We love La Bella Vita! Truly a cozy gem in Webster with amazing food and service. Family owned and it shows- from the warm welcome by the owners every time we come in, to the hospitality of the staff, to the delicious food that Chef puts out. My favorites are their homemade soups and pastas, along with the pizzas. They have some nice seafood dishes as well, as I don't eat meat, and they always accommodate that for me. Nice room in the back for smaller parties as well. Open area to sit and watch the pizza making happen. Just a wonderful place that we love to go to for a great meal and friendly service.

Came here for my and my boyfriend's one yesr anniversary, and we loved it. We ordered the clam sauce pasta and the chicken parm and it was great. A little pricey, but worth every cent. I'm a fan of the complimentary bread and salad. It's a cute little place. It wasn't too bright, dark, or too loud. Our waitress was great too! Super sweet and attentive.

We always have a monthly dinner with cousins and it has been difficult finding a place that can accommodate our group of 15. Not only did they do this but the food and service was wonderful. Everyone said it t was the best cousins dinner ever! Thanks to a place that made everyone feel so comfortable and welcome!!

Just had lunch here and it was good. We came after the lunch rush as it was not busy at all. Ordered a pizza and a panini and it was good. Wanted to order the wood fired wings but they were out of them. I would come back again to try them.

A small group of us recently returned to La Bella Vita because we previously enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. This time we had a very negative experience and won’t be returning. I am a hearing impaired person so I thought it was just me that the music was blaring making dinner conversation extremely difficult. My friends told me they had asked the waitress to request that the music be lowered but it hadn’t. This was before I even entered. When I asked, the response was,” we can we will.” 10 minutes later there there was no discernible difference and when asked politely, our waitress told us it had been. It was clear they really didn’t care. There was a separate bar that was receiving music but it should not have been that loud in the main dining area. This is a very negative reflection on the type of training and attitude that is portrayed by their staff. There was one young busboy that was extremely attentive and he would probably have cared but if the managers didn’t respond or the wait staff didn’t communicate that is a poor reflection on the restaurant.

Went for a last minute dinner at 9 pm and they were still open until 10pm, and happy to have us. The service from the busboy to the server and everyone before and after was really friendly and accommodating. The food was serviceable, I would almost call it home style - and the portions were very large. Nice selection of both house and seasonal cocktails and great wine offerings

Can't think of a reason to remove a star. The food is as good as it gets for Webster NY. It's almost gourmet. The stuffed artichoke is a fantastic appetizer. The wood fire shrimp pizza was cooked perfectly. We will go back for certain. Update 2024: Just paid $54 for an 8 ounce steak special. It came with some veggys and french fries. It's way too overpriced. I think they know their food is great, and now they are gouging on prices.

This is a really great restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious. I could tell you that because I can make all of those dishes.. I'm 100% Italian and my family grew up in Italian cuisine my husband is a chef. He's born in Italy also. It was just a little too dark.. it would have been nicer if we didn't have to wait 2 hours for our meal... We should of had a reduced bill to compensate for the wait... My 2 granddaughters had 2 leave with my Daughter-in-Law. It was very late at 9:00pm... Service was good but they were shorthanded.. driveway to the rear parking needs more illumination to see when it gets dark...

Great food. Great service. Be prepared for the steps that lead you up the stairs. Looks like drop Off might be available for drop off before parking.

The service was great! The ambiance was cozy and romantic besides the pop radio music, that didn't really match the vibe. The food was good but I was expecting a lot more for the price. That was a slight char taste that was pretty much all I tasted, not a fan. Decent food but overpriced.

This place can be good and average....just depends on what you order. The service is very good. I've been here a lot and I have yet to have a server who isn't solid. They are trying too hard with the food to put their own slant on things. I have been craving a decent filet steak for weeks, so I got the special filet last night. It wasn't cheap. It came with shaved brussel sprouts. How could a decent restaurant mess that up? They rested the steak on the sprouts, which are all buried in some sort of tomato sauce liquid....like a lot of this liquid. It was like brussel sprouts soup with a filet sitting in it. The steak was somehow dry and definitely medium well instead of medium. The whole thing was really a mess, unfortunately. I still like the ambience and the staff here. My buddy got the pizza and really liked it. I'm here all the time for work, but I'll by keeping my orders simple from now on.

Escarole is what u put in the greens and beans not carrots and cut lettuce ends . The sausage was blend and I didn't enjoy my meal @ all . Hubby got chicken milanese and he couldn't cut through it. We left unhappy.

Overall I liked the taste of the food and the interior. But the food preparation took more than an hour, which is unacceptable. Large selection of alcoholic drinks. The menu is varied.

Great selections and good quality. Ice ambience, friendly , even a seat at the bar for dinner is great.

Seven of us had dinner at La Bella Vita. We were seated in an alcove so we were in a private space, which was lovely. The only thing I didn't like was that the music was too loud. The waitress was very helpful. She knew the menu very well and was quite efficient. We originally chose La Bella Vita because a couple of us wanted tripe, which isn't a usual offering. Between us, we had five entrees and four appetizers. Everything was delicious. While the prices seem quite high, the servings are large. We will definitely return.

I like the new location. I like the selection and the preparation, the service, the wine list, and the decor. I like that the bar is separated from the restaurant, because the bar can get noisy. I like that they have a grill outdoors and that they use it. I guess I just like this place.

If they have Casino Clams... Go for a plate! Clams, sausage, bacon, onions, cheese & bread crumbs fire roasted in the shell. Yummy! I went with house-made lasagna. It was good but the sauce was lacking spicy Italian notes. Was more like a tomato sauce with a hint of flavor. Same sauce on the meatball, although it worked. Lots of cheese with some meat in there too. Fresh shaved parma and a garnish in top was a good meal. They do have a spicy sauce but that costs extra. Finally ready to leave and our waitress said she made some fresh Cannolis. Italian style where they are not too sweet, lots of creamy filling and chocolate chips to fall in live with. Safe bet, nice beer/wine selection

Loved this place! I was in town visiting my daughter at college for family weekend and wanted to try this Italian restaurant that we tried two years prior but couldn't remember the name. Anyway, we put this address in the gps and headed out. Eventually, we realize that this was not the right restaurant 3/4 the way there. It was late and we decided to just continue and try this place; as the reviews were really good. Let me say, best mistake ever! The food was absolutely delicious! Our waitress (can't remember her name) was very attentive and gave us great suggestion when we were trying to decide between dishes. The portions were plentiful and the atmosphere was nice as well. You must try the wedge salad. Absolute the best I've ever had! We also had: Pollo Pizza Certified Angus Steak Risotto of the day w/ salmon House cut fries w/ garlic and (something else. Can't remember) If you are ever in the Webster area, please visit. The next time I'm in town, we are definitely going back. It's a little pricey but worth it!

Had a delicious dinner here a couple days ago. I got the homemade ravioli and a meatball and it tasted great. My husband had one of their pizzas and shared some of my food as well and we both can't wait to go back! Service was also really fast and helpful. Definitely the best Italian food we've had in the area and would recommend.

Atmosphere varies due to the volume of noise from loud conversation and loud music. Food is inconsistent: the chef can't make a decent marinara, which is a problem for an Italian restaurant. Dishes are over-thought and complicated. They should stop trying to channel David Burke and instead prepare fresh, simple dishes that are the hallmark of real Italian food. Service, in the main, is attentive and respectful.

Food is over priced, service just ok, like the old location better. Our last visit was one of those where you said I don't think I'll come back.

Went w family . All regular restaurant goers, multiple cities. Ive never known any of them to complain loudly in a restaurant. So i dont either. In retrospect that isnt the best approach. Because if others had been honest before me i might have been spared what was probably the worst meal out ive had in memory. I ordered Risotto of the day, a "house specialty". The rice was borderline hard , it was either undercooked or reheated .....several times. The sauce was gloppy, salty, acidic and sour. The chicken was dry and rubbery, a texture and chewiness what i imagine 3 day old thruway stop Chinese buffet might inflict. I ate it 14 hours ago and my stomach is still off. My brothers said their dinners were good. No one raved ( except my dad about tripe..... ), i suspect they were being almost as polite as me. On the bright side, The service was solid. Wood burning pizza oven is a work of art, and the open fire offers a nice warm air to the space. Fortunately, or more likely unfortunately , my dad loved the tripe. So I will probably be forced to return, since my dad loves his tripe and recently moved nearby;Next time i think ill just have pizza. It is cheaper so that If that fails at least i wont feel so bad about tossing leftovers in the trash.

This is the best restaurant ever. ! I recommend it for family dinners or for date night or even for business or by yourself ! The food is always on point. I know what I like and I like this food. And all the people there are beautiful and nice and welcoming. Just all around the best place to eat in Webster.

Went for a last minute dinner at 9 pm and they were still open until 10pm, and happy to have us. The service from the busboy to the server and everyone before and after was really friendly and accommodating. Came here with my husband a while ago. Service was great and food was Amazing I had the drunken clams and it was 10/10 The lamb was fantastic and the cake was to die for

This place is amazing. They make a lot of there pasta I house. The food is always delicious and servers make sure your always taken care of. We had a table of 5 last night and all the appetizers, salads and main courses were serve red in perfect order. Last night I had what they call a brick chicken. It was so tender and moist it just melted in your mouth.

Food is delicious. Service was great ambience is nice and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Oh my god! You have to try this place from heaven! Caremark tender as it can be! Wonderful tasty sauces. White one has a local that I love. Same great service! We sat out side and it was heaven! Never even knew it was there. Drinks still wonderful! Bead still the bomb!! Lasagna light and flavorful! My husband was very pleased with the veal park! Large portions!! This is my new heaven hidden hideaway!! Highly recommend! The cook is always there no waving from the awesomeness! Thanks again for exceeding my expectations in a restaurant!we go out frequently and enjoy telling everyone about our experience! Thanks again to our wonderful waitress! We will be back soon! Great atmosphere and the food was superb. We had the Caprese salad and asked for tomatoes to be substituted in for the eggplant and the chef was very accommodating. It came with a small mixed green salad and the dressing was light and complementary. My partner had the peas and ricotta pasta which he loved. It's a small restaurant with an open floor plan so it reminds you of a family restaurant which gives it a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was well appointed. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely go back.

My wife and I have come here for dinner over the last several years and we always have a wonderful time. Last week, we came here for dinner. We both had the lasagna dish and it was delicious. I had a cup of crab bisque soup, which I enjoyed. The service was excellent. We returned later in the week for another dinner. This time we had the special. My wife had the fish fry and I had the Italian Bronzino. This was Sea bass, risotto, and grape tomatoes. I've had this dish before and I was not disappointed a second time. This was a very good dish, and I strongly recommend to all future customers. My wife enjoyed the fish fry. The service as always was excellent. We show up around 4:30 PM to have the early dinner and to avoid the crowds since it could be hard to get reservations at times. It does get crowded on Friday evenings. If you do come here to eat after 5 PM, be sure to look at the specials listed on the blackboard.

We love the atmosphere here. The service was excellent. A very experienced waitress was very knowledgeable, comfortable and engaging. The food was good but a little pricey. Although you could say that about most places worth going to. We definitely will be back.

The food was barely ok- My husband ordered spaghetti with traditional sauce and I ordered the meatball appetizer and a small salad for our dinner. Our food was ordered at approximately 6:45 - after speaking to our server about the wait, the food arrived at about 7:30 - the server said the kitchen was backed up; however the restaurant was almost empty- my meatballs came with toast points that were burnt black- I asked my server if she would eat them and she said no. We won't be going back.

I went there as a treat for my bday and what a gem! Perfect stuffed artichokes and excellent service. Classic decor. Will definitely go there again! Lots of parking and friendly owners. Risotto was wonderful! I think perhaps they even deliver!

Its always nice to find a great restaurant We didn't know this place existed until we saw it advertised on TV so this was our first time coming here. Came with wife and a friend for a birthday celebration. The service was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. Took our drink orders and left us with the menus. The menu was the perfect size (ever been to a place that has a book for a menu?) The appetizers (clams casino, Caesar salad) came quickly. The full meal was excellent and cooked to perfection. Very generous portions! Its not an inexpensive place, but we will certainly come back!!

Love love love this place the gnocchi is to die for their sauce is amazing and the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because every now and then I get a pizza that is just okay but I've had them where I want another one just for leftovers so it must depend On who makes it! My guests I've brought have always loved their food and they have great specials!

Great dinner. Great service especially during these trying times of Covid. My only critic would be I felt the drink prices were a bit on the high side but other than that it was great.

Miss the old La Bella Vita. New building is loud, not as quaint as the original location. While the food is generally good, when staff asks for more in tip I am done. Wow. I was gob smacked.

One of my favorite local restaurants for food, atmosphere and service. I would have given 5 stars this time but the bartender on Thursday Nov 30 was not very friendly, never smiled, seemed irritated when we asked for things but was nicer to a single man that sat down. A big difference in service from the other bartender that waited on us on Monday Nov 27! She was fantastic!

This place reminds of going to grandma on Sunday . The veal is out standing twice in the last three weeks. The owner and his wife are very nice.

The ambiance inside was very cozy and it is much bigger than it looks from the street. The food was really, really outstanding! The service a perfect blend of efficiency, friendliness and knowledge of the menu. Even on a Saturday night I did not feel rushed in any way. I had heard great things about this restaurant and all were true. Highly recommend!

Soon after moving to Penfield 15 years ago we dined here but never returned until last week. I guess nothing jumped out about that experience that we rushed back and given the number of Italian places in ROC there were plenty of other options. The four of us arrived early in order to get a table before it got crowded. We were seated in the main dining area and it indeed filled up quickly (they only take reservations for big groups). The service was attentive to get us started but as it got crowded they went missing at times. We did like the music during dinner - it was a nice touch. We started off with drinks and some appetizers - the Bada Bing shrimp were pretty good but a bit too much breading on the shrimp. For our mains we had pizzas and the Greens and Beans. The B&G was declared to be excellent, even better than Tony D's, with whole cloves of garlic. The pizzas were good but nothing exceptional and to be honest a bit expensive for the size. Certainly this place has a following but again I walk away saying it was good but not sure it stood out enough to return in the near future.

A friend and I went for a drink and a light salad and soup. Now I like my salt, but the chicken lentil soup was so salty, we couldn't even eat it! At 8:45, I asked for a pizza to go. I was told the pizza guy was gone and no one else was trained to make pizzas. I said, "I'll order something else then". The waitress abruptly says, "The kitchen's closed!" I told her the hours state the restaurant is open till 9:00. The polite thing for her to do is apologize. She just repeated herself saying, the kitchen is closed. I told her to let the kitchen staff know I was not happy about the very salty soup nor was I happy with not being able to place an order to go. This wasn't my first time not enjoying my experience there, but I gave them a second chance.. only because of location convenience. NEVER should have done it! Will NOT go back there! There's way too many other restaurants that are much better! (No staff came to our table to attend our concerns either). This restaurant deserves zero stars!

Today's lunch experience really threw me. Usually this is one of my favorite place- a solid 4.5 stars. Today I felt like I was dining somewhere different. The service was very pleasant, and it was nice out so we were able to sit on their patio in a nice half-shade, half-sun situation. We ordered the grilled Caesar salad, something I know is fantastic. On the part I've gotten chicken, but since it was Good Friday, we opted for the grilled shrimp! They do this all in their Wood-fired oven and it was fantastic! We were hungry so we decided to split that and an eggplant parm panini. Unfortunately we were accidentally served a meatball panini. It looked incredible and if it hadn't been Good Friday we would have devoured it without complaint. But again, no meat. So we politely informed the waitress. She was very gracious and quickly addressed the error. This was the beginning of the never-ending-sandwich! After waiting almost 30 minutes for the eggplant panini to be prepared, we were sorely let down by the quality of the panini. The meatball one had been dripping in sauce and smothered in melted cheese. This one just had a lot of fried fried fried .. eggplant? I'm not entirely sure there was even eggplant in it. It was very fried. And very little sauce, practically dry. And a little cheese. I'm not sure if this was to make up for the cost of the meatball one that they had really focused all their ingredients into, or if that had been the last of the cheese? We then ordered a side of sauce (delaying the inevitable eating of the sandwich again) and were finally able to pick away at parts and dip them in the sauce. The sauce was good, the bread of the panini was perfect. Doughy inside, crunchy outside. The Caesar salad was delightful, and the meatball panini looked and tasted (from my accidental bite) incredible. I guess we should have just bitten our tongues, eaten the meatball and chalked this one up as a sin! The eggplant was just not worth all that trouble. Disappointing. And nevertheless, we will be back for dinner. Dinners here have never let us down.

Simply put: i had the most delicious meal of my life here. The pizzas are amazing, but the chicken masala is the best anywhere.

Good okay service of host insulting jade us wait when reservations were not coming after 1/2 hr late and then when they finally seated us made us move. I was never treated so poorly anywhere.

Ten of us showed up for lunch one day this week. Sadly they had no record of the reservation I had placed over a week ago, but that did not stop the wait staff from being pleasant and accommodating. It is getting harder and harder to find places that will agree to separate checks for larger parties. The entire experience was very enjoyable and relaxing. On top of that the food was great.

I had the fish special. It was grilled halibut with risotto and butternut squash purée. I wish I had taken a picture of it because it was very pretty to look at. That being said, I wasn't impressed with the flavor. There was little or no seasoning on the dish and even salt and pepper didn't help it much. My husband had the chicken French and it was just ok too. The atmosphere is very nice and the distancing was excellent! Our waitress was good too. If I go back I think I'll try the pizza as they looked really good!

Mother's Day buffet brunch - very disappointing. First off, we contacted them via the "Contact Us" page from their website. I received a reply, asking how many in the party and later what time (12:30). After a few days we called to confirm, and were told that they don't take online reservations! Ok. Why not say as much in the two emails to me regarding size of party and time? Our waitress seemed very out-of-it. Maybe that had to do with the fact that the cappuccino (espresso?) machine was broken? Anyway, good was ok. The Italian selections were good. The staff appeared to be lost at times...no plates....no serving utensils... Our waitress forgot a soda, and then later a wine refill. And it wasn't busy at all. To top it off, there was an automatic 18% gratuity added to the $40 plus drinks tab.

We had a nice lunch today that included pizza, panini and gnocchi. The gnocchi comes with a nice helping of sauce. There is no bread or salad provided. I asked our server for a piece of bread and was told bread is not provided at lunch but he would check. He returned and said they wasn't any available. Many people like to dunk bread into their sauce which was very good. I can not believe they couldn't provide this simple request. No Italian bread at lunch at an Italian restaurant?

Made reservations for Friday before Valentine's Day. Upon arriving we where seated right away which was nice. The inside is decorated nicely and is on the darker side which made it kind of have a more intimate feeling. They only offered a limited menu due to the holiday which if we had known before hand would have probably chose another restaurant. My wife ordered the surf and turf. The filet was over cooked slightly but still tasted good. The lobster was cooked nicely and was a decent size. I ordered the chicken parm which was served over penne pasta. The portion size was HUGE. But sadly it was also over cooked which made it on the dry side. Both where served with a side salad and bread as well. Our server was nice but probably could have checked in on us more. Overall service seemed a little slow, we where there for about 90 minutes. I'll probably be back to try it again when there full menu is a option to order off of.

One of our favorite places - often getting take out. We went into the restaurant tonight for the first time since reopening, and it was a great experience! Many precautions taken. The specials were tasty and service was outstanding- thanks!
