pickle, grainy Dijon and a hot pepper. For the road, I picked up one the brownies on offer by the front counter. The brownie was perfectly fudgy and rich with cocoa flavor. Currently, the restaurant has a limited amount of seating, but work is ongoing to add much more space. The service was very friendly and I enjoyed some extra "touches" like the help-yourself water tap which provided chilled, room temp and sparkling water.

Christine C.

Yelp
The only thing better than the baked chanterelle soup was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff!

Matt R.

Yelp
While craving a coffee and pastry I unwittingly parked out the front of La Baguette. Best. Surprise. Bakery/cafe. Ever! Coffee (espresso): 5/5 Pastry: 5/5 Staff: friendly, helpful and charming 5/5 I was only passing through but I would rate their ice cream/gelato range and bread they had on show. Either on a road trip or staying for a week just make sure this is your first stop in town!

Staci B.

Yelp
La Baguette used to be our staple stop into BC, but we haven't been back in a few years, until today and it was just as amazing as we remembered! The new sandwich menu is slightly smaller but still packs a flavour punch! We ordered the veggie beet burger and wow, just wow! The bun was fresh, the vegetables were crisp and that patty was unlike anything I've ever had! Reminiscent of a Beyond burger but cleaner, and without the chemically after taste and faux meat sweats. The burger patty had such a brilliant crust on it that perfectly added to the texture of the burger! definitely recommend! We finished off our stop over with the best creamy, crunchy and decadent Creme brûlée and we couldn't be happier!

Yuki H.

Yelp
For the most part, my friends and I enjoyed our stop here. I had a power chai with a soup/salad, friends had a bagel sandwich and coffees. Mostly satisfied, just docking a star as a friend was disappointed with their pulled pork burger (soggy and fell apart) and the line to order/pay was long - opportunity to make that more efficient. The pastries looked appealing but didn't have the stomach space to try it. Would return.

Mary B.

Yelp
Great soup and sandwiches. They live up to their reputation. They don't stay open as late as the internet says so be there before 7. Nice dog-friendly patio too.

Jamie W.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect at hillside cafe. The food exceeded my expectations. Had a turkey sandwich and Mango Smoothy...sooo good!

Jay C.

Yelp
Everything from the daily made 3 meat croissants, baguettes to the panini and gelato, everything here is done perfectly. The blueberry cheesecake is one of the best cheesecakes I've every had.

Mrs H.

Yelp
The baguette is so tasty here. I didnt know there was a cafe side and a restaurant side. The salads were really not worth the price but i would go just for the bread

Joyce M.

Yelp
Usually my go-to for a meal out of town for the past several years. Their terrible customer service today prompted my opening of an account to offer a review. Ordered their pizza (which I have had on several other occasions) this time it was burnt to a crisp and blackened to a bitter shocking charcoal mess. When I called to ask about the state of my pizza I was told I did not know what I was talking about and it was cooked that way on purpose. Their employee did offer an apology and made an offer that I could come back to return my meal for a new pizza, unfortunately I was working and didn't have the luxury of time to do so. When I told them this they were indifferent and I asked that maybe I should just avoid ordering anything from them in the future, they said "Okay". Thank you for the terrible meal and terrible customer service experience.

Virginie B.

Yelp
What a gem! Decor and atmosphere are fabulous. Coffee is delicious and the bread... we are still packing in our backpacks, the bread we bought.... 3 days ago! The market next door is full of treasures, perfect to pack for a toad trip: salamis and cheeses, hummus, chocolate ... Employees are super nice. I am just bummed we only stopped at the end of our stay and did not get to experience the full menu!

Candice C.

Yelp
One of the best breakfast around!! Delicious and fresh eggs, bacon, potatoes and fruit! Even their gluten free bread was great! Amazing homemade ketchup and strawberry jam. Had the seasonal Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte and it was fabulous! Can't wait to go back when we're in Revelstoke!

TwoIfOverland -.

Yelp
A classy spot with a lovely indoor glass fire hearth, exceptional service and dynamite food. Coffee, beer, delicious nibbles and a fire to bring the ambiance level up a notch. What more could you need apres-ski? Wood touches throughout the space make it feel cozy and inviting, while a variety of comfortable seating styles & arrangements make you feel like staying a while. A gem in downtown Revelstoke.

Len K.

Yelp
Does no one in this town understand what classic baked goods are. Try to sell health related goods is just a way to cut the butter and best ingredients for cheap stuff. Customers rise up and get your real baked goods back. What is the point. Very sad.

Chapsticker 1.

Yelp
Very cozy/rustic feeling which is quite comforting and my family all had a variety of gelato and it was AMAZING!

Eryn P.

Yelp
La Baguette - you are worth a detour to Revelstoke. Always. Every time we turn the corner onto this road and see your gorgeous little sandwich board outside I literally squeal with excitement. I have so many fond memories of this place! Without fail - theres always a line. And I love that. I love seeing all the different people in this little hole in the wall spot. Some getting delicious homemade gelato, some ordering incredible breakfasts, some (like me) getting a stash of croissants for the long drive ahead. I always want to stock up on take aways so that we can enjoy the best of both worlds, but our last time here they were fresh out of pretty much everything. Our last trip we got the following: Pane chocolate = perfectly flaky with rich chocolate. Ham & Swiss Croissant = a little bit doughy but delicious little breakfast gem. Pesto & Prosciutto Croissant: I wasn't too sure what to expect but man alive that was delicious. The perfect hit of salt, the perfect richness from the pesto mixed with the delicious buttery croissant. I could smash five of those. Their homemade vanilla syrup is out of this world - so if you're a vanilla latte fan, make that happen in your life. And for all you kiwi, aussie and british ex-pats - they actually know how to do a flat-white. A mean flat white at that. !!! Finally if you're looking for some interesting gourmet imported products for your pantry - check out the far wall - pestos, oils, vinegars, pastas, etc. and load'r up.
