Found this place by accident and when I saved the restaurant in my google map, I just wrote “must surely be the best cacio e Pepe in Rome”. Amazing place, would highly recommend.

Probably my favorite wine bar in Roma! Found it by accident and I'm glad I did. The wine was impeccable. Sat outside while having a cigar was a great pre-dinner spot! I'm glad I was able to experience this place.

Google
Little Roman cafe with very knowledgeable service and ownership. Lots of good wines presented like in a wine shop with their price on it. They give you good advice on pairing and will not break your bank. This is the kind of little place typical of the city minus the tourists.

We ate at La Barrique three times on a two week visit to Rome for work. Each time, the food, natural wines, atmosphere and service were great! I would highly recommend the baby octopus and the beef cheek. The wines by the glass changed across our visits so we were able to try many different wines - the orange wine in particular was really good. When we're next in Rome we'll definitely be booking here again!🍷

Located in a cute part of town. They have a wonderful selection of natural wine. The owner is knowledgeable of natty wine, so ask away for recommendations. They don’t have a long list of food. The food is less oily than your typical Roman food.

Great vibe, very friendly staff, incredible carbonara, sauteed escarole, and steak. One of our favorite meals during our 2 weeks in Italy!

Leaving the Colosseum in a Sunday afternoon we found this place off the main road and couldn’t have been any luckier. The patio was very quiet and cool and food a 10/10. It was so relieving to dine at a non-tourist trap restaurant. We ordered meatballs which came with red peppers sautéed. The meatballs were flat but delicious and the red sautéed peppers were basted in cheese and olive oil. WOW!!! This dish was absolutely amazing and I almost ran it back for seconds!!! Seriously. My wife got pesto pasta that came with small sautéed potatoes and it was absolutely delicious. Before leaving we decided to try their tiramisu which the waiter said was the best around. I’m not a big tiramisu lover but can honestly say it was also amazing. If you’ve happened abreast this restaurant look no further and come try it. You will not be disappointed.

Wow, the seabass melted in your mouth. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. The service was quick and informative. The wine menu is extensive for bottle service. A limited one is available by the glass. The atmosphere is classy and has the feel of an Italian dinner experience you are looking for. The dessert menu is limited and varies by night.

Yelp
Such a good discovery in the heart of Monti! Some friends introduced me to this spot on Via del Boschetto not far from the iconic and photogenic Via Panisperna. It is a small venue so is normally smart to book ahead but we got right in at about 19:30. Mainly an enoteca, La Barrique also has an incredible kitchen. I ordered seabass topped with pistachio crumbs and fennel salad on the side. My friends ordered beef steak wrapped in lard and tagliatelle pasta with rabbit. All were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The desserts did not disappoint either. The cheesecake, apricot tart, and chocolate cake were wonderful. None was too sweet, and the portions were generous. Of course since this is an enoteca the eine list was extensive and the wait staff was very helpful in assisting us pair our wine with the food. Overall a very pleasant visit and would definitely recommend it as a top dinner choice in the Monti area.

Yelp
What a great find! We strolled by la Barrique and are so happy we came inside this welcoming and truly perfect Cucina. The wine that was suggested was perfect, the pasta dishes were delicious and the Tiramisu was the best we've had. And also... the really kind people. Truly kind and delightful to talk to! Will highly recommend!!

Yelp
Such an amazing restaurant!! It's only our first day in Italy and they have made us feel at home! Going back to a restaurant for food and drinks twice in 6 hours, says something about a place! AWESOME HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Yelp
Hidden gem. Small place, excellent food, very nice wine list. The servers are very friendly; they spoke English when necessary and were very polite and patient with my much less than fluent Italian. I was the only non-Italian in the place which speaks to their authenticity. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This is the type of wine bar you go to for one drink pre dinner and end up having three plus dinner. If you're there in a two or three, order the 250ml carafe so that you can try all of the by the glass wines. The food here was excellent (with a touch of French influence). We had a house made pasta with duck ragu and a tartare. The menu wasn't long and if there was more than two of us I would have tried to make my way, sharing of course, through the menu as everything looked so good. There are a couple of tables out on the road but the real atmosphere is inside. It's super cosy and but buzzing with lots of nice bottles of wine to look at behind the bar Excellent staff who know their wine and will lead you in the right direction as to what wine you should be drinking. Wine list seems to a rotate a fair bit too.

Yelp
If this was based solely on food qualify, it would warrant a 5. However, when we arrived at opening hours (7 pm), we were begrudgingly seated and then ignored for about 15 minutes before receiving menus. Took another 15 minutes to receive water and wine - in a restaurant that wasn't busy and had only about 12-15 tables. Service was slow and not overly friendly but WOW the food WAS PHENOMENAL Had the meatballs and the Pork shank. Both were delicious and had us scraping the plate to get all the scraps and sauce. So, if you are patient and are happy to spend 1.5 hrs eating a one course meal, go on in!

Yelp
This is my first review and I'm mainly doing this, because this place needs to be more visible on Yelp. Wonderful lunch at a perfect price point and a ridicolous selection of quality natural wine from Italian producers, as well as some top french and austrian producers. Do it!

Yelp
This cute little cosy wine bar is situated in the area of Monti. You will find a good selection of wine (limited choice if you order by the glass) and you can also order some delicious affettati and various stuzzichini to go with your drink. The location has something intimate and invites you to long conversations .... it is great for a relaxing aperitivo or after-dinner drink with a small group of friends .

Yelp
La Barrique is a charming but very refined enoteca located down the Quirinal Palace (president's residence). The decor is quite simple, white walls, and thick wood tables. The silverware, glasses and plates are all top quality but simple. The lunch menu is quite straightforward: La Barrique offers 4-5 primis and 3 secondis. In addition, they offer sides with the secondis. I had a plate of spaghetti with tomatoes and basil, perfectly executed. My secondi was thin slices of roast beef with very thin slices of oven baked potatoes. My friend also had a primi, secondi and a side. we each had two glasses of very good wine from lazio, total bill: EUR 40. Great place!

Yelp
Casual high quality cosy friendly quietly ambitious. I love this place.
