We had a lovely experience during our high tea at La Bauhinia. The space is so beautiful and well taken care of. The pastries made by chef Maxence Barbot were truly amazing! So flavorful I can still taste it… The service was as well good and fast. I would say maybe the only note I have is that I am surprised that not all the teas that they serve are bio (on the menu it only says the rooibos is bio). Considering the price you pay for it I would have assumed you should get the best of the best to be honest..actually this should be the case with everything that you order here in my opinion. Maybe they use a lot of bio ingredients, but that is not stated on the menu. Could be a nice touch :)

I had a lovely experience at La Bauhinia. The food was tasty and the service was immaculate. I also got offered macaroons as it was my birthday. Thank you for the great service!

I made a reservation here because I love the Asian fusion style they incorporate into their menu to match the hotel's aesthetic. The food was decent—not bad, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. Being located inside a hotel, the atmosphere was elegant and comfortable. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The staff lacked attention to detail, there were several miscommunications, and the overall attitude felt cold and unwelcoming. A few unfriendly stares didn’t help the experience either. Overall, the setting was lovely, and the concept has potential, but the service needs serious improvement to make it worth a return visit.

The atmosphere is so beautiful and they are so friendly. You can experience the Parisian dinner you dream of here. However, the description of the food was lacking and communication was difficult. I asked for raw fish but they served me a main dish of cooked fish. I even had to pick out the fish bones myself. I left more than half of it.

Went for the seafood brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ironically the plated dishes weren’t my favorite - started with caviar, which was good but not amazing. Then had an egg dish with caviar on top - I enjoyed that a lot. Also enjoyed the aubergine. I thought the mains were just fine but could be because of what we ordered. I much preferred the seafood and the cheese offering, which was so decadent and delicious. And the bread options were to die for, I kept going back for more. The desserts off course were so tasty. I’d recommend going with a bigger group - 4 or more if possible to try more without wasting. I went with just my mom so it obviously felt wrong to get a lot and not eat it all so we limited ourselves- but with a bigger group one can try more. Also the setting is beautiful and the staff is so kind: the service is amazing. Strongly recommend!

We had lunch at the garden absolutely delicious and outstanding service, from the doorman to the reception and waiter are very attentive. Upon arrival you walk to the outdoor area with a stunning view of the sky in the garden with a view of the Eiffel towel. We had caviar, tuna tataki, lobster salad, lobster toast and children had kids meals. Price is upscale from beverages to foods reflect to their high standard service and quality.

Me and my husband stayed two nights in Shangri-La hotel. Normally when you come to a five-star hotel, with a Michelin-star restaurant, you expect the bistro in the hotel would be also delicate, delightful, top quality bistro food. Honestly, we have to say the quality of the food is under our expectation. We ordered a Thai salad, a fish salad, a burger for our kid, as well as one lobster salad and white fish dish as our main course. The Thai salad was exactly the same as you would have in any street pub/ bar/ bistro in Thailand, nothing special but maybe 10 times the price. I don’t know if the restaurant has changed chef recently, but all the dishes looked nothing like the pictures in the official website or in the previous comments. When the dishes arrived, I had a feeling I was in some mass-market Parisian restaurant for tourists: the visual layout of the dish was messy, fish was over cooked, the lobster was dull, the only highlight was maybe the French Fries from the children menu for my kid. The decoration and atmosphere was good, but nothing comparable to Ritz or Peninsula. Honestly, if you are looking for delicious food, there are much better price for value options in Paris. If you are looking for good atmosphere, it is ok but nothing romantic or special. Hope this would improve, Shangri-La means heavenly beautiful place, I hope the brand shall live up to its name.

Fine dining Asian cuisine, very friendly waiters. Great presentation of food, as well as tasty. Small potions, the lobster French toast was very nice, the lobster raviolis was a bit too hard to chew.

Yelp
This place offers an amazing brunch complete with a set menu and a substantial buffet style offering that has tons of desserts, a seafood area, from age and of course a crepe bar. Pretty much everything about this place is legit and my go to for brunch when I'm in the area. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it for what you get. Be sure to come hungry....

Yelp
It's got the Michelin star rating .. so you know, 1 week reservation wait times (recommend calling ahead) make you feel .. exclusive upon entry. I'll share slightly more attuned rating metrics to accentuate. Gorgeous interior, staff and good food. YAM MAMA KAI: 4/5 DUCK FOIE GRAS 5/5 LE MAIGRE: 3/5 L'ENT RECÔTE DE BŒUF: 5/5 CHEESECAKE POMELO ROSE: 4:5. Staff: 5/5 Interior design/space allocation by design: 5/5

Yelp
A friend who lives in Paris, recommended me to try La Bauhinia for a weekend brunch as he raved about it. However, I could not get a reservation so I selected a weekday lunch. Located at the decadent and royal Shangri-La Hotel in the back is La Bauhinia. The menu is relatively simple, yet elegant, with class and they highlight the lobster. For our entrees, we selected the highly recommended sea scallops, along with the cooked to order steak, which came with tasty mashed potatoes. My highlight and my favorite dish, where I will fly to Paris just to order it again, would be the Le Vacherin Kiwi Et Pomme Verte (Green apple and kiwi vacherin). It is the most exquisite dessert I have ever had, from the crunchy apple to the chunks with the kiwi texture, it was stunningly presented.

Yelp
Located in Shangri la hotel in Paris. I was happy that my partner was able to get a reservation here. The food here is definitely five star and service was pretty exceptional. Be ready to show your France health pass or covid vaccination card in order to enter the premises . Got seated upstairs and the view we perfect as we were in the center of the restaurant , overlooking the beautiful view of the whole restaurant including the centerpiece chandelier. For appetizer we got the foie gras served with bread. The foie gras are usually made with duck or goose meat. It definitely tasted unique. For the Main entree I got the scallops. I wished they seasoned it a little more as the flavor was lacking a bit. My partner got the sea bass which he said was all right but lacking a bit of salt and pepper.

Yelp
Without a doubt, this restaurant is a 5* restaurant. I had food only from the Asian menu, but I would imagine the French food here should be equally good. The food is exceptional. We were here on dinner with clients. The Tum Kha Kai soup was very flavorful and aromatic. They must have used the freshest coconut. You could smell it in food. The chicken satay was equally good, but I will go with some other entree the next time. Service: the service is good as well

Yelp
Fantastic dining experience. The dining room is magnificent! Such a comanding, yet soothing atmosphere. I can imagine power lunch meetings as well as romantic proposals. They even have two larger tables perched on the second floor overlooking the main dining rooms. The large skylight is rumored to be deisigned by Gustof Eiffel. The menu is a mix of French and Asian - not fusion. The different ingredients compliment one another well. There are so many delicate flavors as you savor each bite. I will definitely continue to go back to this restaurant. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here on several occasions. Has a private dining room, so good for groups.

Yelp
My review is for the vegan tea time. Five stars for the experience (the place is impressive) and 4 stars for the food, but since what matters after all is food, 4 stars over all. Let's start from the context: entering into the room really feels like stepping in an out of this world place, everyone is there to please you, a pianist is playing standards in the background (or foreground, depending on where you seat), attentive service. For vegans, this is truly exceptional. I doubt there are better vegan pastries worldwide or a more luxurious vegan experience. For non-vegans, some Parisian pastry shops can offer better, but even among non vegan pastries these are contenders. We had: savory sandwiches, scones (plain and with dried fruits) with jam (delicious) and vegan whipped cream, three pastries, petits fours and a tea. We had a white tea (silver tips) and an oolong that were perfectly infused when they arrived at our table (and at the right temperature! It's so easy to 'kill' tea). The highlights were of courses the pastries: one was exceptional, layers of nut cream with a fruit filling and something like a graham cracker underneath (but a five star hotel version of a graham cracker), the other two were very good but more standard (a fruit entremet with an interesting almond filling and a chocolate tart). The scones were very tasty and crumbly (in a good way). The low point was the savoury part: its role was rather perfunctory (3 tiny pieces) and the taste not special. We didn't have any place left to eat the petits fours, but luckily one can bring leftovers home in a box offered by the waiter. I had some of them the day after so I can't say how they were fresh, since they had time to get a bit soggy. Therefore I suspend judgement. I truly enjoyed my tea time there, but the food had some low points. I would rather have one pastry less (no chocolate tart that was too heavy and filling) and a more elaborate savory part.

Yelp
Simply the most remarkable desserts I have had in my entire life. Thank you Paris for doing vegan so very well. I would get back on the plane and fly to Paris just to eat at this restaurant.

Yelp
La Bouhinia is the lunch and dining room of the relatively new Shangri-La hotel in Paris. The room is beautifully decorated in an Asian stile mixed with a rather pompous Bordeaux red colored central sofa-like seat (Slightly low and uncomfortable). The reception is flawless and discrete. We were there for the afternoon (high) tea and were looking at a mix of new and traditional sandwiches scones and pastries. The scones were superb. Clotted cream was more like a whipped cream though and the jellies were in the familiar mini jars. Pastries were delicious and plenty (filling). The disappointment was the tea itself however. Plenty of choice but the first batch was not really hot and the second batch really (way too) weak (did they use the same tea bag again?). The service was not very attentive and very slow but friendly and correct. Yet I give the whole experience a four star rating because there is no 3.5. The background piano music was entertaining.

Yelp
Had a sumptuous vegan pad thai last evening. It was so good I didn't get a picture of the beautifully presentation. Same for the desert of lemon ice, served with whipped almond cream - just have it and you'll imagine clouds. Ask your waiter for wine suggestions - Wine Spectator at least ratings of 92+ deserving selections.

Yelp
Pricey, but very nice ambiance and service. The food was very good and worth the price. The piano player was first class and added to,the atmosphere. I had Thai and my wife ordered French. We both enjoyed the fare.

Yelp
The food at this restaurant made me forget that I was missing out on authentic French cuisine, while still giving me the experience of the eclectic Paris culture. Everything was superb.
