As a SoCal native, this hotel speaks to the California vibes I'm accustomed to and have been missing up north. The attention to detail in design and warm service match the lovely surroundings. Food is very fresh and yummy. I love the ease of access to the beach and neighborhood fun. All in all, incredibly beautiful and refreshing stay. Will definitely be back!

We recently stayed at the La Bahia Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, and it was a truly healing and memorable experience. If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge, I highly recommend this resort.||The Management & Staff What really made our stay stand out was the exceptional service. A huge thank you to Gabby (Receptionist) and Mikey (Tech) from the management team. They were both incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout our entire stay. It’s clear they truly care about their guests! Additionally, the rest of the staff is available 24/7 and they are all very attentive and kind.||Dining Experience There are two great restaurants in the resort: High Tide and Low Tide. We had brunch at High Tide, and it was spectacular. The ambience is wonderful, but the highlight was definitely the ocean-view brunch. Having a delicious meal while looking out at the water made our trip so much more memorable.||The Location & Vibe You cannot beat this location. It is a true beachfront property with stunning views of the ocean right in front of you. Even the atmosphere is so peaceful and perfect for "healing your body" and relaxing.|Pool, Bar, Jacuzzi, Rooms everything is beyond expectations. |Rest all the Staff was also very kind, smiling and warm gesture.|We highly recommend visiting this place for the beachfront views and the top-tier service. We will definitely be back!

We’ll never forget the evening at The Hotel La Bahia celebrating our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. The rooftop view of the Boardwalk and ocean was beautiful, especially at sunset, and the heaters kept everyone comfortable as the night cooled. The setting was lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff took great care of us. Most of all, the night was filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family and friends being together. As proud parents, it meant everything to us. We’re so thankful to everyone who helped make it such a special night.

Awesome hotel - very romantic and beautiful! Our room number 300 and the lobby are stunning - very beautiful and the music in the lobby was awesome too. We loved the balcony, our friends loved it too - this is a very beautiful hotel. I also loved the complimentary glass of prosecco and non-alcohol option when we checked in. We had a kettle and mini fridge which was very helpful. This is a great location, with the sound of the waves from our bed, and it was very handy to have the 'Low tide' restaurant 2 floors down, with wonderful fish tacos and excellent staff. Room service was not very good, they did not refill the box of tissues in the bathroom which was needed because my husband had a bad cold. They also did not clean the cups and sauces daily once used. We had a sign on the door saying "do not enter" while we took an afternoon nap and the lady still entered our room. I asked for the water to be replaced which I think is complementary and they called to say that it was $3 per small bottle.

Our family spent the weekend at La Bahia to celebrate my youngest son's birthday. First impression, beautifully designed hotel located directly across from Santa Cruz beach; clean, attentive valet as you drive up and excellent front desk staff. There was a bit of a delay checking in due to a mix-up with our credit cards however it was quickly resolved and meanwhile we were treated to beverages and "treasure chest" welcome gifts for our kids. ||Highlights: ||Beautiful views of Santa Cruz from rooftop and pool areas. ||Cleanliness of entire hotel, rooms sustainable room amenities and complimentary beverages and snacks.||Suite decor is a relaxing beach vibe, with a comfortable sitting area, large television and sleeper sofa for guests. King size bed and pillows for a comfortable night sleep with additional television in bedroom. ||Nespresso coffeemaker for coffee or tea, cold beverages and a complimentary bottle of wine!||Bathroom was spacious and provided everything needed for a great customer service experience including robes and slippers.||Heated pool, jacuzzi, bar, outdoor fire pits and well-maintained, relaxing pool environment.||Low Tide restaurant provided delicious starters and entrees for casual dining. It was nice to have options if you don't want to leave hotel. ||Our suites were located on the 3rd floor and we loved that it gave us easy access to the pool deck as sliding doors open out to the pool area.||Valet parking is currently $50 per day, however if you have someone coming for the day or prefer a more economical option, street parking is available around the hotel with the Park Mobile app as the easiest way to pay directly from your phone.||||The hotel still has some "new business" kinks to work out but I still give it 5 stars because it is evident that everyone is working very hard to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Whatever minor issues arose, there was always someone there willing to make things right and prioritize guest satisfaction. ||For our family, these efforts make all the difference and although this is the first time we planned a weekend stay in Santa Cruz, thanks to the great experience at La Bahia, we are now planning to make this a yearly family tradition!

Gorgeous hotel and excellent service. The rooms are beautiful and bed was really comfortable. The location to downtown was a lovely one mile walk. The area has been cleaned up and really improved the ocean front vibe. We didn't try the restaurant but really enjoyed the cool bar in the lobby with two friendly bartenders. We live close by and will come here again for special occasions. Highly recommend.

Our wedding night at La Bahia Hotel & Spa is something my wife and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. After our ceremony, our entire wedding group came to La Bahia, where we had our wedding dinner at High Tide Restaurant and then stayed the night. From the very first phone call, it was clear that this is a place where people truly care. Every interaction felt warm, personal, and thoughtful. We never felt like just another reservation. We felt welcomed and celebrated. In the week leading up to the wedding, Kenneth, the manager at High Tide, was incredible. He helped us finalize our dinner and made sure every detail was exactly right. He was patient, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure our wedding night was perfect. Just as importantly, the entire High Tide serving staff was amazing. Our servers were attentive, friendly, professional, and made our entire group feel taken care of throughout the night. The service was seamless, joyful, and full of positive energy, which made our wedding dinner feel relaxed, fun, and truly special. When we arrived at the hotel, the valet crew immediately set the tone. They were welcoming, professional, and made our entire group feel taken care of right away. Those first moments matter, and they handled them perfectly. The front desk team went above and beyond in ways we will never forget. They decorated our room, left us a handwritten congratulatory note, and checked in on us to make sure we were having a truly special stay. Those gestures may seem small on paper, but in the moment they meant everything. It made us feel seen, cared for, and genuinely celebrated. It meant more to me and my wife than words can fully express. What stood out the most was that this level of care was consistent across everyone we interacted with. Every staff member was kind, thoughtful, and clearly proud of what they do. You could feel how much heart went into creating an unforgettable experience for us. This was a once in a lifetime night, and La Bahia helped make it truly unforgettable. We will always remember how special they made us feel, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in such an important moment in our lives. We cannot recommend La Bahia highly enough.

Beautiful hotel but needs time to figure out a few things. Spa was lovely. Restaurants need more options. At least one bar needs to be open early and one late. Pool bar not open until 11, couldn't get bloody Mary in hotel bar either. Had to go to Low Tide to get. Need to have fire pits at pool going when pool opens at 7am. Overall nice but a bit pricy.

My husband I stayed at La Bahia for one night just a weekend getaway. It was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The moment I arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was beautifully designed , spotlessly clean, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful details such as quiet night pillow mist that made the stay feel special. I especially loved the view of the pool along with the beach behind it, such relaxing ambience; it was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel's amenities were top-notch as well. Whether it was enjoying a delicious breakfast, lounging by the pool, relaxing by the rooftop fire pits or simply taking in the serene surroundings, everything was truly impressive. La Bahia exceeded my expectations in every way. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, high-quality getaway.

Restaurant Review only: Started at the Pearl Bar. Great service. Overpriced drinks. We tried the olives which were great and the homemade chips with Aioli that was terrible. It was like they sat outside in the fog and were served with a side of mayo. Great cozy vibe though with a fireplace and chess. Went to Low Tide which also had a great service but soggy/bland pizza and overpriced drinks. Scoped out High Tide for a possible next time- but it's a Prix Fix menu and forces you to get dessert which we don't want. Would be good to sub out for something else. Looks great up there and I'd love to go- just don't want to be forced to order expensive things that I won't consume. Overall- had promise and I hope to visit again after they get enough feedback to make some changes and then I'll update accordingly.

We stopped by La Bahia Inn to check it out as a possible wedding venue and future stay (rooms are around $550/night). From the moment we walked in, no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. We were able to walk through the lobby, take the elevator all the way up to the 6th floor, and even reach the spa -- all without a keycard or any security stopping us. A staff member, Kim Mutz, eventually approached and asked if we were guests. When we said no, she pointed toward the elevator and said the exit was "this way," which came off as a polite way of being told to leave. It felt dismissive, especially for a property that markets itself as luxury. Beautiful location, but the lack of hospitality and BASIC security doesn't match the price tag -- or what you'd expect when considering it for a wedding or any stay. NOT SAFE AND NOT WELCOMING.

Service sucks!!! The low tide has limited option drinks. So we end up at the "Pearl". The bar people are so unfriendly or very short with the guest. Not just with us but with other guest as well. It's not even a weekend a d they're overwhelmed already. Imagine if it's in the summer time. They need proper training. So many employees bit you don't get good service. Our condo was next door so we were excited to go and check it out for our "out of towners friends". The drinks is so expensive that I laugh. We go next door O'Neils 3x a week . We thought it would be nice to split time from Here and there. Although, the lobby is nice but I expected more.

Beautiful new boutique hotel situated along Beach St. in eclectic Santa Cruz. Nicely Modern Spanish style decor. Cozy Room with balcony that opens to coastal and pier view. Complimentary in-room bottled water and snacks. As with any new hotel, Guest Service is still ironing out their kinks as calls can lead to lengthy hold time. Upgrade options were limited even though rooms were available. No microwave and roll away bed available. Other than that, the ambiance and surrounding are inviting. Not sure about the on-site restaurants as we were hesitant to try based on the other reviews. We'll definitely give it another try in the near future if rates are reasonable.

Beautiful Hotel, But Some Bumps Along the Way I recently stayed at La Bahia, and I really wanted to love everything about it -- and for the most part, I did at first. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a thoughtful layout and clean, modern design that immediately makes you feel like you're on vacation. Everyone we interacted with was attentive and professional, which made the experience feel elevated right from the start. Unfortunately, things took a turn after dinner at High Tide. Not long after eating, my stomach was seriously upset -- enough that I ended up lying on the floor for a few hours. I can't say for sure what caused it, but I suspect the Hamachi Crudo. I don't think it was a full-on foodborne illness, but something definitely didn't sit right. For a restaurant that presents itself as upscale, the food felt more focused on presentation than flavor -- and in my case, the aftermath was memorable for all the wrong reasons. As if that wasn't enough, we woke up around 2 a.m. to find we had no electricity in our room. Thankfully, the next morning the front desk sent an engineer who fixed it quickly (within about 30 minutes). To their credit, the staff handled it professionally and offered a discount for both the spa and our room service the next morning, which I really appreciated. Overall, La Bahia has a lot of potential -- it's stylish, comfortable, and staffed by genuinely caring people. But between the restaurant experience and the unexpected power issue, it's clear the hotel still has some work to do in terms of consistency and guest experience. With a bit more polish (and maybe a chef who values flavor as much as presentation), this place could easily be a five-star destination.

Nestled along Santa Cruz's Main Beach, the Spanish-Mediterranean façade and restored 1920s bell tower instantly set the scene for something timeless -- a blend of Riviera romance and California ease. Christopher greeted us curbside with chilled bottled water; Gabbie and Mykayla followed with flutes of sparkling wine -- a small gesture, perfectly done. The rooms reflect that same quiet precision: refined décor, plush bedding, and all the understated luxuries that whisper, you've arrived. Step outside and you're on the sand. From the balcony, the Monterey Bay horizon unfolds -- the Wharf, the Boardwalk lights, and that golden-hour hush that stops conversation mid-sentence. Dinner at High Tide (with Giacomo's exceptional service both nights) felt like dining inside a postcard -- Pacific Rim flavors, bright and balanced, plated like art. Downstairs, Low Tide carries a relaxed rhythm: approachable bites, ocean breeze, and Santa Cruz at its most authentic. And then there's The Pearl Bar -- where James and Zach prove that great bartenders don't just mix drinks; they curate moods. La Bahía manages a delicate feat: honoring its heritage while feeling entirely new. Elegant without pretense, relaxed without chaos. Weekdays bring calm perfection; weekends, a more "family-forward" energy (with the occasional free-range child). We left refreshed, indulged, and quietly impressed. La Bahía captures the essence of Santa Cruz -- relaxed yet refined -- and adds the polish the coast has been missing. Highly recommended. A gentle reminder for fellow guests: even at pet-friendly resorts, animals belong beside the lounge chair, not on it. Courtesy is a form of luxury. And finally -- Etiquette Rule No. 47: When visiting refined establishments like The Pearl Bar, remember: "resort casual" does not mean "post-pool chaos." The hotel is beautiful and classy, inside and out. We wanted to try "Pearl," the bar in the lobby, but some work was being done. It looks very nice. There isn't a lot of seating at the bar, but I assume you can take your drink to a couch in the lobby. We ate lunch in "Low Tide." There is indoor and outdoor seating. It was pretty full indoors on a Friday afternoon and it isn't very large, so I recommend getting a reservation!!!! (You can do so online). The view was great, the atmosphere friendly, and the food was delicious! We shared a a pizza with chicken, figs, and goat cheese, and it was perfect--the crust tasted like it was baked in a wood-fired oven. For an appetizer, we ordered a grilled artichoke. It was a good-sized artichoke. The only thing I would have like is a little less black pepper. The aoli tasted fresh and homemade. It was actually more reasonably priced than I had imagined. The bill for three people (including a bottle of Rombauer Sav Blanc) came to approx 140.00 including tip, which is not that much more than any other higher-end dining establishment downtown or on the wharf.

We stayed at La Bahia Hotel & Spa for our anniversary, and it was pure perfection from start to finish. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning elegant Spanish Mediterranean design, ocean views, and such a calm, romantic atmosphere. Every detail feels intentional, from the décor to the warm hospitality. The spa experience was heavenly relaxing, professional, and so rejuvenating. It truly added something special to our stay. We had an amazing dinner at High Tide, where the food, service, and oceanfront views were exceptional. For breakfast and lunch, Low Tide Bar & Grill was equally wonderful great food, handcrafted cocktails, and a lively yet relaxing spot with a beautiful bar area. La Bahia is a dream getaway luxurious but still cozy and welcoming. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 28th anniversary, and we can't wait to go back!

Ok, yes, this place is new, and they are working out the kinks.... But I stayed for two nights and had the best time. The hotel is very clean, our room was great. The bartenders (by the pool and in the lobby) were so nice and so was CLINT at low tide! I had a great few days here and hope to come back soon!!!

We wanted to stay someplace special for a special birthday and La Bahia did not disappoint. The grounds were SPOTLESS and decor was tasteful, even a little understated. Lots of open spaces with comfy chairs for casual get-togethers. Nice bar on the pool deck and as you can see from the photos, lots of places to sit and relax. You are close enough to the beach to hear the surf but not so close than it's all you hear. We enjoyed the complimentary wine on our patio while watching beach volleyball in the distance. We selected a room with an ocean view and it was great. The room itself is large and quiet. Really, even the HVAC system was noiseless. Controls for lights and bathroom fixtures were smooth and intuitive. No user manual required. Bed and pillows were exceptional. The only odd thing was there was no desk, which worked for us because we weren't there to bang away on a computer. I guess we've stayed in too many 3 star hotels and it was a pleasure to enter a room with no hotel disinfectant smell or HVAC system howling away. Everyone was friendly and helpful, as you'd expect. We had dinner in the Low Tide restaurant and service and both dishes were splendid. I'm a vegetarian and the mushroom bolognese was one of the finest vege plates I've had in awhile. Prices were what you'd expect with my pasta at $28. I think there's a higher-end eatery but it was not open on Tuesday. We've stayed in world-class lodgings in Nice, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, NY, etc. and La Bahia stacks up pretty well. Given that this hotel has only been open a week, we were mildly surprised that everything worked flawlessly. If there are things still being refined, we did not notice. We're rooting for La Bahia.

This place was absolutely amazing!! The staff was warm and welcoming, the pool and views were incredible, and the modern architecture was truly breathtaking. Our family had an unforgettable time here, and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

Amazing, and a top notch service. Came here for an anniversary staycation with my husband. This property is so clean and brand new from there valet service, check in counter, room that is spotless clean to there in house restaurant High Tide it was what we needed to have a perfect staycation, and that was made possible by the top notched hospitality service of La Bahia. Highly recommended, and best in the area.

Management is a mess and service is terrible. My experience booking with La Bahia has been extremely disappointing. We have a wedding there and made some special requests due to our family's needs. It has taken weeks to book a simple reservation, and I've spent over four hours being transferred between different people, put on hold, and even dropped from calls after waiting 10+ minutes. Every person I spoke with gave me different information. We were originally guaranteed certain accommodations, only for the hotel to backtrack later and say they couldn't actually guarantee them. After all that effort, I was finally told the rooms we needed weren't even available. For a property of this level, the experience has been unacceptable -- unorganized, frustrating, and far from what you'd expect. I'd strongly suggest improving communication and training for your reservations team before more guests go through this kind of ordeal.

I took my sister her for her birthday. We booked two full ocean view premium king rooms with balcony. Is this what we got. No. My room was said to be an upgrade to a room with a fire pit. There was no fire pit but I believe it was a full ocean view room with a balcony. My sister got room 530. Was this what we reserved, NO. There was a small balcony but the view was not a full ocean view because she was next to the elevator which blocked most of the ocean view. This was for her birthday and the room was the worst. The hotel insisted it was the room we booked but it was not. Finally after much discussion and arguing it was not what they say it was, she was moved the last day next door to me. Rooms 501 and 502 must be the full ocean view rooms with balcony. If told different don't believe them. Now these balconies had sofa, table and chairs. But if looking for a private balcony these are not. There really is no separation between the rooms but a concrete area with flowers. But no one was next door so it was ok. Also, when booked we wanted next to each other or close. What we first heard was, not near each other because we did not book same kind of room. Yes we did. Oh yes I see that. But it is just what is available or what is not finished. So very, very disappointed in this transaction. The Spa was the saving grace. Excellent massages, by Ammon?. The spa is beautiful. Steam room not available. Room service: The room service people were wonderful. Smiles and just delightful. Breakfast was great. Except they did not have cream or half and half for the coffee??? The one dinner, not so great. The fig and goat cheese pizza was bland. My pasta dish was not the one I ordered from the in room menu. I guess the chef was confused and made a dish from one of the restaurants. Not what I ordered. We ordered the kids broccoli and carrots. Got big asparagus tips and some awful purple potatoes. It was too much trouble to get items removed so gave up. Oh, they did send 4 little Truffle chocolate for our trouble. Be ware of all the added charges. Especially room service. I tipped but I guess that was on the bill plus who knows what all the other charges were. I asked for the rooms invoices to be emailed, which I have not received. But noticed the money deducted from my account was higher than what I saw on the TV bill. This was on my sister's room, which no room service or nightly valet service was used. All was charged to my room. I have never heard so many sorrys for so many problems. Im sure I'm leaving out more. Maybe going here after being open only a month was a big mistake. My room was beautiful, still not sure the category. But would not go back unless it was a room like 502. The employees were very nice but with so many problems I really feel for them.

Came to check out Low Tide with a group of about seven friends around 7pm on Wednesday. We're all locals and rode our bikes, but when we asked a valet about bike parking, they were disappointed to inform us that none had been planned for hotel guests. They acknowledged it seemed like an oversight in management's hospitality planning. To their credit, they were very gracious and let us park our bikes in the valet garage, though they mentioned that may not always be complimentary in the future. Drinks at Low Tide were solid, but the bar was running extremely slow. Our waiter kindly gave us a heads-up, and he was thoughtful and accommodating throughout. Still, it took about 45 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time (or patience) to wait another 45 minutes for a second round. Overall, we appreciated the effort from the staff, especially our server, but are hoping to see improvements in drink and food wait times, as well as some missed hospitality and service touch points. We're looking forward to coming back and giving it another shot once those areas are smoothed out.

We popped in on a sunny Sunday afternoon for a refreshing drink and a little snack. We tried the crispy chicken lollipops and grilled artichoke, everything was absolutely delicious! The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Plus, the beach view was the cherry on top, making it a perfect way to wrap up our weekend! We will be back.

Only had dinner here but it was excellent. A little pricey but was soooooo good ! Excellent service and view. The ribs and steak were phenomenal.

Visited the Low Tide Bar and Grill on a Saturday for lunch a week after opening. A wait time of 45 minutes so we opted for the bar counter. Big mistake. The facility was very noisy due to insufficient acoustics. The bartenders were preparing mixed drinks with shakers almost non-stop and it sounded like they were right next to your ear. Took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering for a party of 5. I highly recommend the Surf Tacos, one of the best I have enjoyed. It was a busy time of day when we visited. Visit before or after the peak lunch and dinner hours for a more pleasant experience with fewer people.

La Bahia delivers coastal luxury at its finest. The room and public area decor are elegant with interesting art pieces throughout the hotel. Service is top notch, the employees are friendly and welcoming. The room amenities are thoughtfully curated, from the Le Labo bathroom amenities, unique logo items, plush linen in bed and bathroom, and a well stocked mini bar + Nespresso coffee and tea selection. Another impressive part of the offerings are the local snacks (Marini's salt water taffy and popcorn) and drinks (local beer and bottle of wine) that are in the room give guests a sense of place in Santa Cruz. The restaurants, spa, fitness center, pool, lobby are all cozy places to relax. The view from room and pool is stunning as the hotel is directly across and steps away from the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. La Bahia is my new favorite hotel!

DO NOT stay at this place! We had such high hopes because it looked new and trendy and we splurged to stay at the premium room with ocean view. While the room was great and check-in went well, everything went downhill from there. All the amenities said "sold out" in their system but upon touring the hotel one could tell that they just weren't available yet. The restaurant and bar were busy and super understaffed with extremely long wait and nonexisting customer service. After a bad night we decided to order in-room dining and ended up paying $100 for two mediocre breakfasts because of all the hidden fees. They asked for gratuity as if there wasn't a 20% service charge plus delivery fee already, so we tipped a total of 50% of the bill without knowing and the staff didn't even set up the plates. I completely agree with the other reviews that employees at La Bahia needs to be trained/ retrained. This place is not up to par with other luxury hotels at this price point and the best service we got was from the guys who work the valet (by the way parking costs $50 and you somehow have to pay taxes on valet and the resort fee ) If you want a hotel with easy access to the beach just stay at Dream Inn. This place is either not ready for guests yet or will never be if they keep hiring poorly.

This hotel is so beautiful and stunning. The hospitality went above and beyond during our stay. Shout out to Demetris (valet) helped us tips on restaurants and great customer service. Check in was super fast and smooth. Shout out to Jayden for checking us out and being super friendly. At the check in my son was gifted a cute seahorse. Overall great time.

We would give it more than five stars if we could. We are just checking out of La Bahia Hotel and Spa. Mathew Hayes one of the managers on site made sure everything was perfect. Each moment of the experience was amazing. The hotel is gorgeous the decor, furniture and rooms are incredible. The pool area is perfectly designed and the service was excellent. As Santa Cruz locals we will be coming back again and again. We wish them much success!

We went to the low tide restaurant and Cassandra was our server. She was awesome and all the staff was super nice and helpful. The food was good but not all that. But I would recommend because the vibes were great!

We stayed here when they first opened this past September. We were not informed that parts of the hotel were not completed and the spa would not be open yet. In fact, we received a letter saying that everything would be open for our stay, but since it's so new, offered the opportunity to move our stay. Since everything was to be completed by the time of our reservation, we kept it as it was. Big mistake. Not ready for guests at all. Housekeeping was very uneven with the housekeeper failing to clean the coffee area in our room for our entire stay and no replenishment on coffee supplies either. In addition the cups were too small for the Nespresso pods provided, so unless you watching it, will overflow with every cup made. Their dog policy is friendly, but uneven and confusing. You can have your pet for a fee, but you can't leave said pet in your room, and your pets are unwelcome on the pool deck, fitness center and anywhere else you might want to be at the hotel, except the restaurant. They have you sign a piece of paper on check in that you won't have your pet basically anywhere, which also does not feel welcoming. There were so many issues, it's tough to note them all here. But we are unlikely to ever return. Especially since they said they would get back to me to address the issues we experienced, but never did. This tracks with the management of this hotel, which I would give a very, very poor rating. Don't go. There are better places to stay.

Went for a few nights for a quick getaway with family. La Bahia is an absolutely beautiful property with fine details. Even the things that didn't go well, the management was quick to respond. The amenities offered throughout the stay are very nice (welcome glass of Prosecco, candy, wine, and aromatherapy items in the room, robes and slippers, nightlights, umbrella, etc. But, keep in mind that there is a daily $50 resort fee, so you are essentially paying for those items. The Low Tide restaurant was good and the service was attentive. They could use more fish options an and a varied menu between lunch and dinner. By the end of our stay, we were kind of over the menu. Due to the days of the week that we stayed, we were not able to eat at The High Tide restaurant as it was closed. Overall, we had a nice stay and hope to visit again, if we can afford it and if we get rooms not located in the same area (our room was on the same side as deliveries so that wasn't too fun on Monday and Tuesday morning at 6am). But, kudos to the management and staff who were great and had a good sense of customer service and hospitality!

We made reservations in June 2025 for our anniversary in September. We arrived on 9/9 and check in was flawless. We were offered an upgrade to a suite without a balcony but stayed with our king ocean view balcony room. The room was very nice and spacious. Bathroom is lovely with double sinks and huge shower. Nespresso coffee machines were nice but coffee cups in room were too small for the 7.7 Oz pods. We ate breakfast at Low Tide of avocado toast and burrito. Service was very good and food was excellent. High Tide was not open while we were there. Lobby bar was very nice but expensive. La Bahia cocktail was $26. We loved the pool area and spa. Pool bar wasn't open yet but there was a temporary bar with limited drinks available. Valet was $50/night plus $5 service fee. Overall service was excellent and location cannot be beat. Spa was not opened yet but walk through looked beautiful, especially roof top deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would likely stay again. The one big negative was that we booked our room for an advertised rate of $569/night INCLUDING all fees. Our room actually cost $691/night due to additional taxes and fees. When we called to inquire about the room charge and what fees were included, we were told to look at our final billing. When we pressed as to what fees were included, the reservation clerk didn't seem to understand our confusion. When an advertised room charge says including fees, it does not seem additional fees will be charged. Especially when the clerk could not tell us one fee that was included other than the room rate.
