The best Haitian patties in Brooklyn, hands down. My only critique is that the meat or fish filling can be a bit light, leaving you with more dough than desired. Still, the flavor keeps me coming back; I’ve been a loyal customer for a little over a decade.

Since I lived in Virginia now there isn't any Haitian bakery. I came across La Baguette shop on Google and they will have a very high rating for their store. I went to the store and a young lady was very helpful and very understanding. Even though my Creole was off a little bit she was still able to understand it.

My first time here at this Hatian bakery.My Hatian and Trini friends keep telling me that their patties are some of the best and tastes very good.So I decided to try it.Got up Friday morning made my way to bakery,where there was paid street parking on Church Ave.I ordered 12 patties ,4 beef,4 herring and 4 saltfish.The herring to me tasted the yummiest because it was a little spicy,and I love spicy foods.So guess what I'm going back today Saturday,to purchase another 12 patties,and their prices are very reasonable.Give them a try if your ever close in the area.

Small interior love their flaky patties can be difficult to know when they have it. So whenever you pass by you can ask and they may say no most of the time but one day they’ll say yes :) Like this day, i took a photo of it cause they had it.

I made an order of four dozen patte (2 fish, 1 spinach, 1 chicken) a few days prior to my book event happening tonight, and when I went to go pick it up this afternoon, they said they didn't have any spinach "in the whole store." The worker told me someone working the previous shift was supposed to call me this morning to let me know. But no one called. I traveled over an hour to pick up my order for a same day event that will be happening just hours later in the evening. They offered to refund me for the dozen spinach (which I hoped to have because of event attendee preference and in case there were any vegetarians who attended). I initially was going to accept but then I just asked them to replace it with an additional chicken since they offered that option of me getting different pattes. My plan at that point, was that I would apologize to any vegetarian attendees who couldn't partake because of dietary restrictions. When I asked them if they could give me some sort of discount for the trouble, they said no. Disappointed, I told them that I traveled from far and this experience makes me feel a lack of trust to patron them for a large order again in the future. Just as an honest informational note. While they did apologize when they told me there was no spinach initially, the lack of trust comment didn't seem to phase them. As a first time author and a Haitian American, I was excited to recommend them and post about them positively on social media for other authors who might use their services for a large order. But this is no longer my plan. I paid for something I didn't get. All items were listed in the receipt, and when I walked in to ask about them at pickup, it was as if they didn't expect me. One the workers in particular seemed surprised to seemingly learn about the pickup. So it definitely gave disorganized. If they had called me this morning, maybe I could have arranged to get spinach patte somewhere else. But they robbed me of that opportunity. Yes, the patties taste good. So I say, only go here for a small order and be wary of trusting them with a large order because they may have organization/communication issues amongst their staff. If you have an important event, I really wouldn't trust it. I wanted the food fresh for same day, so that's why I didn't pick them up the day before.

The fish patties are very good. Came in an hour before closed and still tasted good. Expected them so close to closing to be hard or cold and it wasn’t actually tasted liked was fresh. Worth the price.

There's nothing like a Haitian Patty, the crust is so flaky you can't speak because you're too busy chewing and enjoying it. I prefer this to a Jamaican Beef Patty. Don't fight me, it may not be better but it's different. You can come for patties but when you look at the menu your Haitian ancestors force you to add more to your order. The Akasan (AK-100) tastes great and is a lighter consistency than Crémas (without alcohol). I'd get the Herring patty if I were you, it's fish but with a kick. There's also cod patty, and beef if you want to be safe. Get a dozen at least, you're welcome. Customer service: can be off putting at first, but be firm with your order and don't be indecisive. Got a beef, codfish and herring patty from the Nostrand location. The herring was my favorite. The patties were absolutely delicious, the service was horrible. I'll be back

THANK YOU FINALLY ON A DAY WE GOT LUCKY AND GOT THEIR FLAKY PATTIES. Very unpredictable times to have patties and I've had them once before at canarsie and can never forget the taste cause it was so good. Its flaky and crunchy and flavorful nd delicious. Thank you.

Dropped by this cute little Caribbean shop on my way to the train after an appointment. I really wanted some coffee and maybe a pastry, but the coffee situation there was quire sad. Call me bougie, but I don't like going to places where I have to prepare the coffee myself. I mean, I could just do that at home. I would rather the bodega, store, bakery, make the coffee to my liking. In this case, I asked for coffee with milk and sugar, and was told it was there for me to make. I thought there was milk, or at the very least, some liquid creamer. So, I poured the coffee in a small cup and found out that they only had powder creamer and Half & Half. I'm not a fan of either, but charged me anyway because I had already poured the coffee. At least it was only $1. I added a bit of Half & Half because there was barely any left, as well as the powder creamer. It tasted awful! This solidified my penchant for when I am out and about, only getting coffee if it's made for me. I also got a couple of snacks: Cashews with sugar, ginger and whole peanuts. This was super cheap, at $3.50 each. Then I wanted a Beef patty, but they were already out of that. So, I decided to try the Saltfish patty, which was only $1.40. The patty was thick, perfectly crispy and flaky, with nicely seasoned fish filling. It was pretty good, but I think I would have preferred the beef patty. Service wasn't the best. I like that the prices are very low, but I won't be back.

I remember when they opened years ago and I couldn't stay my ass out of there lol. They have some of the best stuff. Now it's these bow like shaped cookies ( not sure it's a cookie ( but you will see the pic) anywhoz I use to get them like everyday before I got on my express bus, always tried to save them for when I get to work but lol. Anywhoz the patties are very good I like the chicken the most but the others are good and flaky. If you in the area and ya stomach is rumbling trust me you will be good

I really enjoy la baguette. I've been here several times and it never disappoints. The pastry's are always fresh, full with flavor and there's definitely an assortment to choose from. Everyone is always nice and helpful.

Fresh bread always. Am not crazy for the patties but it's ok. Still the best place to buy patties for a large gathering cause of efficiency and price

- Patties are great - It's an awesome and inexpensive lunch and breakfast - I do enjoy the lemonade - If you're not paying attention, you will get line cut by aggressive Haitians - I don't like fish products, but I hear those are the best patties

Came here for a little snack after work, and it was my first time trying Haitian patties. (They still had all the options available after 6pm on a Thurs.) They changed my life. I got 4 patties (2 chicken, 2 beef) for under $6! Amazing! I had them fresh, and they were flaky puff pastries with well-season meat inside. A perfect balance! My boyfriend had some a few hours later, and he said they were still delicious, though I'm sure they're still best still warm. I'll definitely be back! So happy to have this place in the neighborhood. I saw that they also had other patty fillings, cakes, homemade beverages, and other items I'd be interesting in trying as well. TIP: The credit card minimum is $10!

Food was good and service was on time where I was very with everything overall. I have had additional stuff like AK100 - Phoscao which I haven't had for over 30 years.

If you love Haitian patties this is the place for you. La Baguette Shop has so many varieties of patties and treats, it unbelievable. My favorites are codfish, chicken, & spinach patties. The workers are always pleasant and friendly. This place was recommended to me by a business contact. Their Nostrand Avenue location was shock to me because I lived in the community for over forty years and never noticed it until I came to visit and was pleasantly surprised. I've recommended La Baguette to many of my friends. Definitely go there. I go there a couple of times a month as a special treat.

I've had my share of meat Pattie's but never a Haitian patty and when I tell you...I've truly been missing out. The light flaky crust and the perfect amount of delicious beef definitely left me wanting more as I only bought 1 patty! I frequent this neighborhood so I will definitely be back! Always a just when i go to NY. I love my Haitian patties and bread. I always buy extra so i can freeze! The patties are always delicious with its flaky and buttery crust. The bread is just to die for, it is perfect with some chokola or coffee!!

Great patties but they never answer their phone. I am about to pick up an order of 42 of them but they told me to just come. If I have to wait for them to be made I am going to be upset.

What you need to know: - this is a Haitian French bakery that specializes in Haitian patties - they do run out of flavors, so try going earlier than later - patties come in 5 flavors: beef, chicken, codfish, herring and spinach - $1.25 each or $12 a dozen. Accepts debit and credit cards. What I ordered: Beef, codfish, chicken and spinach patties - The patties are delightfully airy, buttery and exceptionally light and flaky. My favorite was the well-seasoned beef patty. The chicken was nice in its mild taste contrasted with the buttery pastry. I thought the spinach wasn't flavored well, while the codfish was a tad too fishy.

Man I love a family business. I've been going to La Bauette since they opened their first spot near my old hood not so far away on Nostrand near Empire. This spot has the same layout, but maybe a bit smaller. Same good food...if you get there in time! Being a bakery and a Haitian one at that, you'll get a french style flaky patty, not like the Irish inspired Jamaican patties in the rest of the hood. The centers are filled with either beef, saltfish, herring (smelly) or my favorite, spinach. When they have the spinach patties (which sometimes they don't and I want to cry) I get 3 of them. I also splurge and get the Limeade because...I like limes. The juice is always fresh and locally manufactured. I love coming here because...well, I come here a lot. It's right by the bus and a great thing to get before yoga. They aren't open super late, and I usually find that if I do catch them after 3 or so, they don't have any patties I'd eat. On holy days, like Easter, they might only make fish patties, just be warned! Oh, and the patties are a dollar!! One buck!!! Get a baker's dozen for 12!!!

Whoa!! We lucked out and caught the codfish patties fresh out of the oven. The spicy herring is also sooooo good. Go there now and eat up a storm on these flaky tasty goodness!

I love Haitian pastries. The patties, sweet pastries and breads are delicious :) The shop was recently renovated, so the appearance has improved which is appreciated. Customer service could be a lot better. The woman at the counter does not know how to communicate in a kind, professional way. Not sure if I will return.

I am making this review short and sweet... And that's kind of what this bakery is, it's small and sweet. It's a no frills kind of place don't come in here expecting to have the carpet laid out for you. Everything is simple but delicious... The Haitian patties here will absolutely change your life. Wow... Excuse me while I collect my thoughts. Okay... Let's try to put in words the level of delicious these things are carrying. The first bite is a layer of a flakey buttery crust... It's almost like a pastry, then the next layer is a soft moist dough, then you get to the core this is where the magic happens... Depending on what flavor you get! I have tried them all and the chicken is my favorite. The chicken filling is a well seasoned and to me it compliments the delicate pastry the best! It's such a great contrast to the buttery crust. Other flavors include cod, spinach, and herring. If you venture into this part of Brooklyn you absolutely have to have one of these treats. Here's a tip... Make sure you eat it directly in the bag. You don't want to miss any of the flakes of the crust that fall off! I personally just stick my head in the bag and go for it! Don't judge me!

I LOVE HAITIAN PATTY! I had a craving, I yelped, and I found this place in my neighborhood. I was "greeted" by a less than enthusiastic older gentleman who looks like he was about to go on break. But it's whatever as long as an employee isn't outright rude I'm cool, I mean we all have our moments. Anyway it smells good in there cute updated decor. I got 2 beef n chicken patties for 1.25 each. Ehhhh I had better, maybe I will go back n try something else but the patties to me were not that great.

If you want fresh bread this is the spot. However, I'm giving them a 3 star for their customer service skills. I always call in advance to set aside wheat bread for, typically I request $20 worth of whole bread. This morning, I called at 8:30am and spoke to Kimberly, I called and ask her to put $20 of bread on the side for me, she agrees. Got here at 9:30am proceed to tell me that I have to wait 10min. WTF?!!! This is every time I come to this place. If your creole skills are not advanced, good luck!! But the bread is sooo GOOD, hence the reason why I always come back. Ugh!

I only have experience buying retail pates from two stores but I like to think that I know a bit from being stuffed with pates at church. My usual go to is immaculee but I wanted to branch out. The space is pretty tight with about 6 adults in the ordering area and having to maneuver around the exit. It was freezing out so the body heat was welcomed. From the photos I thought this would be a bakery with more things on display but the glass was partially blocked by cardboard and a few samplings were placed on the counter. It looked like bon bon and hard dough bread. There's also self serve coffee in the ordering area. The price board is eye level and we got the dozen pates for 11.00. As of Feb. 2016 the price shows $1.25/pate. Good deal for flaky deliciousness but not the cheapest around. We also got 2 drinks, I guess lemonade and tamarind. The label for EVERY drink was the same "citron" but one was clearly brown and the other light yellow. So the packaging could be more accurate. Lastly, I got a carrot cake with raisins. Everything was tasty. Service was friendly and he made sure we knew the order of flavors in the pate box. These were light and flaky, not super dense so more snackable. To compare, I can eat maybe 2 pates from immaculee at a time due to the slightly denser dough and super flaky, multiple layers. I could get a good 3-4 of la baguette's. So these are great if you want more flavors at a time or for a party. This would have been a 4 star I just was expecting a very bakery like, sunny and airy experience from the photos. I was excited to linger and stare longingly at Haitian baked goods. Still a good experience though for passing through quickly. I'd come again.

This is my "go to" shop to get my Herring and Codfish patty (arran a mouri)! While I'm there, I grab a couple of AK100 (Corn milkshake). Now, don't expect anything fancy heck, don't expect great customer service but do expect delicious pastries!

If you love a good Haitian flaky pattie then come here. the patties are only 1 dollar ( say it with french/Haitian accent) . Patties come in chicken, herring, cod and beef. They also had a spinach ones. Worth the dollar and buying several of them!

Go to spot for Haitian beef patties. The spot is pretty tight, but who eats beef patties in the restaurant anyway? I ordered 4 dozen for a party i was having (2 Beef, 1 Chicken, 1 Fish). The patties were an absolute hit with the guests. Prices are pretty fair too, $11 for a dozen.

pasteries are pretty good , i love coming to Flatbush section aint no place like brooklyn where you can get caribbean /West indian food . La Baguette shop and Immaculee Bakery on Nostrand avenue and Linden blvd make the best Haitian Pastries (all in the same area) !!!!!

The patties here are quite delicious. The crust is very flaky and not hard and dry like I have tasted in some other shops. However, that is not what draws me to visit this establishment. The secret is the OATMEAL! They have some of the best oatmeal that I have ever tasted! Unfortunately, most times, they don't have it or its sells out early. Cute little shop. Worth a visit.

This place has spoiled me rotten when it comes to Haitian patties. I work in the area and was introduced to this place by a coworker. One bite of the cod fish patty and I was sold! And that was my first experience with a Haitian patty. Here the patties a ALWAYS fresh, warm and baked on premises. Many times I've walked in and they've been putting them in the oven. The chicken and cod fish are my favorites - they have spinach, beef & herring. The patties are always warm, buttery and flaky with just a perfect amount of filling. You also can't beat the $1 price. This bakery has many authentic Haitian pastries to choose from. The bakery is small and can get crowded at different times of the day. If you're in the area you must stop in and get at least 2 patties (1 isn't enough). I've tried a few other places thinking the goodness is universal, only to be disappointed. I started at the top & have no business going elsewhere.

I don't know where I've been for the past 6 years! And I live so close! I've been looking for a Haitian bakery for some time because most of the bakeries on Flatbush have closed down. I feel most of the bakeries I've known since childhood closed down. Anyway, I did a Yelp search and walked over to this neighborhood gem New Year's Day...and the day after! The patties are so so yummy and just the way it should be. The freshly baked bread paired so well with the soup Jonny I ate all New Year's weekend. I also OD'd on the lime juice! I'm a Haitian girl and soooo happy I get to taste my culture every weekend morning. Tradition continues...

Excellent.The patties are very delicious and full of flavor.I also like that it isn't drenched with oil like the patties I'm accustomed to.As for the service,a little more warmth and friendliness would be great,but the employees never showcased any rudeness.I will continue to come back as well as recommend this business to others.

The patties are good but I will try another franchise location due to a negative experience with staff on 5/26/17. It is disrespectful to wait several mins -10 to 15- without acknowledgement and then have someone come after and have their order taken.

i Love the pate, it's sooo good. small bakery but so tasty , flaky, well seasoned, i love the codfish and the spinach. A must have!
