Stayed as a couple in the Apartment for 6 nights. Véronique reached out to coordinate our arrival, met us at check in, and gave thoughtful recommendations for restaurants near the hotel for our stay as well as activities that we might enjoy. Continental-style breakfast, served daily, consisted of breads, cheeses, yogurt, muesli, jams, fruit, eggs (if desired), coffee and juice -- all sourced daily from local markets. It was a great start to each of our days. We had early tours on some mornings, before regular breakfast hours, and were offered either breakfast a few minutes earlier than normal as that worked for us one morning, and were left items in our refrigerator the night before on another where we needed to make a very early start. Our apartment was more than large enough for 2 people with a king bed, living room with kitchenette, and bathroom with shower. Two floor to ceiling windows allowed is to open the space onto the medieval street. While an A/C was available, we did not need it in early October. On the last day we were offered a taxi booking to the TGV station and given a place to store our bags after check out so that we could explore the city more until our train back to Paris. I cannot recommend this guest house enough to anyone staying in Avignon. It is perfectly located in the old city center, walking distance to sites, restaurants, and transit options (the TGV station on the outskirts being the exception). There are plenty of parking options nearby if you rent a car (we did not) so don't feel that staying in the center will be difficult with a car.

Step inside this old building and begin experiencing the history and charm of the walled city of Avignon. Well located to explore the narrow streets, pedestrian walks, churches and squares. As others have stressed, the welcoming initiation by the innkeeper is thorough and appreciated. Our room, the Trinitario Suite, had space to move around in and its windows opened to the sights, sounds and fresh air of old Avignon. The bathroom was quite small but efficiently laid out and very clean. Breakfast was perfect; breads, muesli, homemade yogurt, a scrambled egg, coffee and tea. On the morning of our early departure, they left food out for us. They also steered my wife to a doctor with walk-in hours for her badly congested ears. We loved Avignon and really appreciated La Banasterie.

Wonderful place to spend a holiday. The hosts are very welcoming. They share a lot of information about Avignon. The breakfasts are a satisfying start to the day.

The house is original 500 year old architecture, beautifully restored and furnished with lovely items.|Fabrice welcomed us in a little living room and recommended restaurants and places to visit.|Breakfast was a simple but delicious Juice, bread, pastries , yoghurt and cereal with fresh coffee. Some fresh fruit salad and scrambled eggs cooked to order. We left early on our last day and Fabrice was kind enough to set out a breakfast for us to help ourselves to. |Having spent a few days in a small room in Nice for a similar price we were. Delighted with a king sized bed, a big bathroom, small sitting room/single bed and a nice terrace.|There were two narrow stairs cases to our room, but not a problem for us. Fabrice did help with our suitcases.|The location is on a small street, just around the corner from The Palace De Papes and was within a few hundred meters of squares, restaurants and bars. Several within 50 meters.|There was a little street noise in daytime and early evening hours but very quiet at night considering the central location.|We had a minor problem with a window blind (my fault) which was dealt with politely and without any fuss. Great service.||If we are in Avignon again we will definitely return.

What a lovely place to stay in the heart of old Avignon! Fabrice and Véronique were incredibly welcoming, we got all the tips we could possibly need (museums, restaurants, day trips in the region). Room was very comfortable and breakfast great. We could not have asked for more.

Such a lovely place to stay in Avignon. Amazing location, right next to the Palais des Papes down a beautiful quiet cobblestone street. The room was large, bright and comfortable (especially the bed). Common spaces were lovely and well appointed. Breakfast was a highlight - so many pastries and homemade goodies in a beautiful room. Fabrice and Véronique were warm and very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend. ||Only one word of warning to older folks: there is a quite a walk from the parking to the B&B over cobblestones and the stairs are small and steep. To me, this added to the charm, but might not be for everyone.

We had a wonderful stay at La Banasterie! Veronique & Fabrice were the most pleasant and helpful hosts. They were willing and able to assist us in making reservations, recommendations, providing maps to the area, refreshments, etc. Our accommodations were charming and the location of La Banasterie is excellent for exploring Avignon. We could not have asked for a better experience!
