La Belle Epoque

This restaurant was our spontaneous choice but was the best surprise for our Paris trip. Foods was amazing and the young beautiful lady who was serving us, has the greatest service minded. We were happy with this restaurant.

Real great food. The appetizer in particular was fantastic - fresh sea bream slices in pistachio oil. Entrees also very tasty with well made sauces.A bit on the expensive side than many bistros but reasonable given the food quality.

Came in by chance and what a jackpot it was! By far the best salad I had in Paris. As a chef I am rarely impressed with salads… The summer salad is truly a gem! The chicken was delicious also. I highly recommend this place.

Best restaurant in Paris! I no longer live in Paris but whenever I’m back it’s my first and last stop. I recommend the poulet and the burger. Their chocolate mousse is to die for! And their philtre d’amour cocktail is simply amazing!

La Belle Epoque is a cozy brasserie nestled close to the Opera Garnier and offers classic French fare as well as seasonal dishes you will love. This is my second time eating at this place but first time eating dinner. No reservations needed as the dining room is rather large. Dinner is served inside only and not at the tables outside where you can have lunch or drinks at night. We had the cod, burger, fries and beet/ feta salad. Finished it with a creamy scoop of pistachio ice cream. The menu is not in English but the staff speak English and was super attentive. Last but not least, the atmosphere is fantastic with music that is not too loud. The building is from the art deco era so you will be surrounded by gorgeous art deco tile and art. Our meal with optional tip was 90 euros.

Nice location but staff appeared stressed. Food came extremely fast. The fish was bland but the chocolate mousse for two (or definitely more!) was good. By the glass wine was also ok but I found it too expensive overall for what we had.

Overall, the food was awesome, but a little bit over priced, hard to communicate in English, and the service was normal compare to that price. They only has today’s special as menu (no regular menu) I guess this is typical French restaurant. We were’t happy at the beginning because of the communication issue. As soon as the food came out it changed my mind. Food was awesome and that’s why I still give them 4 star with all these matters.

What a fabulous spot! Great place to watch the world go by while enjoying delicious food, good wine, and I must give a shout out to Francesca who made this wonderful experience even more fun by her friendly and frankly fabulous disposition.

We came in on the last day of Fashion week 2025. Group of 8 with 4 adults and 4 kids (age +10). We were told no walk-ins, only reservations. We did notice there were a bunch of open tables around prime time (8pm), but obliged and left. On a whim, I went on the website to see if there were reservations available, and there were, so we made a reservation and returned shortly thereafter. When the host realized we were the same party, we were denied entry / service. Pointing to fashion week, our attire (shorts, despite the fact that several people / tables had shorts).

My husband and I came here for dinner one night in Paris after getting a recommendation from another restaurant nearby that was full. We walked in around 6 pm and were able to get seated immediately. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was pretty empty at this time, but people started coming later. The ambience is beautiful and feels romantic and French. The food was satisfying and filling. The menu is traditionally French, but has some modern touches. My husband had the chicken, while I had the fish. The main dishes are big enough to fill you up on their own. Would recommend if you're in Opera and looking for a good French meal.

Incredible service. We had glasses of wine before 6pm dinner at the sidewalk people watching and catching up with our group, going over pictures and memories. We had the beef, fish/mashed potatoes and chicken The beef was a hearty slab of fall apart brisket in a rich brown sauce. The cod was served on a bed of potato and light white wine cream sauce. The chicken was a breast that should have been butterfly style to cook evenly, overall nothing to complain about. Service was top notch and the ambiance was lively and upbeat. Only negative too many mirrors on the walls.

Lovely restaurant with some nice 1920s decor. Service was a bit hit & miss even though it wasn't very busy. The food was excellent, as it should be at the prices they charge. The steak was the rarer side of medium but that seems to be common in France. The highlight was definitely the apricot & pistachio tart. I'd go back for that any day!

What a piece of crap rip-off restaurant. Terrible food and service and ridiculously expensive. Run down decor, stuffy, stodgy ambience and rude waiters. OMG stay away. Ther vegan main course was so small i got $1 of vegetables for 25 Euros, laughable!

You can tell it's a fancy place just by looking at the people around you. Probably a lot of people working in the fashion industry. All with a Chanel bag on their knee. I got the Cerf noisette For 27€ and it was delicious. I would recommend it highly if you like good meat. I also got the cheesecake for desert. I lived in NYC and LA for a while and I have to say it's just as good as the ones you can get there! So I would definitely recommend this place. The service is not the best though. They are not rude but not too friendly either.

Incredible calarami. Great location, incredible service(not common in France). Great for people watching, desserts were a tad disappointing but I've got high standards in that arena. White fish and tuna are by far the two best. The two beef dishes and the chicken are solid but tasted like most other quality beef and chicken dishes I wouldn't put them at the top unless you've got a fetish for one of the two. A friend had the burger(with manchego) said it wasn't worth the price but did like it. Would recommend going just for the scene. Better for dinner. Probably one of the top 30 spots in town.

Great ambiance, great food, great service. Server spoke excellent English, even though the place is off the beaten path for tourists. My steak was cooked perfectly.
