La Banana Fruits

Ordered the El Jefe Torta, so good!!! Wow! The bread quality was perfect, tasted freshly baked and not overly bready. Just perfect! This sandwich also had a kick to it with spice which I loved because I love spice. Also ordered the mango sorbet soo good with lots of chia seeds and a strawberry banana smoothie which was delicious! The quality here is top notch, highly recommend!

I did a google maps search for healthy foods and this place came up near the top even though i was way up in north Oside. I still had to go. It looked pretty attractive. These folks make some good stuff. They got all kinds of amazing looking foods, but I ordered their Pico De Gallo, like a weighty fuit and veggie salad with chili lime salt and chamoy, and then I got a ham and turkey torta. It was excellent - thick and tasty and also quite heavy. Half was a full meal for me and I'm a big guy. I planned on saving most of the Pico for the next day or so but it's mostly gone already. That fruit is incredible. Guy wasn't kidding when he said this fruit is perfectly ripe. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and I appreciate their kindness. What they're offering is exceptional and you'll probably still be surprised at how good this stuff is.

La Banana fruits is sooooo good! I had a Lomo Torta and the whole sandwich tasted fresh and reminded me of authentic Mexican sandwiches. They use fresh ingredients and the food tastes like it’s made with so much passion and love. You definitely have to come try it out.

I am in the process of devouring down a Cremoso bowl! It's like a fruit salad with a sweet dressing topped with all the crunchy goodies.. People make your way to this new place so it stays open and I can keep going to get my sweet fix.... Yum! Update 2023: they moved to a bigger suite with tables. Make sure to check them out.

This plaza was not busy on a Saturday midafternoon. We were the only customers when we arrived. There was plenty of seating even when other customers trickled in later. They have high and low tables suitable for kids. I got the Lomo torta and it was truly a good sandwich. The bread is like a larger version of a baguette and with a softer exterior. The bread was well buttered and toasted. The meat to veggie ratio was perfect for me -- about half-half. With the generous avocado and mayonnaise, the torta tasted really indulgent but did not give me an overly heavy after feeling. I ended up only eating half the Aorta since I also got a Smoothie. I got the Dragon Slayer. Great if you like acai. I could not taste dragonfruit but it's a nice addition nonetheless. The smoothie was so smoothly blended, it was like a drinkable sorbet. Deliciouslybl sweet and refreshing. Like others have said, La Banana is a hidden gem.

Ordered take out for the Açaí bowl and it was DELICIOUS and fresh! Was worried about the bowl being melted, but didn't have to worry. The açaí sorbet was yummy. The coconut and raw sunflower seeds added character. The fresh strawberries and banana were easy to mix in. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Delicious sandwiches and fruit smoothies, they are always friendly and offer fast service. The place has a few tables and a great atmosphere.

Sooo fresh and sooo good! I come here every now and then during my lunch break for a smoothies and everything tastes super fresh. The staff is super friendly every time I go in and the dragon butter is probably my favorite!

We tried one of their dragon fruit drinks at a street fair and loved it, so we decided to try their store location. This was our first visit to the La Banana store front and it was all perfect. The interior was a little basic, but that's fine with me. We did find a bunch of little characters throughout the store, which was fun for my daughter. The owners were present and described all their food selections in detail. We decided on the Chicken Chipotle torta and Chicken Caesar salad. After we ordered that, we spotted the homemade flan and had to get that too. I was told the flan is a family secret recipe. We took all the food home and shared. Everything was packaged nicely and it was all delicious. If you like flan, you have to give it a try because it was delicious. Support local and give LBF a shot.

Today was my first time here and I will definitely be back! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Sean and samples. He gave us a run down of the menu and was incredibly kind. We got a chicken chipotle torta, the dragon fruit passion lemonade and the mango açaí bowl. Everything was fresh and YUM. Before we left, someone came out to make sure we were satisfied and to say goodbye. 10/10 recommend.

I came here randomly because I was taking my Dad to the dentist next door. Their strawberry and banana smoothie was the best smoothie I ever had. I also got the Chicken Chipotle sandwich and it was very delicious. I gotta try the El Jefe or Jacked Chicken Chipotle Torta next time.

My family and I absolutely love coming here! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care. We wholeheartedly recommend this place easily a 10/10 experience every time!

I'm so sad to come on here and leave a review like this. I used to come here all the time years ago when they were open in the chevron gas station, but now it's IMPOSSIBLE to even stop in. We went in on thursday around 1:30, door open and employees inside, keep in mind business hours states open until 2, they told us they were closed. I have tried numerous times prior with calling in an order and they never answer even though business hours states they're open. I just wish they would update their hours to what they TRULY are. Their hours seem very limited and even then they don't honor them all the time. I work weekdays 8-5 so I can't come during the week and I'm off weekends which they're closed sat-sun. Whenever I happen to have a day off during the week I try every time to order something but even within 'business hours' it seems unlikely. I wish they were open during more practical hours or on days when most of us aren't working so everyone can enjoy!

Amazing service- the owners are such good people and were so awesome with giving us samples when we weren't sure what to get. The açaí bowl was so good (we got the peanut butter açaí), their smoothies were fresh and perfect (tropical and strawberry-banana), and the torta was delicious (we got the jacked chipotle). Definitely recommend and will be coming back! Did not disappoint!

Online ordering was great! My order was ready at the time I noted during my order. They were friendly upon walking in through my pickup. Why the two stars? Well, while I understand it's summer and kids are out of school and likely childcare is limited (for whatever reason) I found it unsanitary that the two kids were eating (and walking around) behind the counter where food is prepared and served. It would have been more appropriate to have them sit at the tables in the restaurant. It was empty, it was 11 AM, maybe they've been there a long time, but to allow them eat in an area prone to cross contamination really puts into question all food safe/hygienic practices there. If they're "working" it's a child labor issue because they were maybe 8-12 years old, but I digress. The sandwiches (turkey tortas) lacked turkey. There was one slice of turkey and the whole thing really tasted like I was eating a lettuce and mayo sandwich. The bread was fresh and quite tasty though. While I was hoping for better quality, I looked back at the photos on yelp and their website and the sandwiches are pretty sparse in pictures too. It's cheap deli meat for a $13 sandwich. Bolios (torta bread) aren't expensive, so maybe it's their overhead that drives the cost of the sandwich? Anyway, won't be back!

Best Agua Fresca and lemonade In town. It's located inside of chevron gas station soon as your turn right you will see colorful menu. The gentleman who's the owner was so nice and even let me try some samples!!! I got to try horchata made of OaT!! So it's more creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon. The dragonfruite lemonade was top notch with pieces of real fruite!!! I also got Watermelon Fresca and it tasted like the just squeezed juiciest watermelon that is perfectly ripe. And if ur hungry make sure to get some tortas too. Toasty and soft every bite of the bread and everything u want in torta. It's in there!!! I will be often lol

What a hidden gem tucked away in the chevron gas station. Fresh and healthy food lovingly made to order. Smoothies, sandwiches, fruit bowls, açaí bowls - yum! Pop in and see Sean and Laura who takes so much pride in preparing and interacting with their guests :) my favorite: fruit bowl with cream and add nuts with a fresh squeezed lemonade. My son loves the warm sandwiches and smoothies (made only with fresh fruit!)

First time and definitely not my last one , The owner and his wife are really friendly there place it's super clean My Tostilocos we're amazing everything taste super fresh but the Agua de Horchata (Oatmilk base) mmm super Deli Highly recommend.

My fact still stands: any food places that reside in a gas station are * Owners were super helpful giving us free samples of their fresh fruit water * We got the PB acai bowl , the strawberry fruit water (fresh), and oreo shake which wasn't in the menu but they had some oreos and made handmade shakes !! Super friendly peeps. Wish they were open passed 7pm !!!

Delicious food and amazing service! I got the special torta and four berry blast smoothie with spinach and vanilla protein. They even brought me a sample of my smoothie to taste before they brought my order out to me to ensure I liked it. Never had that level of service before! Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

Lovely family owned business with great food selection and even better taste! Their service was great, super attentive and the environment was cozy. The açaí bowl I got was the PB and the picture didn't do the justice since I took it after I started scrambling it! They also had art for sale and of course I'm a spam jam fan so I had to buy one. I got a tropical smoothie with almond milk and OMG DELICIOUS! It's the perfect size & perfect price. I went a little before closing so only got a smoothie but will be back to try their sandwiches. The two people working were very friendly and my smoothie was out pretty quick.

I've been going to LBF for a few years and have always loved the food and service! Now, since moving into their new location I can confirm they are 3/3 for food, service AND ambiance! Truly appreciate the level of customer service from the owner Sean and his family. It's always a highlight of my day when I stop in for the chicken chipotle torta! 10/10

Went to la banana after looking for a place near by that has acai bowls. Right when we walked in the door we felt welcomed in by a wonderful family. They were great at answering our questions. Acai bowls were amazing. My wife got a salad that was great! We also got two protein smoothies which were fantastic. Will be back again for sure.

Came here today for lunch after browsing Yelp for local eateries. It was awesome! It's located inside the Chevron gas station for anyone who can't find it. The owner was so nice! It was our first time here and I got the churolocos and my friend got a fruit mix. He explained the business to us, offered samples on their amazing fresh fruit waters and gave us samples of their fresh fruit with cream. My snack was so good! They were fresh and tasted great. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice healthy snack or lunch. Can't wait to go back and try more menu items! A+ on service and food!

Stopped in at La Banana today. The staff was very friendly! We got to sample the tropical and go-to smoothie which were both very delicious. My son ordered a strawberry shake which was very creamy and fresh. We also tried some fruit salad which was cold, crisp, and super fresh. Will definitely be back to try the tortas and other items! Yummmmm!

Came here for the second time today. The first time we got a large fruit tray for a party and today we ran in and got a couple of large fruit bowls! Their fruit is always delicious and beautifully presented. They have a cream sauce that goes with the fruit that is just amazing. I want to put it on everything.

The owners working In there and their kids are ALWAYS sooo sweet and you can tell they really care about their restaurant. I just got the chipotle chicken sandwich and the tostilocos and both were seriously delicious!! Both items were SO fresh and you could really tell. This place is seriously so yummy!
