La Banasterie

What a lovely place to stay in the heart of old Avignon! Fabrice and Véronique were incredibly welcoming, we got all the tips we could possibly need (museums, restaurants, day trips in the region). Room was very comfortable and breakfast great. We could not have asked for more.

Our stay at Banasterie in Avignon was great. We loved everything about the place,the neighborhood and of course the people. The owners are so kind and tell you everything you need to know about Avignon. Our room had everything we needed it was clean with lovely decoration . The breakfast was homemade served in a beautiful room. Totally recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at La Banasterie! Veronique & Fabrice were the most pleasant and helpful hosts. They were willing and able to assist us in making reservations, recommendations, providing maps to the area, refreshments, etc. Our accommodations were charming and the location of La Banasterie is excellent for exploring Avignon. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Such a lovely place to stay in Avignon. Amazing location, right next to the Palais des Papes down a beautiful quiet cobblestone street. The room was large, bright and comfortable (especially the bed). Common spaces were lovely and well appointed. Breakfast was a highlight - so many pastries and homemade goodies in a beautiful room. Fabrice and Véronique were warm and very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend. ||Only one word of warning to older folks: there is a quite a walk from the parking to the B&B over cobblestones and the stairs are small and steep. To me, this added to the charm, but might not be for everyone.

This lovely guesthouse is located on a quiet street in the center of Avignon and close to the major sites as well as to great restaurants. The experience was enhanced by the friendly hospitality of the charming hosts, Veronique and Fabrice. They did everything possible to make sure our stay was perfect and had great recommendations for sites to visit, museums, markets and walks in Avignon. They assisted us with reservations to several outstanding restaurants that we easily walked to. The breakfast they prepare is exceptional and is characterized by their homemade yogurt, granola and jams as well as a plenty of local cheeses, meat, pastries and honey.

What a great value in Avignon! We really enjoyed staying here and getting to know our hosts. They went over board to make us welcomed. Make sure you get their dinner recommendations - they were spot on. The place and clean and comfortable. Brekfasts were good, including home made yogurt and jams.

La Banasterie offers B&B charm with delightful hosts! You'll find yourself ensconced in a tastefully restored 1500s townhouse right off a cobbled square, just a short walk to everywhere you'd want to go in Avignon! Blackout drapes and shutters, safe, mini frig and well equipped bathroom, lovely linens and a super comfy bed eases away travel time change into a good night's rest. Super accommodating to dietary challenges with lots of yummy choices at breakfast. Our room had a dressing area, an adjacent reading room (perfect if you have a third person) plus access to a terrace!

Beautifully furnished and decorated house with large rooms. Additional terrace and small sitting rooms available for the guests. Instead of minibar, there is a honesty bar with a good selection of local beers and wines. |Very nice breakfast, the bread selection changes every day. Personal favorite was the homemade yoghurt with homemade granola. |Crazy staircases may make it hard to navigate for some.
